Honestly I'm pretty fine with any of these options winning but the vibes of the forbidden master-servant relationship with your clan's ancestral enemy are just too good
 
right but how can we have the dramatic confrontation with our sister who is working for the enemy if we have no memory of our past

(the allegory is getting stretched but the closest analogue of the traitor-witch who was spurned by her clan and turned her backs on them in turn is probably mosi, if we want to compare to the original setting)
 
J6 had siblings too! I can't remember if Gaz posted in-thread her hypothetical reunion between J6 and Jay, in Petals of Carbon Steel.

edit: @VagueZ did some sleuthing and I don't think it ever existed beyond some idle musing in Discord, but you can imagine, yk, the happy moment where they finally meet again. And we could have it be bittersweet at best because our protagonist doesn't remember (and probably they'd be on opposite sides, anyway).
