    Gondor, the greatest of the kingdoms of men since fallen Numenor. Gondor, full of cities of splendor. Gondor, sister to lost Eariador. Gondor, decaying. Gondor, falling day by day. It is TA 2984, Denathor II has taken up the mantle of Steward and has begun staffing his advisors. You are one such advisor. It is to you the economy will be given. It will be up to you to deploy the corvee laborers, to collect taxes, to rebuild infrastructure, and to wrangle the nobility into supporting whatever measures or projects you undertake. But who are you?

    []Critha: Born in Lebennin, Cirtha was heir to a noble family that ruled over fertile plains. Cirtha is most experienced with agriculture and the needs of peasants. They lack the blood of Numenor, and as such may be looked down upon by other nobles.

    []Gaud: Gaud is a dwarf-friend, having raised his levies to fight an orc attack on a nearby settlement of dwarves. He has a keen sight into machines and crafting, but is weak with his ability to sway others.

    []Luitha: Luitha is a student of Gandalf, and as such much learned in the alchemistic arts. However, this also makes her less trusted by Denathor, for he is suspicious of Gandalf.

    []Maetha: Maetha is a warrior through and through, having served in the Osgiliath garrison and fought off many orcs. The fighting in that ruined city lingers on their mind, however, and they are given to melancholy.

    []Ciryande: Born in Pelargir, she is a born sailor, knowledgeable about the wind and waves and the importance of sea power. However, she bears ill will from the nobles of Pelargir, for she spurns marriage to their noble sons.

    Gondor must build on the success her captains achieved under Steward Ecthelion, and raise the wooden walls around the southern fiefs so that their men may succor Osgiliath or, Menel forbid, Minas Tirith in their hours of need.

    Tough choice. On the one hand, something like 80-90% of the population are probably involved in agriculture (ACOUP). So anything Critha can do to increase their productivity or improve their lives would be tremendous. On the other hand any economic activity that can occur by water does, due to greatly reduced transport costs so Ciryande's expertise would also be very valuable.

    What the heck, I will vote for both.
