On Thread Etiquette:

I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Please endeavour to be cordial. :^)

We probably could. We have like four Retainer AP now due to hitting 180? So three of those could go to training to finally finish it up and one for Waystone Scouting... depending if there wouldn't be any other activities that need help. Gotta finish the training in prep for deploying together with the Singing Slayer (Dragon).

And I think that's all of the actions for this turn? Correct me if I'm wrong though!

another benefit of the favor spent on getting more dwarves up north, we can recruit more for the hearthguard without worry of snapping up ALL the living ancestors

Even if we dont get standing get a boost, we should at least get new standing boons from the new holds, so that will only be good
Well we probably have to put in the work for it. Even if we speak for their creation does not automatically mean that the inhabitants will revere us. Especially if the colonists come from The Everpeak where our standing is mediocre.

That is why Snorri and retainers should help them once they start building there holds, along with using favors to help, that should raise MC standing with them

Thinking about it I feel like the standing bonus for the far north is likely to change or maybe we'll even temporarily lose it because all those new holds aren't going to be starting at standing 10.

The North is deeply in favor debt to two Elders who look like they might strangle each other if they were ever left alone in the same room.

The North is very concerned.

all those new dwarves entering the north, wonder how many of them don't have any runic gear? imagine if snorri gifted them all a set of rune items for living in the north?

They might not have Runic gear, though that comes from the ratio of runesmiths to non runesmiths in the south. Demand and supply leads to higher prices, so less dwarfs can afford runework.
Just let the local runesmiths make some money ffs.

Dont worry I'm sure Snorri, Karstha and the apprentices can whip out some decent gear for the immigrants.

We should still need to spend ap to give the new holds their starting gear.

asking snorri not to have a taller bed of gold to sleep on and more favors to bury dwarves under? shame on you! :V
Soon, even the Ancestor Gods will owe Snorri favors!
I mean, we managed to get Whitebeard to owe us a favor, and he's like, partially an Ancestor God in terms of presence as is, so... if we succeed, we may become "Snorri, Ancestor God of Debts, Favors, and Gifts." :V
(Joke)

Is Snorri going to race for "Dwarven God of Alchemy" so that he doesn't become the "Dwarven God of Debts" ala Thungni and the whole thing Zorn had going on with him?

It's a hilarious image, if nothing else.
Snorri (Now Ancestor God of Debts and Alchemy): Thungi-fucking-damnit, I was trying to avoid debts being my thing, why are debts still my thing?
