The widespread support within Mexico itself for the strike combined with aid from the UF (and the United Front's resources, even with a lot tied up rebuilding, are far from insignificant) I think should let the Mexican Revolution be victorious without provoking direct European military intervention the way sending in the army would.

Approval voting. On the one hand, if my posts for most of today haven't made it clear, I think it is the business of the workers' state and its army to protect workers struggling at the sort of pitch we see in Mexico. But in case that doesn't win, I'd like to stipulate that it is, at least, the business of the cross-border UF affiliates to use the utmost of their resources to aid their members. (I further expect this principle to apply if and when, say, Argentina touches off.)

Securing the formation of a revolutionary Mexico would be a huge win - it would secure our entire southern border and provide us with a badly needed ally. The European empires will no doubt retaliate but they were going to do that eventually no matter what we do.

While sending the army would be best in a strategic sense. As far as precedent and other factors. Going with this because well...

Us sending in the new USA army or whatever they are gonna end up being called would very much open the doors for other nations to just drop off their own troops if not resolved quickly enough. And story wise, well, between the spanish-american war experience of the old govt hiding imperialism under the guise of aiding a rebellion, the Min's overall independence and a level of cynicism, combined with the fact that bringing in our army does give a chance to twist the narrative that could sour the overall opinion of the movement.
