I admit, I love the idea of a historian or librarian who asked the dead for knowledge that they knew that has been suppressed.

The kingdoms of the dwarves are dead.
Who better than a necromancer to make them rise again ?

We dug too greedily and too deep, and awoke shadow and flame. And we said hi.

I'm not saying you've actually carried out dwarf sacrifices, but you know, you could remove someone's still-beating heart from their chest. Just hypothetically, of course.

Fully dwarven ancestor priestess all they way!

With this combo, we will become the new Queen of Crime! The Mafia's Boss! The Leader in the Shadows!

Everything I have learnt about d&d (and pathfinder is d&d) wizards makes it sound like the most boring class of all time no matter how "powerful" it is.

Now mastermind rogue? That has pizazz! That has vibes! That's cool.

I'm torn between bookkeeper for it's role in being an effective administrator of a villain, but, OTOH, Volcano base~

Wizard is really the perfect class for becoming an evil fantasy villain. We can commune with dark beings and chew on the scenery while burning the kingdom down with magic fire. And build a menacing Wizard's tower, of course.

Interestingly, Pathfinder 2e does a lot to make wizards less overwhelmingly powerful, primarily through two main angles:
- Spells which used to provide automatic success or massive bonuses on stealth checks now don't do that. A Rogue will be better than you at sneaking and picking locks, for example, even if you have the invisibility and knock spells, while a fighter will still kick your arse even if you've transformed into a dragon.
- A lot of the more long-term effects, like creating undead or summoning/binding outsiders or plane shifting or, hell, even Wish and Resurrection... aren't spells any more. They're rituals, and as such can be learned and used by anyone, even non-spellcasters, and depend on the use of skill checks.

Wizards are still good, don't get me wrong, but they've generally been moved towards a more generalist sort of role - they can do a bit of everything, but never as good or better as a class which specialises in that.

A necromancer who does not possess the necromancer class is... a rather curious concept, but strange enough for a pathfinder-like setting.
