Fair, but every once in a while once we have the appropriate research done creating a new minion type I think would be alright for everyone if done reasonably if that makes any sense anyhow.Personally I'd like to stick to the vanilla minion types but I have had ideas for new types mainly ones with wings for fighting flying enemies and electric minions to deal with foes in heavy armor. Partially inspired by electrical barriers and hazards being added in Overlord Dark legends
Of course so long as sufficient research and effort is involved also naturally no making some ridiculous super minion with all the powers of the other typesFair, but every once in a while once we have the appropriate research done creating a new minion type I think would be alright for everyone if done reasonably if that makes any sense anyhow.
It is like....VEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERY far into the future.Assuming you guys don't die before the end times starts up and destroys the world
Correct assuming people don't decide to jump centuries ahead and have other npc Overlord's roaming the land in the meantime like it's implied in the games
Need two moreThese are my choices, time to reach the path of greatness!

Just a question: Are we going to be restricted to minions, or do we get better units later on?
I mean combine them with mounts and the browns can make armored soldiers do flips in the sky.Just a question: Are we going to be restricted to minions, or do we get better units later on?
because they are basically goblins with extra abilities, they are good when you have a group of them to overwhelm individuals or small groups but they are not that useful when you have to fight a enemy army.
They're more than just goblins. Each type has natural abilities and they will all loot enemy equipment to become stronger and you're going to be able to get your own army in this since we aren't limited by any game console engines on how many minions can be on screen at once. Also yeah minions on mounts are very powerful. If you mean getting forces that aren't minions, then yes you can recruit forces who aren't minions but it's going to take work since minions basically work for free except for being able to loot things and break stuff among other acts they enjoyJust a question: Are we going to be restricted to minions, or do we get better units later on?

each minion except blue has a similar unit to total warThey're more than just goblins. Oh I've already got ideas for what happens if the minions spend too much time around warpstone. Anyone whose played through Overlord 2 can probably make a guess at what I'm thinking ofeach minion except blue has a similar unit to total war
brown=goblins
reds= blue horrors
green= sneaky gits
blues, keep them in a fight
they be a good base level army as they are free and they numbers row quickly and once you have mounts like wolfs or giant spiders they be more threatening.
but the reason I ask is what if you find out that with warp stone you can mutant them and have your minions grow from goblin size to human size then they become a lot more valuable against higher level armies
I have a few ideas for a new minion types. A troll minion especially like the ones from Lord of the rings because it's unfair our dark overlord does not have trolls like that other dark overlord.Personally I'd like to stick to the vanilla minion types but I have had ideas for new types mainly ones with wings for fighting flying enemies and electric minions to deal with foes in heavy armor. I mean there are already trolls in the setting who are kinda superior to LOTR trolls seeing as they can go out in the sun and they regenerate and it's certainly possible for a savvy Overlord to recruit them. As for Urak hai I don't see a point to making taller minions it means your human soldiers can't shoot over them in battle. As for minions getting relevant Warhammer fantasy spells that could happen once you start getting some lord minions trained upI have a few ideas for a new minion types. A troll minion especially like the ones from Lord of the rings because it's unfair our dark overlord does not have trolls like that other dark overlord.
And maybe even a upgraded blue or red minion specializing in magic.
And maybe a brown upgraded version that's kind of like the uraki from Lord of the rings or just normal orcs.

Well brown minions are already stronger than a human I'd say they're just a bit weaker than an average orc and that's without considering any equipment they've looted since they can use just about anything as a weapon. Considering how dangerous trolls are in WHF it's probably best that they are dumb. Compared to most monstrous races in this setting the minions are a lot more trustworthy and loyalWell I was meaning specifically the Olog-hai trolls (trolls with the battle armor at the Battle of minas tirith) which were immune to sunlight as long as they were under the power of a dark lord. Plus they were said to be much smarter than normal trolls. Which makes them kind of fitting for our overlord army. If we were to experiment and create one.
I was just using urakhai as a example because in the Lord of the rings they're considered be like twice as strong and smarter as normal orcs so if we were to create a modified brown, it would go a long way. They don't have to be as tall as the urakhai, I just giving like illustration.
Browns are more like orcs considering they're pretty strong. Also you can't ignore that blues are immune to magic and can harm ghosts so they can be used to counter wizards and units who can only be damaged by magical attacks or are more susceptible to themeach minion except blue has a similar unit to total war

That could be countered by them not being able to regenerate.Considering how dangerous trolls are in WHF it's probably best that they are dumb
It is 100% possible to equip the minions with specific gear for different combat roles. I know browns didn't use them in the games but I see no reason they can't use shields if they're designed for human sized creatures or smallerThat could be countered by them not being able to regenerate.
Is it hard to ask for a berserker or a shock trooper version of the minions? Just imagine one of the minions being outfitted with massive amount of armor and a huge weapon and they just going charging.
Actually never mind about there being upgraded Brown version because I believe in the base game there is upgraded Brown minion. In the first game and the second game there was a special type of brown minion that guard the tower they were much bigger and they wielded huge weapons especially in the first game they had a huge like executioner axe (Bottom left).It is 100% possible to equip the minions with specific gear for different combat roles. Yeah they could be like our elite units because they seem like they're smarter and much more disciplined than the normal minions.
Yeah on mobile which i think screws that up sometimesYeah they could be like our elite units because they seem like they're smarter and much more disciplined than the normal minions.
Also, some advice @Orkyius be careful about double posting so much because you could get in trouble because of it.
Thanks that won't be confusing at all to read when I write it but I'm already thinking of an origin for the name
