Destroyer. The 'mad scientist' of the Allen M Sumners, famed for tinkering with her own Wisdom Cube to… interesting effects. She was known as mainly a recluse otherwise, rarely interacting with anyone. The ship itself was one of the most modern destroyers the navy had, with better guns, tech, and maneuverability. Cassin will be thrilled.

Mad scientist? Gib.

I like the idea of having a strong destroyer core. I remember in the OG version of this quest we were kinda capital heavy and they kinda ate WAY to much damage in every battle.

Can we make a request to the Ordnance Board about heli drop depth charges with depth setting and others being setted on the heli, heli drop flare and search light for sub hunting and SAR mission?

[X] [USS Saratoga]

I'm for Sara just in case some destroyers want to risk a torpedo run against our fleet and we lack any big guns.

I would have picked New York but we might need to run away like cowards heroically fall back to safer waters at some point so I would prefer to keep the average speed of our fleet speedy if we can.

Too heavy to really use for the helicopters enmasse. But it's new tech.

The heli only need to like drop 5 depth charges or carry a hydrophone to listening for sub hunting and flare for night mission. Just hope the Ordnance Board didn't fuck up the Mark 14 torpedo for our sub.

They did.

It was fixed a half decade ago. Regardless, helicopter is brand new, give em time.

And the super-fletcher pulls away of the bunny cruiser it seems.

People enjoy the chapter?

The ship choices are randomly generated, but I honestly expected people to flock to the Battleship~

We just lost a cruiser to a sub and on way through Atlantic so sub hunting is must have. So Fletcher for sub and escorting or Boise for being a cruiser. A battleship would slow us down and I dont think our flagship want to miss out of action.

You'll be getting big guns in any case because you'll be supporting operations in North Africa, but yeah, lot of German and Italian subs about.
