Protect The Tribe: No SV, you're a godly champion born to a small village

In The End I Bloom 1
A couple weeks have passed since that intro segment I showed you during the last part, and the Monastary was doing well, mother cursing any bandit groups that got too close, and father delivering messages for the Tribe (Mainly love letters from some of your admirers)
You, Jym Jr, and Plethic were in the playboy (playgirl?) warrior's room trying to set the her up with one of your more stalker-like admirers, by dressing her in a way similar to you as she suggested

"Pleth, are you really sure you wanna try this? I don't think this will go well considering she's a stalker" said Jym Jr as you were trying to get Plethic to put on the cloak properly since she isn't really used to the fancier variety of clothing
"Don't worry dudette, the Elders say don't stick your dick in crazy, but they never said don't eat-out crazy" Plethic looked very proud of her answer, like she spouted true wisdom
Jym Jr sighed, but then looked out the window in curiosity when the winds were picking up a lot faster out of nowhere

"Your logic is terrible, but you can kill 30 men alone and you're taking her off my hands, so good for you I guess" You say while trying to adjust the cloak in a careful way to make sure it doesn't rip open due to Plethic's muscles

Then the Monastary shook, thunder boomed, winds howled, and the 3 of you fell over, the sound of panic ran through the Monastary as the door to Plethic's room burst open to reveal ol Wild-Eyes "STOP ROLEPLAYING AS A TUMBLEWEED AND GET TO THE MAIN HALL!" He then cartwheeled in the opposite direction of the main hall cause he obeys no authority

Soon you and your friends made it to the grand room, watching as everyone huddled together in groups and the Elders tried to keep count of who was there or not, the Elder's apprentices weren't seen for some reason and an Elder ran over the moment they saw you and Plethic
"Okay, so bad news, we found out that the storm has a cause"
The warrior woman asked "Really? What is it?"
"Apocalypse"

Your eyes widened "The what!?"

"Not the, just, a Apocalypse, yknow like a different culture's idea for the end of days, It's a really potent one too, not enough to actually threaten everything, but definitely this general region, have a look out the window and use Mythos vision"

You, Jym Jr, and Plethic went to a hallway since the main hall lacked windows, and using Mythos vision, saw that the gusts of wind, the pebbles flying through the air, and some of the more loose bricks of the Monastary had immaterial masks formed from some ethereal material
Jym Jr said "Okay, I probably should've used Mythos vision earlier, from the looks if it, I guess these are Frescian spirits, they tend to mainly anthropomorphize the natural world by simply depicting spirit masks on it, and those intertwined umbilical-cord circle symbols on their foreheads seem to represent rebirt-"
You interrupt "Cuz, I get you love explaining what you know, I love to hear it, but there is a crisis at the moment"

She stuttered in embarrassment and nodded, Plethic asked the Elder "So do we have to move?"

The Elders gathered together and said unison "We may not have to! For you see, the champion is amongst us, you, young Hornaz, could lead an expedition to the source of these ill omens, which we sense at the Frescian Tribe's village, and try to stop this before the region suffers a terrible fate"
You reacted with "Wow.... that is a lot of responsibility to drop on one person out of the blue"

"Oh stop whining, I'll be there to keep ya from getting Apocalypsed" Plethic playfully nudged your shoulder
"And I'll be there to tell Plethic to stop making up words" Jym Jr chimed in

"We're not THAT confident you'll complete the prophesy that we won't send help, future visions are more good calculations then fact" the Elders then faced Wild-Eyes, who swung from a rusty chandelier without a care, he stared back and the Elders nodded with a stone cold look
The nameless Heretic Seer released a grand yodel and the Elder's Apprentices, armed with sickles and ready with packed supplies came forth from their barracks and kneeled before you
They aren't impressive like those patrolling soldiers from the kingdoms, but they're very professional by Tribe standards, and besides, those city soldiers got fancier gear so they got an unfair advantage in style

You mouthed a wow "So, thats, why I sometimes hear yodeling in the halls at night, thought we just had a annoying musical ghost"
"Me too" Plethic agreed "In actuality I'm sorta disappointed

"Enough talk about yodel ghosts! You should be getting ready, who knows how much time we have left!" The Elders tried to rush you back to your rooms to get prepared, handing over some bags "We'll make sure the Tribe is safe while your gone, and prepare to evacuate just in case"

"Already on it! Oh boy I can't wait to record all this for the history tablets!" Jym Jr looked ecstatic for someone about to go on a treacherous quest to stop a Apocalypse
"BETTER NOT FOCUS TOO MUCH ON MY CHILD IN THOSE TABLETS, I'LL CURSE YA IF YOU DO! I ain't letting their head get big"

And that obviously came from mother, now where wa-

"Please my child! Please make sure to pack your spare knives! And your 7 other sets of spares just in case someone pilfered those knives which I pilfered from a bandit that pilfered them from me a couple years back" Said your Father who appeared out of nowhere, hugging you tightly, while offering a long list of all the stuff he thinks will keep you safe outside the Monastary
Mother joined him in the hugging aswell, saying stuff like "Don't let the prophesy stuff go to your head, and make sure to be smart about this, you're only human, a human recognized by the universe as a champion, but still in my eyes a larger version of that spawnling I brought into the world" while sniffling

"Mom please stop calling me a spawnling, also can the both of you let go?" You say trying to shake your parents off so you could get ready
"NEVER!" Your parents teared up while hugging tighter, Plethic yanked them off of you and nudged the reluctant pair back towards helping the rest of the Tribe instead of hugging you, Marna to curse any of the more violent Frescian spirits, Hazrad to scout for any dangers in the storm since the rowdy spirits will be less likely to attack a stealthy guy like him

And so you got packed, grabbing a satchel with some supplies, hopping in with your friends onto a wagon pulled by a donkey alongside the Elder's Apprentices escorting you 3 while also riding donkeys
No one said Heretic Seers rode in style
The skies were cloudy, the winds and rolling pebbles were being blown all in the same direction, evidently with the trees, even some of the smaller saplings uprooted themselves to fly off towards whatever is causing this
The Elder's Apprentices knew the way, so not much navigation was needed, but the true difficulty came from the storm, the highlands themselves were violent, a couple Apprentice Elders even got shoved into deep dark earthen crevices by rushing Frescian wind sprites
Jym Jr's teeth were chattering as she wrapped herself in a warm cloak her father gifted her for good luck
And Plethic was making terrible donkey puns to lighten the mood while carefully looking around for enemies as she kept her hand on her blade

So what do you do with your spare time while on the trip towards the Frescian Tribe's village?
Choose 3 actions, plan format

- [] Try to inspire the Elder's Apprentices with a speech, to make sure they don't panic when facing whatever may come

- [] Keep on the lookout like Plethic and the Elder's Apprentices

- [] Try to beseech a god for a favour
-- [] What kinda god and what kinda favour?: Write-In

- [] Look at the spirit storm alongside Jym Jr using Mythos Vision to ascertain any info you can from the spirits

- [] Sharpen your sickle and knives

- [] Look into the Enlightened Madness, and beam it into the minds of some of the more dangerous looking Frescian spirits to incapacitate them

- [] Write-In

Alright, if no one's going to make a plan then I will.

During the march towards the source of this predicament, you noticed looks of low morale as some of the Elder's Apprentices and Jym Jr begin to look worried at what they may face, who could blame them? You're soon going to be facing a force potentially able to wipe out the highlands and make their interpretation of the spirits that comprise the world come to their beck and call, you'd be lying if you said you weren't scared, so you decided to do something about it

Hornaz rolled a 77 + 30 = 107

You don't just inspire them, you touch the heart of every single man, woman, and everything left right between above and beneath
The Apprentices thus begin to sing, in a united manner akin to their venerated Elders, and you see it with Mythos vision, the spark of a powerful belief going along with the song, you just created a new living belief for your Tribe with a single speech

The Hope Of Hornaz is a living song that now dances on the tongues of those willing to be hosts of it, capable of inspiring morale and motivating those it blesses, to you it was abstract golden lines that pulsed in rhythmic movements, born from the sheer hope that the Apprentices felt

"Holy shit Hornaz, that was goddamn beautiful!" Plethic was doing her best to not tear up
Jym Jr was already crying tears of joy

As the Apprentices sung their new jolly tune, you entered a meditative state as Jym Jr attempted to make calming wildlife noises to aide you, and into the Mythosphere your mind yelled out for aide from a God Of Endings to hopefully advise on this dire matter

Hornaz rolled a 51 + 30 = 81

You open your eyes, the wagon was now more akin to a sharp umbra chariot of make fit for a king, and portruding from the centre of it was a throne overgrown with flora facing you, Jym Jr and Plethic were surprised by this sudden event, raising a chronicler tablet with whacking intent and putting their hand on their blade handle respectively

Sitting on this throne was a husk with glowing green eyes, little dandelions and vines crawling from between their ribs, despite the storm the greenery on this ghoulish being was not shaken the slightest bit by the winds, only moved by hordes of maggots crawling across the deity, the Elder's Apprentice leading the caravan while riding alongside the wagon turned to face you
His face silently asked if the group should stop to deal with this, you shake your head no, making your trusted honorary family members lower their weapons with a raised hand
The god spoke, it's voice felt more real than the beating of every heart in earshot, and was tired, gentle, like an elderly fellow passing on happy

"GREETINGS RADIANT SEER, HAVE YOU CONSIDERED MY REQUEST?"
"Your grace, I humbly refuse to be your eternal consort, I don't believe I would be a worthy partner to one such as yourself"
"DARE NOT BELITTLE YOURSELF MY DEAR ANDROGYNY, YOUR SOUL IS AN IMMENSE AND WONDERFUL THING, IT WOULD BE A WASTE TO NOT LET IT GROW LIKE A MIGHTY OAK IN MY ROT-LADEN GARDENS, BUT I SHALL RESPECT YOUR CHOICE OH RADIANT SEER, WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF YOUR PRAYER?"

Plethic whispered "The skeleton god wants to fuck you?"
"It's attracted to me in an emotional manner, not a sexual one"
You whispered back
"Got it, the dead body has a raging emotional boner for you"

You sigh and continued to beseech this Divine "I desire from you knowledge on the nature of this incoming disaster, so Chok-Lahki, Prince Of Verdant Carrion, Father Of Maggots, and Host Of New Life's Feast, please let me partake of your wisdom in the matters of endings"

Chok-Lahki stroked their chin in thought, before saying "I WILL AIDE YOU, BUT I REQUEST A SMALL FAVOR IN RETURN, FOR I WISH TO NOT FEEL LIKE I AM BEING USED"
"Oh Prince of the Promi Pantheon, I would never"
"YOU ARE LUCKY I LOVE YOU, OR SUCH BLATANT LIES WOULD BE PUNISHED VIA A SINGLE YEAR REMOVED FROM YOUR LIFE SPAN FOR EACH SYLLABLE IN THAT SENTENCE"
Quickly your mouth shuts itself tight, and you wait for the god to continue

"THE FAVOR IS YOUR DECISION, FOR I DO NOT NEED MUCH AT THIS MOMENT, CHOOSE AND WHENEVER I DESIRE YOU MUST FOLLOW THROUGH"

Choose 1

[] Chok-Lahki may bring you to the Celestial Kingdom of the Promi Pantheon for a week, and you must assist them in godly matters and whisper to the Prince that you love him as he rests

[] Chok-Lahki will call upon you to give aide to any of his followers 1 time, help a group his pilgrims if they're lost, defend a saint of his, help construct a temple, just stuff to help his loyal cultists out, he cares for them dearly

[] Chok-Lahki can force you to sabotage the annual ritual of his sister, Princess Of Festive Nights, Lady Of The Star-Lit Festival, another of the gods after your heart, Jorus-Lahki, Chok fucking despises her

[] Use your charms to convince Chok-Lahki to simply give you the knowledge for free

[] Write-In

[X] Use your charms to convince Chok-Lahki to simply give you the knowledge for free

There is no way this could go wrong. Surely we are charming enough to charm him in spite of him just warning us to not even try.

[X] Chok-Lahki will call upon you to give aide to any of his followers 1 time, help a group his pilgrims if they're lost, defend a saint of his, help construct a temple, just stuff to help his loyal cultists out, he cares for them dearly

Man, this quest is getting no engagement. I would've thought there would be at least ten or more voters.

You can still ask questions about the setting, you just get answers from an average person's perspective
Who's the most popular god?
What's the most common way for the world to end in prophesy.
What tribe has the least understandable beliefs and what are they?
How tall is the average person?
What's the constant rate of acceleration of gravity?
Are there people who's natural talents are on par with MC's?
What is the overall perception of the heretic seers?
Which tribe has the most influence right now?
Which one has the most wealth?

Who's the most popular god?

Popularity Based Off Sheer Devotion: Lady Of True Grace Motrax, her cult in the Tyllasti Dynasties are freaks when it comes to her
Popularity Based Off Follower Count: Kindly Metell of Shaman-Valley is incorporated into numerous different mythologies, she was based off a kind wanderer that was around before the bronze age, she is usually a goddess of mystic arts, compassion, and wildflowers

What's the most common way for the world to end in prophesy.

A big creature coming down to eat everyone, the exact details vary wildly but this is the most common, not by a lot, this form of Apocalypse is just a percentile higher on the scale of usage

What tribe has the least understandable beliefs and what are they?

The Krobus have an overly complex personal cosmology that rivals the grand cultural archives of even the Kingdoms in sheer detail, and for some reason trumpets are an integral part of this cosmology, interacting with them is difficult since the fact nobody understands their belief system then nobody knows what will happen if you mess with them

How tall is the average person?
I don't know, 5 to 6 I guess? No one bothered to explain me height averages or units of measurement for height for some reason

Are there people who's natural talents are on par with MC's?
Yes but those are exceedingly rare
But slightly less rare are people whose sheer Skill is on par with you, some even more powerful

There used to be a 4th Kingdom on the level of the Colonytes, Horde, and the Dynasties, a single man murdered that kingdom while in a drunken rage

What is the overall perception of the heretic seers?
At best among most Tribes, begrudgingly work together with you when needed, ignore you when not, at best among the Kingdoms, they'll call you multiple slurs and spit in your face
Don't ask what it would be like at worst

Who's the least popular god?
What is the current level of technology?
What's stopping really good fortune tellers from just... stealing technology from the future to rapidly increase what is known?
Are there non-human sapient? Like elves and such?
Who are the Colonytes?
Who are the Horde?
Who are the Dynasties?
How much knowledge remains of the fourth kingdom?

Who's the least popular god?
Probably the ones that everyone forgot

What is the current level of technology?
Bronze age with bits and pieces of higher levels of technology here and there, the Colonytes have crossbows
The Tyllasti have siege weapons
And the Horde actually know what germs are

What's stopping really good fortune tellers from just... stealing technology from the future to rapidly increase what is known?
Some have, they work for the kingdoms, which is how the crossbows, siege weapons, and knowledge of germs came about for them easily
They don't do it too much because some of the shit they see is very advanced and so its hard to replicate since the sooth sayers missed a couple steps in the process
The future is a nebulous suggestion and sometimes they see stuff that cannot ever be replicated and or studied in false potential timelines
Taking ideas from the future tends to cause what fortune tellers call Foresight Storms, where their future vision goes into overdrive calculating the consequences of that action, basically if you use too much future knowledge you'll have to wait awhile for the Foresight Storm to end if you want something else, and it's difficult to tell what too much is, so they use it sparingly for emergencies
Also some forms of fortune telling aren't exactly super detailed and or controllable, like certain styles of psychedelic fueled vision quest that show you metaphors of only what you need

For example Heretic Seers don't exactly see the future, they're limited to seeing tons of narrative signs that hint to certain events, if something is completely random and unwelcome in a proper myth they probably won't see it coming, and even if so, not clearly

Are there non-human sapient? Like elves and such?

There are, but they're in the same situation as like gods and spirits, born from belief, the only "Real" creatures are homo-sapiens, and all the plants and animals
By the way, the belief-made creatures hate Heretic Seers too since the H.S. say they're sorta not real

Who are the Colonytes?

The Colonyte Imperium is one of the national juggernauts of Estokarei, with a bit of a warrior culture, they worship the mighty Sky Chiefs and paint their bodies with all sorts of colours from since they believe mankind were born from fallen pieces of the rainbow
Their armies are mainly armed with ranged weaponry, since their people have a personal code of honour that impersonal matters of duty and obligation are for ranged weaponry, the fun personal shit is for melee, it's why their champions wield blunt weapons, to make the fight last longer

They also hate bulls, their pantheon are based off the many leaders they had during their former Tribe stage, and their most beloved past leader was slain by stampeding bulls in the past, leather from cows and bulls is illegal in the Imperium

The Hughn-Nan Horde is one of the national juggernauts of Estokarei, they have a great understanding of carpentry and sea life, their cites may not be grand like those of the other Kingdoms, but they certainly know how to make sturdy towers and docks, alongside wearing warm furs and wide brimmed pointed straw hats
They mainly live in an area called the Quiet Reaches, vast expanses of flat grassland next to a very cloudy shoreline, in their past the Hughn-Nan sailed out and studied many of the sea life out in the ocean, theorizing that it may be the birthplace of life and sorta being horrified by the sheer amount of unknowns in the depths
They don't exactly worship their gods, more like avoid and placate, they believe the ocean is actually a giant tear drop from a grand entity by the name of Gho (Which is why tears have horrors crawl through them), filled with a fragment the being's immense power, thus spawning lesser but still very deadly entities, due to a incident in the past where a man by some fluke scared away some poisonous fish from their drowning friend as they swung around a stone on a string with a hole in it, they assumed the whistling calmed the beasts
Thus they can command and placate beasts with the various whistling stones their people make
Also the oversized smoking pipe thing is just to deal with existential dread, tobacco is a valuable commodity to them

Who are the Dynasties?

The Tyllasti Dynasties are one of the national juggernauts of Estokarei, a mainly matriarchal society that lives by the desert river of Khunum, wearing circlets shaped like flames and having tattoos of the Ladies Of True Grace on parts of their body they wish to blesh, over their heart for courage, arms for strength, back for endurance, legs for strength, face for charm
They believe the material universe is a test to qualify one for a higher realm called Yit, where the Ladies Of True Grace preside, those who have managed to pass whatever the test is, and that life is the early easy mode of the test, and death shoves you into a personalized hell dimension for the remainder of the test
Some Tyllasts can use the connection with their personal hell to their advantage, calling upon aspects of it in the physical universe to aide in whatever areas the daemonic torture devices and creatures can aide with if you know how to improvise well

The titular dynasties are various bloodlines said to have descended from a Lady Of True Grace before they passed the test, and they rule various aspects of the kingdom together, with one main bloodline, the daughters of Motrax, ruling above them all
The Dynasties are currently doing some games of intrigue and hunts for glory to gain political power since the current Empress of the Motrax bloodline is 7 years old, traumatized by the death of all her older family members at the hands of assassins from a Tribe that the Dynasties thought they wiped out

How much knowledge remains of the fourth kingdom?
Not much, no one dares spread the stories and language of that kingdom out of fear of attracting the attention of its destroyer
Even the individuals who survived by not being in the kingdom at the time of attack are frightened to rebuild their culture or even show their own heritage
It has been predicted by most sooth sayers their culture will be entirely forgotten by the time the next generation grows old
