why do people want to choose 'Your Marriage Prospects' so badly, isn't Marcus gay? If any marriages are gonna happen, assuming that it's guaranteed to be to a women since the whole point of these is to make alliances/deals through the siring of an heir with the blood of 2 houses, it's gonna be the most loveless and sexless affair imaginable.

that's why im picking it, its gonna be funny to see how Marcus reacts to his fruity sister needling him about marriage prospects.

It just seems like a good way to waste our time and potentially insult the already limited pool of local nobility near Ubersike that we could potentially ally with to have some leverage against Rikard. Plus, it doesn't seem realistic that we'd get any marriage prospects since it should be well known by now that we're a Witch Hunter so not only do we not have any legal properties that we can pass down but it's also likely that we won't live that long after we marry due to the nature of our work. Thus, any influence they may think they'll have with the witch hunter organization as a whole will be short-lived with our eventual death.

Markus' brief stint as a common worker was pretty fun. Comfy in a way I didn't expect.

As for what to ask, I'd prefer Career over Work. Career leans more into what Markus has experienced and done, while the latter is more about what Witch Hunters do in general.

Also, more potential to regale her about Markus' companions/friends! One of his friends is in the Colleges you know? Boast to our sister about all the rad things we got up to!

For the character it's nice to take an interesting in Maria's life but I do want to find out more about what the Emperor is up to eventually.

From what I understood, Work is more about myth busting than anything since it's sifting fact from fiction, while Career is more about Markus' experiences since it talks about his allies and the perks of the job, which can naturally segueway into his retinue since they're part of said perks and allies.

It is not enough to simply 'be a templar'. Your sister demands that you know where you are going, the allies that are going to help you get there, and the perks that await when you do.

[ ] Your Work
Maria has heard many stories of the templars, and regards you as a fine source of guidance in sifting truth from fiction. She is uncomfortably blase about the prospect, as if it were mere entertainment.
 
As unlikely as it is given her ongoing relationship, it would be hilarious if Erika ended up dating Maria. Markus's rage would make Khorne jealous.

Career is very focused on the future though. You could just as easily argue that Work will allow Markus to compare and contrast the tales Maria has heard with his own expiriences, and it would be missing the point the same way.
