Effect: It can patch any hole of about palm size or smaller. Unfortunately, since they're designed to be 'slap and forget' patches, they can't really patch bigger holes effectively. Fortunately, you can apply them as a free action.

Computer Tool Kit
Effect: The computer tool kit is the collection of various lengths of wire, soldering gun, screwdriver (magnetized) and other nibbly little bits you need to do repair work on a computer, physically speaking. This won't do anything to debug it, unless you're being really literal about debugging here.

Cuffband
Effect: A plastic set of restraints. Good for dissidents, bounties and, until the Supreme Court's decision re Staton V Solarium Primary School, unruly children.

Oh right, Karlach.

Try to see if the elf can give you a private tour of the environment, if it's so dangerous.

[X] Look around for that weird elf that bumped into you. Something about her seemed weird.
-[X] Also, check your pockets. Always find the shiftiest people in high transit areas.

This Remains Weird (3.9)
Another question got asked - but you were frowning slightly. You had just had a thought: Bumping into someone and acting weird, that was a way to steal someone's Q-card and wallet. Your palm slapped around your hip and you found that you still had your wallet. Thank the Gods. You grinned, then lifted your gaze and swept the audience.

"Why do you even have a necrotic blight then?" One of the questions called out.

"Well, sad to say, it is a vital part of an ecosystem if you have it properly contained - there's important necrotic/biotic interchanges at the medi-"

A husky, contralto voice hissed loudly from behind the crate. "Use thy simple speech, wife!"

"The blight helps the normal forest grow! It's complicated!" Isobel called out.

There she was. You had spotted the brunette elf, who glanced back at you and gave you...a little salacious wink and a jerk of her head. She wanted you to- oh, she was slipping off and away. You started following her almost before you had realized you were, blushing slightly. She was slipping to the edge of the crowd, then stepped over to some crates. You walked over, then grinned.

"Uh, so-" you said.

You stepped in and she had a gun aimed right at your face.

You tensed, but the thing about an Arachne 9mm was that at this range, with a runed silencer on it, it would sound like a soft cough and the only time someone noticed you were a smear of brains against the walls would be when the techs came to clean this part of the train station. So you quite wisely raised your hands up, remaining very still. The elf regarded you with a frown.

"Your ship," she said, softly. "Where'd you get it?"

Her eyes were piercing. Attentive. All the flirty play she had used to lure you was completely gone. Which. No shit.

Lae'zel was not going to let you live this down.

"Whose asking?" you shot back.

"You can call me..." she said, smirking slightly, cocking her head, looking as if she was running through possibilities in her head. "Red!" She smiled, brightly.

"But your hair's brown." It popped out of your mouth before you could grab it and shove it back down your mouth.

Red grinned. "Is it?" she asked.

You blinked. The 9mm pistol aimed right at your face was quite distracting - but you managed to jerk your eyes from it to her head. She was still a brunette, but...she had reddish brown highlights you hadn't noticed before. Right?

...wrong. She had had dark brown hair.

You frowned, slowly. "Okay, Red," you said, hesitantly. "I'm Karlach."

"Ahhh, now we're getting somewhere..." She lowered the pistol, leaning back against the crate. It was still aimed at you, mind. It was just her arm was not propped and she had the muzzle aimed right at your belly. "Don't think this is less of a threat - at this range, heh, uh...this little friendo of mine will go very fast and bounce all around..." Her barrel depressed slightly. "Mmm, right around in the femoral arterty. Maybe an ecotech will getcha before you bleed out. Maybe not! Whoooo knows!" She giggled, quietly.

Okay.

This lady had a manic, feral energy that went past playful fun and straight into oh you've fed corpses into recyclers haven't you? shit.

"Now, sparky," she said, grinning. "How did you get the ship? Just tell me that, and we can have a nice, non-stabby, shooty kinda day."

You frowned. The questions were still going. You had no idea whether it was good to play for time or...try and end this fast. Or, shit, maybe you should just tell the truth. But was this lady working for Auntie Ethel? She had said she had friends all over the solar system No. Shit. That didn't track - if she worked for Auntie Ethel, she'd know you. It was the ship. You smirked, slightly.

"You're a Ketheric," you said, firmly.

Red hissed through her teeth. "Not even close, sparky. Now, uh, tick tock tick tock..." She pulled back the hammer on the 9mm.
