Month 5 (August): Nasuverse (HFTE), London: The Beginning (2)
"...dre! Andre wake up!"

I opened my eyes abruptly, the dream already fading in my memory. "Wha? What, what happened? Who died, who's attacking?"

I asked the last bit more as a joke, but Rin had a grim look to her while Luvia was staring at outside the window. "You will want to see this."

As I stand up and take a look at the window, I can clearly see the city outside. It was already night, but instead of the normal London night life I saw chaos on the streets, as blurs flew by both on the ground and above of the buildings. As the blurs passed, buildings would lose chunks of concrete, the street would ignite in flames and people would die, at least those that were still outside.

"This is crazy", I said while I scratched my forehead, "what the hell is happening?"

"Those are all Servants", said Rin with a sour look on her face, "someone started up the Holy Grail War, somehow, someway. It's better if you... stay... here..."

As she trailed off I could see her eyes widen, gaze locked directly to my face.

"What?"

Instead of answering, she created a projected mirror and I could see the image on my forehead.

"How, in the flying fuck, I have a command seal on my forehead?"

"That's what I'd like to know", she said a bit hotly, "nothing in you changed since the last time we performed tests on your body and soul."

"While that's fascinating", said Luvia dryly from my side, "what do we do now? The Clock Tower is up in arms, and it won't take long until they come after us to demand for answers and grill us for information. At the very least, people will be asking our master details about the ritual since he was involved in it's conception."

"We have to figure out what to do first." Said Rin in response, "how many other people have command seals? How many of these are magi, how many of these are normal people? Things are already terrible chaotic right now, not to mention how are we going to mask this whole mess from the general public."

Shaking my head, I went back to my desk and opened my desktop, and started doing research. This kind of event was more or less familiar.

Neither of the two woman said anything, hopefully trusting that I would know what I was doing. Luvia went outside, no doubt to assess the situation on the Clock Tower, while Rin remained with me as my bodyguard.

A few clicks later and I opened the page to Type-Moon's wikia where I was on the page of Fate/Grand Order plot summary and some of it's backstory. Basically at some point Solomon, or his Goetia persona, decided to go all emo and cursed the lineages of magi to be hosts of the demon lords he enslaved, with one once in an era being the perfect host for the Demon Lord, and thus destroying humanity.

In most timelines, the last host in 2015 manages to kill himself before the system is activated, making the world go on as normal (and letting the other doomsday scenarios play out), while in a certain timeline he survives and starts the clusterfuck.

The actual story involves The Protagonist that's a master from the Chaldea organization to send himself back in time, summon servants (acquire waifus) and break apart the singularity points that are causing this whole mess. I had the time periods Protag was supposed to go, except the local year of 2008 isn't on the list.

There was another link on the page of F/GO for an update called Fate/Grand Chaos, nicknamed by fans as the Heaven's Fell route of Grand Order. Nobody knew exactly what this plot entailed, though a few new Servants appeared, like non gender bender version of certain Servants and the promise that actual modern Servants would appear, like Audie Leon Murphy and Simo Häyhä from world war two.

The fans speculated that in the setting something happened that changed that utterly retarded rule that modern humans can't be heroic spirits.

As my stomach started growling, I realized I had slept the whole day and I'm both hungry and need to pee.

"I think I have a rough idea about what's going on. Can you send a message to Luvia to grab me something to eat while we go to the lab?"

"I will send a familiar to tell her that. What do you plan to do?"

"Well, since I have this", I pointed to my forehead, "might as well put it to use. Depending on who I summon we will get more answers of this situation."

Rin hesitated for a moment, "don't you think it's better if someone else become a Master? You can't generate prana, so how you're supposed to sustain the Servant?"

"The same way I'm not sustaining the command seal. Wasn't that thing supposed to go to magi only, or at least those that had magic circuits? Besides there's a precedent to that, during the Fourth Grail War in Fuyuki the serial killer Uryuu Ryuunosuke was selected as a master and successfully managed to summon Servant Caster Giles De Rais, with absolutely no knowledge of magecraft and a summoning ritual cobbled together in about five minutes."

Rin stared at me like I was crazy.

"I have the episodes on Crunchy roll if you want to watch."

"I believe you", she said quickly, "I really, really do. Now let's get to it already before my sanity takes another hit."

~~O~~

I was standing in front of the summoning circle where I would summon my own servant.

I could use the standard ritual, but something in my gut says I should use different words for the summoning to get the best effect possible.

What I should do?

[ ]Standard summoning
