"Alright then", I turned to Rin, "this might sound strange, but I feel that I need to do it this way. Please let it play out, specially because technically we don't actually need the Servant if the only thing we want is information. I'm rather curious about what kind of Servant would answer the call myself, and I'm not sure if we can fetch a good catalyst to get a Servant who can deal with this clusterfuck by himself."
Rin sighs in resignation before nodding. "Couldn't make things worse, to be honest. Besides I saw you pull some pretty unbelievable things out of your ass before, might as well trust in you."
I nodded with a smile. "Thanks for the vote of confidence. Now", I turned to the summoning circle before cleaning my throat, readying myself.

There was an explosion of light blinding us both for a few moments. When our vision returned, we saw a man staring back at us with a smirk on his face. He wore modern day clothing, with a weapon on his hand.
He looked familiar to such a degree it was almost eerie.
For all the wrong reasons.
"'Sup."
He said in the most casual manner possible.
I stared at him, he stared back at me with that smirk of his. I waved my hands towards him, pointing out to his... everything. "Why?"
"Because reasons." He responded as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Rin just stared back and forth between me and him, letting out a strange sound from her throat.
At that moment Luvia came back to the lab. "Mr. Andre, the Vice Director is calling a meeting with... why there are two Andre in the room?"

There were three options, option one and two are you summon yourself, and option three you summon a different servant.
All summonings hinge on the fact of Andre unique existence in the Nasuverse as an absolute outsider. While the Root exists and is the source of his own reality, his own world differed from the Nasuverse from it's very conception.
Parallel universes, or Mirror Worlds, works on the same underlying physics, and you can make an argument that they both could happen if the right circumstances line up.
Alternate universes, or AR Worlds, differ from it's very conception during the Big Bang. While they might look similar enough between each other, they're entirely separate entities.

"Alright", said Rin after rebooting, "what's going on?"
"No clue", said servant-me-who-was-into-cosplay, "the grail just said 'there's the grail, be the last one standing, win and get a wish, the guy with the command seal have your leash and if he dies you're screwed, have some contemporary knowledge not to screw things up, have fun' and then I'm back into the past."
"Didn't this happen last time you were here?" I asked with a frown, not liking the implications of that.
"Nope, for me the Dead Apostle Ancestors decided to start their little mass genocide ritual ahead of the projected schedule, and I had to fight in that clusterfuck. What month and year is it again?"
"August, 2008." I supplied.
"Yeah, the ritual and subsequent war started on our birthday." He shuddered at the memory, "way to spoil the date. I will never see a strawberry cake the same way again."
"In the end summoning a Servant proved to be useless to give us information", said Rin a bit irritated, "still we have at least someone strong enough to fight on his own. That must count for something."
"Of course, still before that we need to ascertain if we can properly work well with each other."
Luvia approached us before glancing back and forth between us. Servant me flashed her a grin with a wink, making the woman blush. I tried to ignore that byplay for now.
"What do you mean?" Asked Rin, "you both seen quite comfortable with each other, also the Grail when choosing a Servant based on compatibility would bring in someone that could work together with you the best. Also, he's you."
"Perhaps, still we need to figure out where we stand out ideologically." I said in all seriousness, "he's from the future, and I don't know how he might have changed since then, not counting the fact his origin might have deviated a little bit from my own, giving him an different perspective overall. I don't want an EMIYA situation on my hands."
At this Rin winced since she heard the story from Shirou already, before nodding.
"Alright then. First off, what do you go by?"
He chuckled for a moment. "I'm servant Caster, this", he brought his totally not Junkyard Dog MkIII on his hand, "is my magical amplifier device. The fact that I also bash skulls with it is coincidental."
That actually makes things easier. "Right. I have only one question for you."
"CORE or ARM?"
Both Rin and Luvia stared at us in incomprehension.
"Death to ARM scum."
I let out a tension I didn't knew I had in my body, before nodding. "Good news, he's cool."
"Wait, what was that?" Said Luvia while looking back and forth between us, while Rin massaged her temples.
"I could tell you, but do you really want to know?"
"I really, really don't at this point", said Rin before pinching the bridge of her nose and trying to will away the headache.
"Trust me Rin", said Caster, "it could have been worse for your sanity."
"How?"
He flicked his hair back before striking a pose, with a conjured card on his left hand. "Tada no tourisugakari no kamen rider da!"
Rin's eye started twitching, obviously recognizing the words kamen rider. Luvia for her part was completely lost on what was going on.
"Aaaanyway how do you plan to stay up? You probably already noticed I can't give you prana to sustain your existence."
"Give me a minute", he said and started to work.
Caster cut his wrist and let the blood flow on the ground, which immediately became a very large magic circle. A flash, and a few tiles on the floor were turned into bricks of some kind of pure material, the impurities laying on the ground as dust. A few more cuts and magical circles later he had a pendant he put over his neck before nodding.
"I'm good to go", he said, much to Rin's absolute shock.
"Wha? Huh, uuuuuhhhuuu WHAT? HOW!"
"The harder part is to have an anchor", replied Caster, "a servant can sustain himself either on souls or ambient mana if he knows how, and souls are preferable only because it take less energy to acquire it than the later method in the modern era. I can bypass that little problem because, you know, Second Magic."
Luvia nodded in agreement while Rin face palmed. "I can't believe sometimes I forget you can use the Second."
Caster nodded, before conjuring a flash drive on his hand. "Here, some data you might find valuable." He said while tossing the flash drive to me. "It relates to our Magical Bio-Engineering, Kaleidoscope Affinity and some knick and knacks I found really useful."
"Neat", I said while pocketing it. "Better go see the Vice Director before she chew us out."
As Rin lead us out Luvia was still a bit out of it. "I'm not entirely sure what's going on."
"I will give you a summary my lovely lady", said smoothly Caster, making Luvia blush once more.
"Dude, she's at least half your age."
"What's important is that she's legal." He said before giving his arm to her, "please, allow me."
She took his arm with an indulgent smile, before the two of them went ahead.
He must have some kind of charisma skill because Luvia is nowhere like that around me, and we are essentially the same person!
