Gods of Creation (Riot God Quest)

it doesn't really seem to align with most people's goals right now which seems to be establishing laws of physics but consider that there's nothing stopping you from pursuing this action at a later stage either, it's entirely possible that there's probably going to be a turn where the theme is life or demigods or whatever which would make doing so even easier.
I think it should be looked at as less of a failure and more of a delay.
I know, it just feels extra disheartening since there is literally nothing stopping everyone from just supporting eachothers votes and making all our actions win

I am not sure what does it actually mean. Your description is a bit too cryptic for me.😅
Besides it being a reference to kill six billion demons on my part it's basically an establishment of difference between things, the structured universe from the unstructured chaos, like how you might put movies into different genres life is a constant act of cutting, the idea being to make this a tangible law of the universe, that you can change and be changed by events.
I write poetry not regular novels so my usual style of writing is rather unwieldy in regular conversation.

[X] The Law of collective Aegis

The Law of Collective Aegis is an ontological principle woven into the fabric of the universe, asserting that the act of shielding and supporting one another is a fundamental force that upholds the stability and progress of civilizations. This law is axiomatic in nature, meaning it is self-evident and requires no external proof; it is an inherent truth of existence.

At its core, the law dictates that unity and cooperation among beings or entities create a protective barrier that amplifies their collective strength. When individuals or groups work together to protect and uplift one another, they generate a positive feedback loop—each act of shielding and support reinforces the whole, leading to greater resilience, prosperity, and harmony within the civilization. This synergy not only safeguards against external threats but also catalyzes advancements in culture, technology, and consciousness.

In essence, the Law of Collective Aegis embodies the idea that the greatest strength lies not in individual power but in the unity of many, bound together by mutual protection and shared purpose.

Isn't the Canvas you're plotting an example of where the sword could cut?
Well, probably yeah. But I still feel like I am missing something crucial or misunderstand the message. For the Canvas I put some example (time travel grave paradox) to give some perspective of what it could do and what it usualy deals with.

Hmm, can you give me an example of such law in action? Because isn't change already fundamental part of existence? 🤔

Edit: Also, KSBD is cool for sure.
This KSBD talk is inspiring me to start growing some strange alien species on a planet and give them lore with evocative titles in a later turn

If the theme supports it next turn, I'll start working on that planet, does anyone else wanna join a pact where we slowly grow weird life on said planet?

The ingredients are quite simple, I first have to spend a action to create a planet with some primordial ooze on it (All pact members will have a say in how I design said planet)
Then we just start nudging the evolution of these species with little blessing and ideas until we all get what we want

The main reason I'm not supporting him right now is because, like was said, this is a turn I want more focused on establishing the baseline of things, getting the framework up so to speak. I'll gladly join in on the support once that's done, however.

There is nothing that Augustus can do that would ruin your plans for setting up a baseline, no cost but miniscule effort and time
He is just a little guy with a thing for magic tricks

I meant like, the Canvas could literally be cut through by the Sword. It's a promise of nothing will ever be the same and by that logic, that nothing can be eternal, maybe or maybe not.

I would support a sole planet.

I think we have different perspectives on this because my understanding is that we haven't yet established change as a law of reality which is kind of the point of what we're doing now, the primordial chaos is ironically a homogeneous state of infinite potential, it makes from that which isn't, that might be, into that which is. From a more individual perspective destiny can be made by one's own power from destinies that might be.
Using a reference from K6BD, those that think that something is impossible or that fate is immutable shall be caught without a head by that sword of maybe.
An empowerment of those that reject stagnation, hope is the tired waiting for the day the slaves chains are cut where oppression is cut from the oppressed.

As a side note, I'm also going to add consistency, hope and colour to my supported actions, took a while to respond due to length and dinner.

Personally, I'm probably going to be limiting myself to only supporting five acts unless I really can't decide between acts. I don't really have a strong reason why besides as self-justification for only supporting acts I really like.

[X] Light Is: Light is. The newborn god can see this is thus far the most fundamental rule of reality. The endless empty expanse of nothing is now filled with an alien brightness. As the other gods move to define the canvas on which future creations will exist this one reaches to give definition to the already extant. Thus, light was molded, given characteristics beyond mere presence:
  1. Light is motion. With every movement a portait is painted on the world itself, an echo left behind of what came before. The greater the effort and impact of the motion, the longer the portait will remain before inevitably fading away.
  2. Light is emotion. With great and deep feeling comes an art of their own. Great portaits are made from feelings of joy, and images of great remorse are forged from sorrow.
  3. Light is all. Everything has light to it, even darkness has a light of its own. A deep roiling blackness, now defined not just by what it isn't, but what it is.
Note: I suspect might be too much for a single act, which if so is cool. The basic idea is that The world has kind of been visually redesigned into like a water color painting. The whole thing seemed appropriate since light has kind of accidentally become such a major thing so far, I thought leaning into that in the basic visual structure of the world could be interesting.

Supported:
[X] Law of Consistency
[X] Mold the Chaos Mist into a Horizon, solidify the concept of the World's Edge.
[X] the Formation of the Soul
[X] The First Guardian
[X] Hope
[X] Prismatic Spark of Mana
[X] Augustus The Amazing
[X] The Law of collective Aegis
[X] The sanctioned action of cutting

[X] look towards the future, create the spark of Determination, glue of the soul.

Determination is what keeps the soul here after death, its what gives beings without magic the strength to face those with it, and in rare cases, empowers people to be able to things usually attributed to magic but in very limited ways, (think undertale/deltarune, the souls grant different effects in certain circumstances)

Yeah, I probably going to limit myself to six. Well, if there is nothing I really want to get through.

Does it mean something specific or more free for interpretation?

Could you copy and paste that under the action itself?
It would probably make things easier for the qm

So at this point we have a pretty interesting theme for this world budding. A lot of light and colour related things.

created Octarine, the colour of magic
Aw, I wanted to create extra chromatics for my next trick! Well, I guess the beginning has been made without me? :V

I decided to take on the specific role for this quest. We represent gods, as players. And some RP is never bad for quests like these. It gives some unique insparations in my expirience.

I took on the role of goddess Eirsy of arts, crafts and laws. Her character for now is best described with a motto: "I can do no wrong, for I do not know what it is." - like a cold blooded angel, who likes to create and preserve existence, but don't think a lot about morals. Well, if it is not through the prism of art. But like an author of any book, Eirsy see nothing wrong with putting her 'characters' through challanges and horrors for the sake of the story, for the sake of art. People are not very real for her, she is distant goddess. I am even tried to come up with small poem about her, because I felt sudden motivation and insparation to do so:

The world was young - gold filling the void.
Of sunlight between chaos and void.
No word was told, no one could see
When from the great darkness stepped the Eirsy.

The goddess of arts, or craftings and laws,
Gained awareness to live and behold.
She saw the great sun, the discord…
And then, she decided to run,

With great canvas in hand.
To put it before each step underneath
The empty of world was filled with a grid.
Eirsy took steps and made the first law
To be in the base of whatever to come.
So how was born the Canvas for gods to be painted,
To be torn, but forever stay whole.

Anyone else want to take on mantle of some specific divine entity? I would like to play along - its fun.

Like others have said, I'm also trying to keep myself somewhat restricted. Sure, we could force through everything, but that'd be kinda boring in a way.

Also gonna join in on the vague RP.

It was of the Inbetween, the Transient in Perpetuity, a Divinity born of contradiction and borders.

It seeks, now, to create something akin to it in nature. A perpetual Far, a Near Horizon enveloping this seed of existance, was to be it's first act. It's second would come in time as well.

The Transient in Perpetuity is a Divinity of Contradiction, an entity which came to be at the very edge of that Primeval Night. It is the moments between seconds that stretch on like hours and hours that pass as if mere seconds, it is the frost so cold it burns, it is everything and nothing and finds it's truth as the place Inbetween.

Oh, rp possiblilities

My character is Diersom, God of Determination, glass and souls: i"give up nothing until the end, then give up failure" is his motto, he focuses on his Glass blowing, creating souls from the sand of his realm, choosing different colors to fill the world with diverse personalities and possibilities, his kiln is heated by the very spark he first made, that spark of determination that made him able to make souls.

this will help with focusing ideas

The light flooded existance, and called out to the fabric of reality. It called out to her. Reaching towards the light, she did as she felt only natural. SHe felt the light, interacted with it. Her consciousness rippled through the world as her new creation did. Invisibly, she watched as others proceeded to come into being, and do as they will.

Finally, as she beheld the actions of her siblings, she defined her own existence. She is Elsa, The White. Goddess of Nature, color, and history. Her presence feels both pervasive, and ethereal. She likes it this way. It allows her to keep an eye on all, but not be intrusive. She genuinely cares for the well being of all, but knows that everything shall be fleeting.
