Nacli also means we won't already have a steel type in our team when we do finally decide to catch a Tinkatink :D
Garganacl already looks like a Paladin. Just. A WoW Paladin, with the shoulders.
Here's the kicker. Despite his relative inexperience, Nacli has a lot going for it

-Unique trait to treat wounds
-Ability in ghost-busting that may become required in the future
-Tank. Like, Garganacl is one of the best tanks to ever exist in Pokemon history and it gives a balance to our team's powerful but fragile attackers.
-Immediate advantage against the Bug Gym, and has useful match-ups against other leaders of Paldea (of the top of my mind, we have the ice gym in the future).
-And a strong personality.

You know what I think I've been convinced.

[X] Nacli
[X] Tinkatink

I'd like to take a moment to remind everyone that ground/steel is one of the best offensive typings in the game. Drilbur is eventually going to be a powerhouse.

Mechanically, we're deciding between a very good offensive Pokémon (complete with Electric moves to cover one of its rare gaps) and a very good bulky support Pokémon. Tinkatink, in third place, could really do either. I'm on the Nacli side because I like the role variety, but going all in on fast offensives between Roland and the mole girl (with eventual artillery support from Renne) isn't a bad idea either.

Roland is air and surface, Drilbur underground and surface, Renne as the artilery and maybe support?
I hate to phrase it this way because of The Associations, but a Roland-Drilbur-Renne team is a pretty valid blitzkrieg force. You've got your high-speed bombardment from the air, your armored breakthrough, and your artillery support. Since occupation isn't really a thing in a Pokémon battle, the motorized infantry component everyone forgets is less important, although for a sustained "campaign" (a Field Exercise or other lengthy plot trip) having a salty field hospital has its advantages.

It's still a one vote margin.

I've honestly never seen this sustained for so long before.

I'm assuming anywhere considering all other weather effects work the same way. You can still call a rain dance or hail storm in the dessert so I imagine it's something the Pokémon conjures with its own power regardless of the current terrain. Though I'm willing to bet it's probably easier to call a rain dance near a body of water etc.

Honestly at this point more than the actual result I just want another 5 people to hop in so we get 100 total voters lol

Active af for a quest that has 3 months
It only has 3 months?!
Damn, I suppose that speaks of its quality.
Or maybe its because its pokemon mixed with Trails of cold steel/Sky? Honestly seeing anythimg with Trails im this site is kinda unique on its own. Cant wait for more.

[X] Drilbur

I like Excadrill, they're cool, and this Drilbur is baby, so I think they'd be a good fit. Also, secretly holding out hope we'll maybe run into a wild Happiny/Chansey in the future and slot that in as our healer, despite the incredibly long odds on that happening.

Not me preparing copious amounts of Comfey propaganda in the case that Nacli loses and we need another healer

I really don't want to pass up an incredibly effective tank and healer for the chance that we might run into a different one later.

Like, we have one right here? It's a lot easier to find brusers than it is to find healers.

It can heal but a once a day heal doesn't sound like a real healer to me ngl. Do you really wanna gamble a party slot on a pokemon that might become a good healer at some point?

You mean definitely become a good healer at some point? It explicitly gets better at it as it grows stronger and evolves, that's not a gamble at all.

Only if they vote for the things I want them to.

If anyone is here to vote for anything else, thread's full. Sorry.

Oh yeah, a lot of respect for Comfey. Easily in the top two Fairy Type floating-ring-with-stuff-on-it Pokémon with abilities that give certain moves priority.

I kind of just want to unleash Booboo Keys upon a poor unsuspecting world. Nemona may be twisted enough to enjoy it, but I'm sure it'd infuriate everyone else.

Actually screw it I'm preparing that Comfey propagande anyways because you can never have too many healers
