While we can get it later, there are no serious consequences on getting it now. I'd rather have practical information on an enemy who we're all but guaranteed to fight in the near future while we're still safe, rather than five minutes before (or, more probably, during) another fight for our lives.
It costs us the opportunity to interact with Mizore and her family.

In the manga, Mizore's mom is fully on board with getting her daughter a husband.

In the anime, he's just an unspecified youkai (presumed to be Yuki-Otoko, but unelaborated upon) who wears a yeti suit for trolling people.
In Rosario and Joestar, he's a legit Abominable Snowman/Sasquatch/Yuki-Otoko.... who also goes around as a dude in a yeti suit for trolling people.

In Capu2 (the second season of the anime), Tsurara and Ageha (Mizore and Kurumu's mothers, respectively) also end up falling in love with Tsukune, though they are also supportive of their daughters' efforts in the Great Monster Harem BattleTM. Yukari's mother, however, appears to be immune (perhaps because Mr. Sendou is shown to have a mustache?).
In the manga, IIRC Ageha actually doesn't get nearly as much focus/screentime (not that she was a major player in Capu2 to begin with), and Tsurara is not shown to have any designs of her own toward Tsukune.

The first season of R+V is actually pretty good.
The second season well.... how do I put this? The ideas behind it are mostly crap, but at least Funimation was able to work their usual kickass dub magic on it and make everything (except for the FUCKING curry episode) watchable?
Also, Capu2 is literally the only source we get AFAIK for anything regarding Yukari's parents and Mizore's dad (none of whom are given any lines at all, natch).
Capu2 is... well... I don't necessarily want to openly say that it's bad because it does have some things I like about it, but it's definitely Way, WAAAAAAAAYYYYYY Less Good Than The Manga Or Even The First Season Of The Anime.
It's definitely "Not Great", but I still accept it as canon within the anime continuity and ambiguously canon for the manga where there are no contradictions (namely, regarding Yukari's mom and dad and Mizore's dad).

There was a bit of material regarding Yukari's mother in the Season 2 manga. Admittedly, there's not much, because it's a running gag that she gets overlooked easily (to the point where one [gag?] scene has her resort to bringing dynamite to the school so that they'll notice her for something).
