With the kind of genre conventions and villainy it appears we will be taking part in, I would like to advertise the Dwarf race as they're probably one of the better options for constructing our evil lair inside an active volcano. Doing so will result in a significant improvement in "fantasy villain" aesthetics, while providing easy access to magma for use in the traditional lava moats.
Plus it also serves as a very convenient hazard to slowly lower whichever caged prince(ss) we've kidnapped this week into while the heroes valiantly do battle with us to save them.

Btw Maugan. Having looked up the basic campaign path of WotW. How much wiggle room do we have with our theme of villainy?
Are we looking at a preset path like a demonic cult or are we allowed to be creative with ideas on how to take control of the kingdom and go for things like evil shadowy bank manager.

There will be a cult of Asmodeus in operation that will be backing/bankrolling you initially, but if you want to go independent and start up your own personal blend of artisanal villainy, go right ahead.

I vote for breaking off personally but that's just because I dislike Asmodous personally, idk the lawful evil types always struck me as a lot more vile then the CE ones (who are neat) despite pathfinder going hard on the opposite

On races, I like the motivation for human a lot and orc is neat, the elf one seems cool too but idk if I want to be ex aristocracy. Not super into dwarves but it still works, all them def seem fun

The Dwarven race used to be Renown for the quality of anything it produced. Do you still believe that Dwarven crafts of the highest quality, or do you really think all we're capable of is spouting the "deepest of lore" trivia they've reduced us to?
