The Enemy Within (WHF Witch Hunter Quest)

[X] Faith

Whatever happened, happened. Faith is the only choice that cannot fail, and makes a ton of sense.
Responsibility looks like a shortcut to suicide. Conviction depends on Markus being 100% right on the extent of his father's corruption and his motivations.
Faith is the only real boost to will, here. All the dead go to Morr's garden. They should not torment family.

[X] Responsibility

I admire the character-work of a man who cares about the people around him yet is still the memetic Sigmarite Witch Hunter. The fact that he still cares to convince a poor common hedge mage to join the colleges instead of killing her and is willing to put his life on the line for his apostate father's soul makes it all the more meaningful that he's still a fanatic inquisitor as a day job, as a logical, natural, conclusion to his lived experience.

[X] Conviction
It was not Markus who delved into dark sorcery and consorted with witches, and it is not his soul that refuses the judgement of the garden and blights his family with misery now. If he must kill his father twice to make it stick, then so be it, but he will not sabotage himself with guilt.

To be real. The fluff surrounding Responsible reads pretty terrible and while I'd normally have gone with Conviction, we've pretty much been destroying Marcus' conviction in himself without doing anything to build it back up. So... I'm not sure if that's the best route to take.

[X] Responsibility

Its questionable whether his father had fall to the point of being a person who deserves to be burned at a pyre, or if he is just a man who died because of the church zealotry and mistakes like the other potential mages and mutants killed by the church.

[X] Conviction

Take the L, bro, you died already, this is just embarassing, there is no runback here.

[JK] Alcohol

...what?

I just wanted to point out that father didn't show himself the first time we were here, but when we tried to leave he didn't want us to leave, I don't know if he was angry but maybe he wants something from us to find peace
