Monitor of Creation: A DC Universe creator quest

Once, there was Nothing. And that Nothing groaned and stretched until it unleashed its power. A cataclysmic infinitude.

The Multiverse.

Infinite possibilities. Reflections of reflections of worlds upon worlds.

But now the scales have been tipped to destruction.

Darkseid, the New God of Tyranny, and Lord of Apokolips, has taken advantage of a void. Maddening schemes have separated Earth-1 from the multiverse, the home of the greatest heroes in existence.

Now Darkseid has used his power to create a new lynchpin in the multiverse. One where those same heroes will be tempted and pushed into his waiting embrace. This 'Absolute' universe could become an army that will drag Creation itself down into the depths of insanity and madness.

This cannot stand.

The Wonder Woman, she who tied the long-forgotten Truth of reality back into the minds of those who needed it, has given YOU a task.

Balance the scales against Darkseid as best as you can. Earth-1 shall return to its rightful place. She has foreseen it, but it may take too long and allow Darkseid's schemes to reach a critical point where another Crisis will occur.

YOU, Monitor, must ensure this new universe stands as a beacon of light against the Great Darkness. A lighthouse for Truth and Justice to fly towards.

... It would be far easier if you were not so newly formed. You may have the wisdom of your kind, but you are wary, unsure. The constantly repeating cycles of Crises instigated by Perpetua have left fissures and rifts in existence. Darkseid's gambit has not helped the matter.

YOU will start with the Beginning of it all, The Symbol of Hope and the First to be a Superhero. Superman.

You see it now, the rocket that would carry the Hero to Earth from Krypton. Infinite Timelines exist in the Past, Present, and Future. You wipe away the least stable and consider how to push the craft forward. The origin point will suffice for the beginning. Krypton.


The steadiest of options appears before you. Both the physical traits of the world:

[ ] Oddly fantastical (Magitech and fantasy elements)
[ ] A combination of two of these five might be stable as well (Write in, Pick 2)

And the social:

[ ] Imperial (MAWS, Viltrumite, Saiyan)
[ ] Pax Kryptonia (Galaxy-spanning culture where all species are "Kryptonian")
[ ] Pious (Religious and magical)
[ ] Stagnated (The end is coming, and they do not resist)

As you push for Krypton's place in this universe, you return your vision to the rocket. The likely Last Survivor of Krypton. Its temporal fissures must also be stabilized. Who is within it?
