Perhaps it's for the best that planetesimals (probably?) don't get intoxicated, because your feasting continues with samples of volatile ices enhancing your migratory performance, a shower of metallic asteroids, salty ice slurry, and sulfide-rich residues. Only a tiny fraction of your recent meal has been digested for now, but you feel that your great meal is quickly expanding both your ability to capture more material and the ease with which you can incorporate captured material. With your growing sphere of influence, maybe absorption will be the default soon, with rejecting incoming material instead requiring active effort.
