Earth Bet: House of the Sun (Cultist Simulator/Worm)

[X] Ensure Continuation: Mankind is a fragile thing, a group prone to failure and death. Yet that doesn't mean they should be wiped out. Remold them, change them until their beating hearts can withstand anything.

[X] Piety: Ensuring the rites and rituals are well kept and supplies are stocked.

[X] Protect the World: There are things that burn the world, it's a slow burn but eventually this world will be caught up in that flame. An apocalypse is unacceptable and so the skin of the world must be hardened.

I'm firmly opposed to Continuation. I've never liked the Carapace Cross, and the mention of change combined with Lady Mylissa's fondness of bees makes me think it will go in that direction.

The Thunderskin is the protector of the world, and though we do not directly follow in his lineage it is still a worthy duty.

[X] Piety: Ensuring the rites and rituals are well kept and supplies are stocked.

We are a priest of the Unconquered Sun, it would be only right to make sure the Sacra Solis Invicti are properly respected.

I wonder how much resistance there would be if Ensure Continuation wins. Earth Bet has a lot of reasons to fear that but Cauldron might be interested in the Cult if we meet them(hopefully in a good way).

Also what is the church of the unconquered Sun? And what is the Injunction?
The Church of the Unconquered Sun is the Christianity equivalent of Cultist Sim and during the occult World War 1 (in the 16th century) it broke, both due to the (later by two years) Division of the Sun and because even with the support of the Sisterhood the mainland just couldn't resist the Forge Long of Britain all that well and was turned into a ruined mess in the process. Afterwards it worshipped the 3 Solar Hours and the Watchman and probably wants to bring the Sun in Splendour back. Occult World War 2 doesn't really have a set date but it's at some point after 1930, regardless here it seems the War in the Sun was, again, lost by the Sun. How ironic. Also, Injunction most likely means the Entities' arrival.

Boy am I glad we got the literal best Name of Heart possible. Also, Ensure Continuation definitely means turning people into Carapace cross, I'd rather not both because that's the kinda biotinker stuff that gets the PRT called on your ass and because it's primarily a Moth thing. On the other hand Protect the world is the kind of stuff that everyone would help with and is so Heart that there's literally an Hour whose job it is to do so.

Yep. One of her kinder Names at that.

One of the kinder aspects of the Malachite: Mylissa, both Queen and Palace, who feeds all comers, whose body is the house in which her children dwell. Mylissa was not always a Name of the Malachite. She may have been a Name of another Hour - she may even have begun among the Carapace Cross, before she chose Eternity over History.

The Malachite still really likes bees though, and notably cares very little about the morality of its associates or endeavors. "Well intentioned" must never be confused with "safe", because we are journeying far from the human perspective with this one.
Nevertheless, this is the best we could have. In any case, we need to look at it from the positive side. Malachite has the most useful principles for us, the Heart, the Grail and the Moth.

Witherbrine26 I want to clarify what responsibilities we will have if Piety wins? As far as I understand it, this is the summoning of the creatures of Mansus and the search for occult ingredients, but is there anything else?

I do not believe that humanity will become the carapace cross, thats devolution i'm hoping for something like introducing the x-gene to compete with outside powers, but other things would be fun too!

I think it's possible that we will try to regain the savour-secret that humanity lost when it abandoned the carapace cross form.
This would allow humans to interbreed with alien creatures by devouring them. For example, this is how Worms appeared when one of the subspecies of carapace cross began to eat the corpses of an Hour.
If humanity gets savour-secret again, then in theory people could start devouring Shards and then leave the earth to continue devouring everything in their path.

Pretty much, you'll be the ritual master. So casting rituals, summoning spirits and gathering occult ingredients. You'll also be working with the learning/diplo/intrigue people in that role. The first to research rituals, and the latter two for supplies

I would like to point out that we as the PC almost certainly won't be involved in whatever research is done for Continuation if any option other then the researcher/cult lorekeeper wins. While in Protect the world the most likely method to safeguard the world will be to make wards and rites. Something as the ritual master of the cult will fall under us (if Piety win).

So people wanting to dictate the transformation or anything like that do be aware.
