To be perfectly honest, I just never cared for the Minecraft rejects Nacli line.

Inverse Karen's law. Just like everyone has those Pokémon they adore for no discernable reason, we'll all have some we are legitimately baffled by the popularity of.

I don't get it, and if I have to add Drilbur to my vote to try to stop it then that's what I'll do.
I've honestly never been a fan of their design either, but personally, it was the combination of its exorcism shtick paired with Mary's team of menaces and plans for sealing evil, and its preferred fighting style apparently involving literally rubbing salt in people's wounds (which is just hilariously sadistic) that won me over despite everything.

The personality and theming are both fun enough that I can ignore the design, especially since this is a primarily textual medium, so I don't need to look at it if I don't want to, anyway.

Alright, since it seems to solidly be a race between Nacli and Drilbur now I think I'll have to make the tough choice which of the two I prefer. :(

[X] Nacli

Sorry Drilbur, I really like the cut of your jib and I'll be happy to have you if you win, but I gotta go for the salty boi for the good eats.

I'm voting Drilbur because I think she'll be good for his ego. Someone to play with on an equal level who bursts his bubble when he mainlines the dragon energy a bit too much. She also gets along with Renne.

Not even mentioning the mechanical benefits she has, like typing, strength in the future, and strength even now. Ground is a great offensive type, and Steel is great for defence and dealing with the faeries Roland doesn't like.

I also think that on a mechanical level, Drilbur helps lean into an existing playstyle with Dreepy. It gives Mary a fighting style she can build herself around, a DoT kind of build with Meowstic as a beat stick to finish the job.

I don't mind if Nacli wins, though.

I'm just savouring this brief moment of time with Nacli visibly in the lead, before it shift around again :,)

I already voted for Tinkatink, but I want to say something controversial.

NACLI IS STUPID LOOKING. There I said it. It's a head with eyes and no limbs. It looks like a In-Training Digimon.

That's why I didn't vote for it. The evolved forms are alright I guess. And it would be an okay choice overall. But it's design sucks.

Our training with Dreepy has prepared us for this. Mariana should simply Yeet the rock at her opponents.

I like that our two pokemon serve different roles while also potentially working as speedy DPS. Drilbur would follow that trend. Maybe we'll even get a blitzkrieg trait out of it if we continue to focus up.

Roland is a generalist who can attack at any range, go ghost, and also apply damage over time.

Renne is pure range and can almost definitely activate bullet hell mode later on with an attack of every type, as well as being a psychic (the ultimate utility type) who can create shields.

Drilbur, maybe Riley, would be the one to charge in and deal direct damage and also offers a new front of combat, seeing as she could dig underground. We or our could escape through the ground, bury our opponents underground where she has homefield advantage, and just generally attack with the ground itself via ground, steel and a bit of rock.

All three are in addition to being fast as fuck, running circles around our opponents, whether through sheer speed, moving through places they can't follow, and teleportation.

Moving fast as fuck could be a good strategy for our future Genghis Khan here.

I really really hate Nacli's design. I just really hate it. And it's my least favorite healer by a long shot. So if it wins I'm likely to willingly neglect it in plans I vote for, which is an unfortunate bias but I have to admit it exists.

Nacli feels like Klink or Qwilfish to me. It's a perfectly okay Pokemon and fills a cool design niche, but I can't get very excited about the Pokemon itself. If it wins, it wins, but the Drilbur line is one of my favorite in all of Pokemon, so I'll definitely keep cheering that one on.

I'm still baffled that Nacli somehow entirely evaded the "too inexperienced" hammer that knocked Tinkatink out of the race. By literally this time tomorrow, unless our mandatory task gets cancelled, Tinkatink would be at least as strong as Nacli is now. A 200xp difference is basically nothing, and it isn't a lot of move xp either.
