Roll learning 21+10=31
As you usher your troops into the light freighter, a nagging doubt creeps in. The decision feels impulsive. You've only been part of the rebellion for a few months, and leading it for even less.
Yet, you're convinced that success lies in demonstrating an alternative path to the people, one that doesn't culminate in bloodshed on the streets.
Your only hope is that the hours spent poring over the flight manual suffice for the impending assault. The enemy's strength remains unknown, but you trust in your and your men's capabilities to overcome it.
Approaching the cockpit, you meticulously perform the preflight checks as outlined in the manual while Lee fires up the troops.
"Alright, boys, the boss says we're hitting the enemy's factory to smash their gear. If this place starts churning out tanks like the Fire Nation of old, it'll be like the unstoppable armored tales our parents warned us about. Halting production here could give us the breathing room we need in this region, and perhaps even a shot at the capital in a few months."
As you ease back on the throttle to make the ship hover, the men's awe is audible; it seems they've never experienced such smooth flight before.
You can't help but smile at their enjoyment as you head southward toward the region's main factory. If the rumors hold true, tanks will soon be rolling off the assembly lines.
Flying low to evade radar detection, you notice weapon emplacements starting to target you. Perhaps the holograms lied, or maybe it's because your ship, while small for its class, is still quite large. With only a month's training, your confidence wavers. Nevertheless, you accelerate, maximize the front shields, and cling to hope.
But hope seems elusive as you haven't even reached the factory's outer walls before you're under heavy fire. Either the enemy are exceptional marksmen, or you're an inadequate pilot. There's no time to ponder, though, as you're hurtling toward the wall in a crash.

It takes a few seconds to realize you're not dead, just injured, and another few to understand that chaos has erupted outside on the factory grounds. Through the transparisteel viewport, you see fire raining from the sky.
Groans from behind alert you to your men; they're dazed but mostly able to fight. It seems there have been some deaths, a few from whiplash, and one of the benders was crushed by debris. The rest weren't in the improvised harnesses—seven soldiers and three benders lost.
You gaze at the broken body and acknowledge the harsh reality of war—people are going to die. You freeze, and it takes Lee's leadership to mobilize the troops.
"Alright, boys, grab your gear, and let's go!" he bellows, seizing a hammer and inadvertently crushing a fallen comrade.
Roll for diplomacy: 88-2=86.
It takes a moment before they all but tumble out of their harnesses and seize their equipment, rushing towards the closed hatch. Lee, already at the hatch, waits for it to open before they all charge out with him.
You sit there, stunned, until the screams jolt you into action. You grab the blaster pistol from under the pilot's seat and join the battle.
Trait gained: Brave.

Josephine of the 104th SEAF Commandos.
POV: Sergeant Josephine of the 104th SEAF Commandos.
Josephine had faced many oddities in her resolute battle for managed democracy—from cyborg threats to bugs, and even occasional skirmishes with the Illuminate. However, the scene before her was peculiar—the four figures were unmistakably cyborgs; there was no possibility they were humans unaffiliated with the UEF.
"Halt in the name of Commander Corvus! You are in a warzone; identify yourselves before we resort to violence," she demanded, as her troops tactically retreated from the likely cyborgs. Missile troopers readied their launchers, aiming at the cyborgs, while others pointed their Ninja SMGs at the foes.
The moment her 20 men were set, they struck swiftly. Bullets found their marks with alarming speed amidst a firefight. Her men were systematically falling; missiles launched and missed, wreaking havoc on the surroundings, yet it seemed not a single cyborg had fallen!
Brrt brrt brrt—she unleashed burst after burst, only to see the glow of what appeared to be Illuminate shields. "Ramirez, find the commander and inform him that the 'borgs' and the Illuminate are collaborating—we need to warn Super Earth about this development." As he nodded and ran, his leg was shot out from under him.
Scanning the source of the sniper fire, she spotted what seemed to be a marksman offering a mocking salute. What were these freaks? As she yelled, unleashing her weapon on full auto, she didn't see the one who slit her throat. In her final moments, she realized her squad was decimated. She saw several strategem beacons scattered, ignored by what was clearly a super cruiser in orbit—a bombardment she recognized all too well.
As she stared blankly, her assailants had already departed, leaving behind the carnage in their quest for their actual target: Commander Jack Corvus, the insurgent leader and a threat to the UNSC.
Regiment 20 helldiver commandos lost
POV: Kidwin
Chris was puzzled as he soared on his hoverboard. The last memory he had was of Scion and the events leading up to the ultimate battle for not just Bet, but for all the earths in the multiverse. He touched his chest where Scion had struck him; by all accounts, he should be dead.
As Chris grappled with the fact that he should be deceased, the sound of gunfire snapped him to attention. He set off towards the source, expecting to find gangs in a violent dispute. Instead, he encountered a bizarre scene: gangsters with severe burns, radiating levels of radiation that, according to his visor's scanner, should have killed them. This was possibly the handiwork of a biotinker.
Even more peculiar was the sight of the opposing group wielding energy weapons, firing what appeared to be condensed plasma at the burned men. Before Chris could intervene, the group with the energy weapons executed a tactical retreat, seemingly outnumbered three to one.
The burned men, however, did not pursue, so Chris approached them with caution.
"Hey, who the heck are you guys?" Chris inquired, ensuring none of the individuals, whom he presumed included women, were aiming their weapons at him. As they noticed him, confusion and wariness crossed their faces. One shouted "Brotherhood," but without context, Chris couldn't decipher its meaning.
One man separated from the group and responded, "Private Edwards, NCR Army, garrison of Camp Searchlight. Who the hell are you?"
Chris, now visibly confused, replied, "NCR? Camp Searchlight? I'm Kidwin, a Wards hero from the Brockton Bay branch east northeast. What the heck is the NCR?" chris called back
Private Edwards, looking around for any higher-ranking officers, glumly realized he was their spokesman until someone said otherwise.
"Um, we're the biggest nation west of the Colorado River. What the hell is the Protectorate? Are you guys an offshoot of the Brotherhood of Steel?"
Before you could dismiss his statement as nonsense, a shrieking noise above caught your attention. With horror, you watched something fall from the sky, colliding with the ground and exploding.
Looking back at the sky and enhancing the zoom to its maximum, you saw what appeared to be a starship firing downwards. As you watched, you noticed another oddity: the moon, or rather moons. You weren't in Kansas anymore, Chris or rather you weren't on earth bet anymore.
"Okay, so some jerk is bombarding a position south of us," you call out. As Chris looks down, he notices that the entire group has scattered and is just regrouping.
Here's the situation: I'm not on my home Earth anymore, and based on your statement, neither are you. I think I need help to get home; I've got a fight to return to, and you guys need to get home too. So let's help each other out and make it out of this alive, okay?
Private Edwards, once again waiting for someone—anyone—to contradict him, nodded in agreement. "You give the callouts from above, and we'll keep an eye out below."
This could be the start of a great partnership.

how do you plan on escaping highest vote will be prioritized if that fails you fall back to your next option
[x] there are several hover vehicles none the right size for your entire regiment.
[x] there's a transport to ferry the tanks off planet once it's too capacity
[x] play badgermole and go underground if here are any benders are still alive
