EDIT: Y'know, I just realized we're so far back that we're like a decade pre-DataKrash, meaning if that doesn't get butterflied or we do something about it preemptively we have that mess to look forward to eventually. Not that we really interface with it directly, but still interesting to note.

Best we can do is get our own, no wifi parts and tech schematic archive under whatever Megabuilding we take over. That way when everyone else is fucked, we can ride out the AI and show up in the aftermath with all the tech we need to put the other business into early graves.

A side thought- the Datakrash is also going to be an amazing option to slip out from Arasaka in a long term fashion. While we can build up and get to the point where we run away, we only need to hold out for so many years before the data wipe shows up and blurs our trail enough to buy us the time to escalate further (Assuming we aren't untouchable by then). Mind, that's a distance away, but it's a point of interest, not that Senji would know about it IC. Which is a shame as he has no reason to-... well, no, he does have reason to download a bunch of info for when he disappears himself later.

I was just about to bring up the idea that while most spouses offered to Senji by his parents would likely try to either do horrible things for their own gain and even kill him that we may be able to get a spouse for Senji that not only likes him but actually works really well for him. Though considering the culture and how his parents care more about money and status then their own sons well being seems like we would need to roll very high for that to happen.

If we do preserve a ton of data we might want to avoid making it way too obvious since that would bring way too much attention otherwise. Might be better to secretly use the information to discretely boost Senji's crafting abilities. At least for a good long while.

This is a decade of quest time into the future. I don't think boosting our amazing skills is going to be a priority. That much knowledge leveraged properly could topple all the other tech giants.

That's the problem, it's not even just the companies but many other countries. We also likely wouldn't be anywhere near as powerful by then to be able to hold our own against everyone, and I mean near everyone, that would want that knowledge and advantage for themselves.

The knowledge would be highly useful though. We'd just need to play the long game while still benefiting greatly until we can actually make full use of it and not get jumped by everyone. There is a good reason that giants like Arasaka are pretty much nations unto themselves and why we would want to amass that kind of power before even considering something like that.

Even if we get one who likes us we'd have to deal with her parents as well as ours. Some Corpo higher up is unlikely to like the idea of their kid's husband becoming a freelance gunsmith instead of another high ranking Corpo.

I did say that seems like there would be a chance that they would work well with Senji. That includes the possibility of them not just being great to have around themselves but willing to leave with him. Maybe even taking a ton of their parents resources if they hate their parents as much as Senji does. Though again, that would seem like it would require very high rolls.
 
Senji may be a mechanical genius and not even realize it, and just sees everyone around him as incompetent.

The Killer Angel is already causing big waves in Night City and beyond. Some freelance gunsmith made something so damn good that completely outshines Arasaka's stuff?
We can expect Senji to be approached by others who want to get into contact with Ghost. And Senji may be targeted just for his own handgun.

That is a problem that I think Senji has yet to fully grasp; that he is too skilled of a smith.
