Looking at the plan think it might be better to just have the 1 genetics dice on Menagerie so that the Edgar dice could be put on another project that is likely to be done quicker. Reason being that even with two dice the Menagerie project is not getting done. Meanwhile that Edgar dice may be able to finish either the Aquatic Atomiplants project.

So either we finish the atomiplant project and thus be able to move the dice from that t the menagerie project to get far more progress or if not still probably leave it close to finish and thus free up more dice for the Menagerie to get a lot more progress done next turn.

Maybe this has been asked before but could we get an infopost regarding what the diffrent stats mean? Like teenage wasteland, mans best friend and such? Some are fairly obvious but just to standardise and make sure we are all on the same page.

[ ] Plan: The Bad Seed
SECURITY:
[ ] 1 die + 1 Edgar: Floodwall Expansion (New Alexandria)
AGENT:
[ ] 1 Agent + 1 Skulder: The Wreck of the USS Hartley
FACILITIES:
[ ] 2 Genetics: AutoMenagerie Complex
[ ] 2 Chems: DoP Clinic (Gecko)
[ ] 1 Government + 1 Ecology: Weather Monitoring Station (New Orleans)
SCIENCE:
[ ] 1 die + 2 Edgar + 1 Ecology: Aquatic Atomiplants
[ ] 1 Edgar + 1 Genetics: Atomibugs
OUTREACH:
[ ] 1 die: Community Restoration Program (Gecko)
[ ] 2 Ashton: Community Broadcast Tower (Baton Rouge)
[ ] 1 Benoit: Fortified House of Worship (New Alexandria)
MISCHIEF:
[ ] 3 dice: Atomiplants Attack! (Baton Rouge)
[ ] 1 dice: Wright Technology Toy Factory

Main goal here is to set up stuff for the future, both short-term (getting the floodwall up, fixing Gecko again) and long-term (becoming a proper mad scientist, unleashing the Really Good Idea of giant rad-insects onto the wasteland).

There are actually a few infoposts I need to work on, including a compiled mechanics infopost now that we're out of the tutorial and updated front page. Probably have them done tonight.

Just found this quest and I have a few questions relating to this one and the old one

1.What's Wilbur Ashton's game? Like he's a fucking billionaire philanthropist in Fallout yet he doesn't act like one. He obviously knus FUSA insane and the most concerning thing is the stuff he wants have tangible benefits. Every other rich fuck we've encountered tends to use their charities as test subjects or tax fraud. So either this guy has ideas or he's playing a game we can't see yet...

1. In the old quest if we did all of Joe Ivanovsky's or General Frayn's requests could we have recruited them into NEXT like Warney? Like it would be hilarious for NEXT to have a bunch of die hard fanatics....And Joe who has gone full money gremlin and just somehow blackmailed FUSA into giving him 4% of the federal reserve. The General is also hammy enough to fit in with NEXT assuming we could've secured his loyalty

He's one of the choices for the director of DoP in Part 1, in there it explain the guy suffer from cancer and his son die in Alaska due to falty equipment and lost his fortune in lawsuit he lose against the company that make said equipment.

He retreat from the public and if chosen wanted to at least use the time he have left to bring some good to the world.

He's the perfect advisor for Edgar since both at least are in the same wavelenght about the state of the world in general.

I can answer this at least; Wilbur was one of the options for the protagonist of Eve part 1. He (like the other two options) was radicalized by experiencing FUSA's awfulness first-hand (faulty Power Armor got his son killed). This is his original prompt if you want a good idea of his character:
[ ] Wilbur Ashton: A former businessman. THE former businessman: in the fifties you had made a name for yourself, serving on not one, not two, but three different boards of directors. Back in the day, you had been a shark, always on the look for your next meal, always hungry, always eating, eating, eating.

The past decade had humbled you. It started with your son dying: brain tumor. Inoperable. All your money, all your power, and you couldn't save them. You had spent most of your fortune trying to do something, anything, but twelve months after his diagnosis, you had been forced to watch him be lowered into the ground, only in his thirties.

Most would have retired, but you couldn't, you wouldn't. You still tried to ply your business, but your heart wasn't in it, not any more, and your financial standing plummeted. Once, you had been a billionaire. Now, you were just well off. Then came the next disaster: your grandson, who had enlisted a year prior, had been shot, killed in action.

It turned out his armor was faulty. The experts you hired, at no small expense, came to the conclusion that had it not crumpled due to subpar materials, your grandson would still be alive. You had tried to sue, of course, only to get your case dismissed due to the company being deemed "of strategic importance".

You retired, of course. One loss was crushing. Another was destroying. But it wouldn't be the last time fate had decided to push you off a cliff. Two years ago, you had gotten a check up. Turns out cancer ran in the family.

Unlike your sons, it wasn't terminal. They succeeded in cutting out the two golfball shaped orbs, causing severe damage to your brain and spinal column, but you had survived, mind still sharp, but body ravaged by the surgery and the treatments that preceded it. The doctors told you you'd never walk again.

The day you received the news of your appointment, you had been drinking, the wine you were drinking to cope making you consider rolling your wheelchair off the grand canyon. It had been hesitant, your decision, but maybe, before the end, you could try to do some good. Settle some debts.

Gain +2 Business Die, [NATIONALIZATION] tagged projects receive +8 to their die.
Gain Mandate: Nationalize one Medical Corporation and Military Corporation within a year.
Complication: This director will receive, every year, a health roll. Should it fail, he dies. Odds may be improved through researching certain technologies.

This turn, gonna take a HARD swing at the Mandates and give some love to Gecko, If this pans out right then We can mess around a bit next turn before we have to finish the Mandates on its deadline.
Some may call [Mischief] Overkill but with how our dice have been so far... It's gonna be barely enough.

I think any viable plan this and the next turn need to start on the aquatic atomiplants and/or atomibugs to make the region at least somewhat livable. Because it is just going to get depressing and tiring to keep reading in the FOTW's about how everything is dead due to the region being unlivable if people wont' do the absolute basics to make the region even remotely livable.

@chellewalker @Waith Might I suggest removing one genetics dice from Menagerie to put into Atomibugs? Because from what I'm seeing even with an extra dice it's nowhere near close to being done. Meanwhile atomibugs actually has a somewhat decent chance to finish with one dice. It also seems like something we'd want to do anyway because insects are a big necessity for life:

Atomibugs [Genetics, Ecology]: Now, the atomipollinators idea, that was a good idea. If you took the time to apply the same modification to local species such as millipedes, moths, mosquitos, and local pollinators, you'd increase their odds of survival considerably and significantly reduce the impact of insect death in the region! 0/75, unlocks Atomibugs Template, increasing insect survival in the region and unlocking Advanced Entomology projects in all categories.

I can get with that.
