  • [X]Investigate the flying creatures of the air
    [X] Collect the Colors
-[X] Reach out and gather the colors from the sky. Let the colors of dawn seep into a palette, formed from the clouds.
-[X] Study the creatures around you, painting them in a cloud canvas of the sky.
    [X] Chase the Moon
-[X] Propel yourself towards the moon, using the clouds as stepping stones that bounce you higher and higher with each leap.
-[X] As you ascent, gather the colors of the sky, the blush of the sunrise giving rise to the deep velvet of of the stars.

Drifting Down
You are curious. You fly towards the salamander creature that ate colors first and reach out to it. The salamander is quick, and picks up speed rapidly vanishing away. You stare at where it left off to and shrug. You can chase another. You turn and fly to the clouds. Another one of them will likely be a creature as well. One rumbles and shifts as you touch it, taking on the form of a giant woolly oxen. You have found yourself on its back. It feels like you're on a pile of cotton, but it's cool to the touch. You experiment, and find you can either pass your hand through the very edges of the wisps around the cloud beast, or curl them around your fingers like fur. It's extremely soft, but you can only press in so far, and the temperature drops quickly reaching in.

The cloud beast has started to descend with you on its back, bouncing down and through. You brace yourself as a shriek pierces the air, and you see a great winged serpent soaring through the air. It's beautiful. You watch it approach, before realizing that either you or the cloud beast is its dinner plans.

[X] try to Tame them.. And
-[X] Fashion eggs from the cloud stuff to tempt the serpent. Use it like a golden apple of myth.
-[X] Steer the great ox away with gentle prods to graze on other cloud pastures.

[X] Sky Battle
-[X] Direct the great ox towards the serpent and enrage it into breaking into a stampede.
-[X] Jump off it's back at the last moment and watch the sky battle from afar like you used to as a child.

Sky Ship
You lift yourself half up off the woolly cloud ox and prod it away from where the flying serpent is. It slowly begins to gamble in that direction. You hurry and start making eggs out of the clouds around you. The eggs are easier to swirl up than you'd expected, though each one you make leaves everything feeling slightly fainter and duller. You lob them towards the flying serpent to slow it down. It really attracts its attention. It greedily snatches the eggs that you make out of the air where you toss them. It takes its time eating each one and watches you eagerly for more.

You're feeling more detached than earlier, but confident in your victory over the winged serpent. It's no longer attacking, simply flying and waiting to see if you have anymore of those delicious eggs to feed it. You slowly drift closer towards it, hoping you might get a chance to pet it. The serpent sharply turns its head, and you're afraid it's going to go after the cloud beast after all. That isn't what breaks over the horizon though.

It's a ship in the sky. Red sails with golden rune circuits on them encircle the entire body of the ship as it soars proudly through the air. You can just make out a small crew working the rigging as they sail through the sky. And they're coming towards you.

[X] Fly towards the ship
-[X] Bid farewell to the serpent and once its occupied fly towards the ship, hailing them.
-[X] Before hailing, observe the ship's movements and the crew's behavior. Look for flags, emblems, or other identifying marks that might tell you more about who they are.
-[X] If they seem dangerous fly away and attempt to befriend the serpent instead to escape together. Or just hide in the clouds if it is too skittish.

I don't trust the serpent to actually be friendly, but I suppose it's at least calm currently. Keeping it that way seems like the best option. If the ship is hostile, I'd expect the serpent to know and react. I don't want to be hostile, so fleeing is fine. I'd they attack each other, I'd rather not be trying to pick a side without more information.

Serpent Flight
"It's alright," you told the winged serpent soothingly. Its wings continued to flap steadily holding it in the air as it stared at the ship. You reached out and stroked along the scales. They were wonderfully smooth to the touch. You wondered if all snakes felt this smooth to touch along their scales. The winged serpent allowed you to do so, at least until you climbed on its back.

The winged serpent let out a hiss and shot up into the air. You clung tightly to the long sinuous body underneath you. It would be a lot easier if the winged serpent wasn't basically a long noodle with wings. There was no differentiation between the torso and the tail unless you slipped down far enough for it to start to thin. The winged serpent flew, and flew, and you clung tightly as it spiraled up through the air. It felt like an age before it settled, and began to circle for prey to hunt. It had either forgotten you were still on it, or adjusted to your presence.

[X] Towards the Moon
-[X] Attempt to steer the serpent ever upwards till you break through the cloud bank.
-[X] Should you get the chance, gather the colors of the sky, the reds of the sunrise and the deep velvet of night studded with stars in your cloud pallette. And fashion them into prey for the serpent to feed on.
-[X] Be careful not to exhaust yourself like last time, try to bring the colours inside yourself.

[X] Let it choose where it goes, see what it hunts and what you spy. And..
-[X] Accept the natural order and let the serpent be your guide in this river of clouds.
-[X] As you move through the clouds trail your finger through the sunset pinks and oranges, the sky blue, trying to capture them into a pallette. Let the colours seep into your soul.

Hm. I was curious about the ship. A ship implies people.

[X]Try to interact with the colors

The colors seem interesting. Maybe we can learn something.

I kind of want to try to steer the serpent, but I'm not sure of a goal to steer towards

Colored Soul
The winged serpent was more lazy in its flight now, but it was still on the hunt. The hunger was dulled, but catching enough prey to settle into a stupor of rest and digestion was its goal.

As it flew you reached up to the sky and let the colors in it seep in. A pale blue that filled you with the feel of bright cheer and refreshment. A soft pink that promised warmth and beauty. A yellow that dripped with promise of what could be, and thoughts of what was beyond. Even the white of the clouds, filled with a sense of contentment and flight. You could feel the colors seeping in, coloring how you viewed things. You looked out at this strange place you had found yourself in, and knew yourself to be limitless.

Your serpent friend dove down and grabbed what looked like an eel flying through the sky with the head of a blind elephant, using its ears to steer. It fought in the serpent's grasp as it swallowed it down.
