[X] Plan: The All Loving
-[X] A Hunter From Pterugis-VI
-[X] Emanator of A Path (-2)
-[X] Revelation From Above (-1)
-[X] Known Reputation (0)
-[X] Ire of A Path (1)

Born without Hate or Apathy in her heart...what else can there be but love?

Let me guess, emanator of abundance/harmony, no hate?

Interesting choice, narratively and mechanically.

[X] Plan I've Read Ahead

welp, time to covert from undocumented lurker to an actual registered user here

wiggles in excitement I'm excited to see how you'll proceed with this quest as a fellow Star Rail fan!

[X] Plan: The All Loving

-Loves everything but Kafka who the trailblazer has a connection to.
-Dan Heng is naturally distrusting of the train's new nurse/doctor.
-Has high chance of getting along with March like a duck to water.
-Will likely go on the Jarilo VI team and maybe even the Luofu causing hijinks.
-Astral Express need a Harmony/Abundance character.

I like all the options but I like this one the most for above reasons. I may not be playing Star Rail right now due to storage but I will be watching this quest.

[X] Plan I've Read Ahead

I am a fan of Punklorde, Nihility and Foresight and this happens to include all three! What's not to love!

EDIT: As a bonus the combination specifically of Overprepared, Shadow of Nihility and Mercurial Fate give the vibes of trying to fight against bad futures before you succumb to the nihilism of it all sounds real fun.

Alright, the QM's going to sleep now at 10, but here's how it stands on the voting.

The Knight who Lost Her Princess has 6 votes so far, suggested by @Silversun17. A combat focused character, with the powers of an Emanator, leaning towards Preservation. A bit of a Kamen Rider, a bit of a Gundam sort. She's taken the perks Specialist for somehow even more combat prowess (how will I balance this) and the flaw Grief.
Said character she's grieving for is an OC that I and Silversun have hashed out some details on in DMs, but trust me, you'll still cry when she inevitably dies via backstory.
Even though this isn't Honkai Impact 3rd, it's still Honkai. Tragic doomed yuri reigns supreme.

I've Read Ahead, suggested by @SeQuester, is tying in with 6 votes as well. The powerful Perk Mercurial Fate (future sight) and the sometimes but not always helpful trait Overprepared have come up to make a gamer from Punklorde ready to exploit the system. (How will I balance this)
Of course, to give em a kick in the pants and stop seeing life as a game, they've given them the trait Nihility, which will help them choose to fight against fate… or else.
All this from a guy who hasn't played the game!

The All Loving may be behind at four votes, but you could change that! Rounding out our three origins and suggested by @Astra Myst, this Devil Hunter will be missing the emotion of "hate", which makes her essentially a Disney Princess that can also kill you in nine different ways. Fun!
An Emanator of either Abundance or Harmony, who received a Revelation From Above she'll be really good at using her Path's benefits, allowing for rampant therapy or befriending. (How will I balance this)
And despite having the Ire of a Path, I have a sneaking suspicion she'll just use the power of friendship to fix that.

And of course, remember that you, dear voters, can still submit your own plan. We're only halfway through, and you can get others to edit their posts and go for your own.
Happy voting; let's make a great character!

The main issue with I've Read Ahead is that the Antisocial and Shadow of Nihility flaws pair badly with one another, since the former makes Socials harder while the latter's quest ending properties accumulate via failures in Social and Mental rolls. This pretty much mandates that we prioritize getting rid of Shadow of Nihility above anything else, which will limit our options significantly (and is likely something that people won't be all that enthused about, but since it is uncertain that we have ways to lower the Nihility's counter, we don't really have a choice in the matter). And Overprepared does not help out on that front, since it eats into our action count for an unreliable benefit that may not even be received.
Also, all plans lend themselves towards an interesting narrative, so I don't see one plan as presenting a more interesting narrative than the others. To that end, between the plans that are competitive, I am more inclined towards either The Knight who Lost Her Princess or The All Loving, since I believe them to be less limiting with the flaws that are picked, allowing us more freedom to explore the world and pursue things that interest us.

I don't care about the limiting nature of the I've Read Ahead flaws! In fact that's not quite accurate, I think it makes it more interesting having to work around a system like the Nihility value, and I doubt that the Nihility value wont have ways to reduce it, that would be absurd for a loss condition. Meanwhile Knight and Loving provide too much freedom and the power to back it up, which are simply less interesting to me in return, and in Loving's case "Ire of the Path" will eventually just be a non-issue seemingly like the QM mentioned.

Not that anyone is wrong for voting how they like, but the point is that people like different things so the possibly limiting nature of Read Ahead may be a charm point to others, like me.

[X] Plan I've Read Ahead

Pretty much what I wanted. I've been wanting to read more about the Nihilty path. More likely than not to become a Self-Annihilator, but I want to see if we can swing it to become a Doctor of Chaos instead.

[X] Plan: The All Loving
[X] Plan The Knight who lost her Princess

I was originally committed to my tragic yuri and hopefully slightly less tragic yuri character arcs going forward, but going for the other HI3 reference and full Elysia mode is always fun. I like them both, so approval voting

I think it makes it more interesting having to work around a system like the Nihility value, and I doubt that the Nihility value wont have ways to reduce it, that would be absurd for a loss condition.
True! Acts of kindness or empathy can reduce it, and multiple powerful people in the galaxy like {SPOILER} and {SPOILER} will be interested in working with you on removing it.
Meanwhile Knight and Loving provide too much freedom and the power to back it up, which are simply less interesting to me in return, and in Loving's case "Ire of the Path" will eventually just be a non-issue seemingly like the QM mentioned.
Untrue. After some deliberation and some sleep, I've realized that just because Knight and Loving are powerful does not mean they are all rounders. Giving them Social and Technical rolls respectively will prove to be a challenge, and who's to say that I'm not above having you fools fight Jingliu and Blade on your own?
And the Ire of a Path is random, even to me. You may say the power of friendship solves all, but if Dan Heng had to deal with TORTURE AND INVISIBLE ASSASSINS, I can make that a pain in the ass to deal with as well if I roll something like the Masked Fools. And if I roll a faction like the IPC (that's a nat 1 btw), you all are screwed, because they don't give a damn about the power of friendship.

Pick any origin. They're all valid.

[X] Plan The Shell Within And Without
- [X] A Knight Of Glamoth
- [X] Emanator of a Path (-2)
- [X] Revelation From Above (-1)
- [X] Shadow of Nihility (+1)

[X] Plan The Knight who lost her Princess
[X] Plan I've Read Ahead

The vision here is a Harmony path - with parallels to the Propagation's hivemind mentality.

I just find the idea of an overly social mecha pilot slowly risking the loss of their individuality interesting. Being surrounded by so many people as Harmony is wont to do, pushed by the coordination of the Swarm's instinct, yet rotting on the inside due to Entropy Loss Syndrome and IX's Shadow staking a claim on their mind.

Themes of duality between harm of the body and mind as the pilot, but perfection of it as the mecha: perfectly social and a known power threat.

Oh but I don't mind all the other options, they're really good as well. I just wanted to make a new plan 'cause why not?

Turns your mecha into a massive boombox.

EDIT: I also need to live with myself because I had too many other ideas, one of them being a massive Elation troll with pet Wubbaboos. I needed to compromise and at least try proposing one of them.
