Nice. Even if all these plans are inferior to making a beautiful Katana for maximum artist canvas, they are at least all correct. Now, I'm going to go read something bleach, where swords will be appreciated.

The unpopularity of a plan samurai after an adventure named samurai, astounds me. We aren't just a gun guy. We are named for one Japanese sword smith deliberately and the greatest of Japanese sword smiths accidentally.
It'd probably be 100% in-character to have Senji want nothing to do with Japanese culture given that he'd resent his Japanese parents. Plus if we ever make a sword there are other cool swords we can make besides the katana. I'm personally fond of the kilij.

Sure Senji probably hates his parents, but he hates what they represent, and how they're a part of the corporate machine that holds no love or compassion.
The idea of him taking back what it means to be a Musamune is pretty compelling, make it about being a creator, an artist again.
Getting started on making swords sounds like a good way to begin.

I'm going to advocate for a cyberpunk Tommy gun when the next turn rolls around.
I like the tommy gun idea and speaking of how do people feel about weaponized air or water?.
Like sleeping/poison gas? Or more like Titanfall eclectic smokescreen/EMP
