Of Stolen Valor and Copied Flesh (A Clone Primarch 40k Quest)

I think we should mostly stick to traitors and xenos. People who are less likely to attempt to murderize us for being a clone of Curze. Mabye something like this.

--[] You are clone of Curze containing at least part of his soul and all of his mind

[] Plan: Lords of thunder and Lightning
-[] Three Squads of Night Lords
-[] A Squad of Thunder Warriors
-[] Four Squads of Nostraman Damnatii and Two Leman Russ Vanquishers

I want to pull an Emperor and rebuild the Thunder Legions, restore the Night Lords to what they were before we ruined them with our madness, and rely on the Magos to cure the Thunder warriors and create gene-enhanced imperial army solar auxilia.

Thunder warriors are among the only individuals capable of 1v1ing a custodes. They are also human and are extremely under utilized in the setting. I also would find it hilarious if we were to cure them, which we know is possible, and they interact with primaris only to laugh at them for being even less human than the astartes. I'm pretty sure you need a squad of astartes to take down one custodes and that Ushatan made a decent showing fighting Valdor who is basically a primarch in his own right.

Thank god no one has been fool hardy enough to pick the Deathwatch as an option. That may have worked without Xenos but if we leave them alone for even a minute here with the aliens it'll be a blood bath.

I hate to say it but depending on which ordo the Inquisition member belongs to, voting for them might have the same effect as if we chose the deathwatch space marines.

It is the same with...pretty much any space marine unit or the custodes. Space marines are generally so lost in the sauce of Imperium propaganda that they'll kill Xenos on sight, anyone suggesting they don't kill or work with Xenos will generally also be declared a heretic and killed as well.

Honestly I'd be less concerned about the ordo and more concerned with their disposition between radical and puritan. Any Inquisitor will do any kind of inquisitorial work if it's needed, they all know how to handle heretics, demons and xenos but some inquisitors of more free thinking disposition could be convinced of our plan, versus more conservative ones pulling a Deathwatch.

Thunder Warriors actually sounds great insofar as they are the dudes who knew Emperor before he really was Emperor. For a person such as Kurze, for whom so much of their own personal drama is tied to the Emperor and the image of the emperor, that is prolly an invaluable knowledge.

Even if they are a 'radical' it depends on what they're radical about. A radical Inquisitor could believe that humanity should study and incorporate alien technology but also still believe that all xenos are innately a threat to humanity and should be exterminated without exception.

[X] Plan: Past and Future
-[X] Three Squads of Night Lords
-[X] Four Squads of Nostraman Damnatii and Two Leman Russ Vanquishers
-[X] Two Squads of Aeldari on Jetbikes
-[X] Eight Squads of Light Infantry and Scouts
-[X] Captain Jexad Fel
-[X] An Aeldari Warlock
-[X] A Woman wearing Malcador's Sigil
-[X] You are clone of Curze containing at least part of his soul and all of his mind
-[X] Tell them a version of the truth. Introduce yourself as a general that fought in the Great Crusade

Think this would be an interesting mixture with room for plenty of interesting plot hooks, whilst not tying us too hard in one direction or another.

Look as much as we want to, we are not going to be able to hide our Primarch nature. With these options we can be proven to be completely free of corruption and since no one knows what the lost primarchs look like we can easily claim to be one of them.

Plus it would give us a shoe in on being a regent of the imperium. Which means we basically own it!

@Teen Spirit Is my write in fine? Also what were the other options if we chose a different primarch?

Edit: Fixed my plan

This plan is mainly predicated on the fact that I find loyalism and chaos a bit boring and overdone and want to go for an iconoclast broad renegade faction built around a coalition of whoever I think sounds cool.

The Dusk Raiders are way cooler than the Death Guard and deserve better, as do the less edgy Nostramans. Involving the Tau in all this bullshit they don't remotely have a clue about is funny and also allows for the possibility of us discovering wholesome gay space communism. Plus I always love more Votann.

The Inquisition just create problems, and honestly not always super interesting ones.

Just want to clarify, is this a pick of who to focus that is present, or who is present at all?
Because it feels everyone is picking as if it's the first and crafting convenience.

I think this is like picking the most noteworthy/intact units, with everyone else being a much more disorganised rabble of generally lower quality troops.

Picking up some of our sons is a pretty good start, and the eldar + warlock looks like a good mix, plus the Tanith is a nice reference. The only thing I'm really wary about is the inquisitor, that one might be a real thorn.
