In all seriousness though, being a Mafia Hitman isn't the worst of career choices. It does fit our skillset rather well. We're physically intimidating, and although we might not stand up to a real wizard, we can shoot lightning from our fingertips and extract knowledge by eating people's brains.

And if we're going for revenge, there are worse places to start than by gaining more criminal connections.

The real thing I'm worried about is if self-study is even viable to us. We know some tricks, but... well, flunkout. We could prop ourselves up with other things, but I doubt we're going to be pioneers in the combination of martial skill with magic. How can we improve if we aren't smart enough to succeed?
