The young priestess of the Moriya Shrine

Sadly sans one well-dressed fox.

and the leader of the Buddhist temple

Sadly not realizing this will have actually been the good part of her day.

Mamizou was still staring at you.

Uh-oh, I think we broke her.

You smile. Then gesture behind yourself towards the opening door. "I am her brother, of course."

You blink, staring down at… "Oh fuck."

Byakuren: "....fuck it. This day is a bust. Going to bed and trying again tomorrow."

[X] [Byakuren, why was Kyouko working alone?]

Because this is just so mundane and minor it comes off as hilarious.

[X] [Byakuren, I missed you.]

"But not to worry- I've been practicing my aim!"

Hey sis, long time no see! Now square the fuck up, bitch. :p

"GOOOOOOD MORNING VIETNAM!"
FTFY :p
This time, it is pure inanity that has acted as the starting trigger. The young priestess of the Moriya Shrine, and the leader of the Buddhist temple have both been attempting to preach in front of one of the public fountains, and tempers have flared.
Something about a teacup, and broken porcelain, and recriminations of past misconduct. Few could tell who started the argument, and fewer care. What matters to the people of the village-

-a dense burst of green bolts whistle down the streets, slam into a storefront window, shatter glass and wood alike-
She's getting a scolding for having a danmaku fight in the middle of the village, especially for such an uncertain and mundane reason.

Sanae will probably be scolded by at least one of her moms.
Said snow, you know, was being handled by the young youkai that had just tried to deafen you going by the shovel held in her hand. Her green eyes looked up at you in absolute delight, and despite your… perhaps displeasure in a greeting such as that occurring in a temple.
This is temple grounds but outside the temple proper. There isn't anyone meditating or praying puts de either. Therefore, Kyouko is exercising her right to use her very outside voice
you would have liked to say there wasn't evidence that meat had been served here recently. There were many things you would have liked to say, but you did not lie.
I'm aware that monks aren't typically allowed to eat meat, but there are youkai that worship here. Some of them might not be able to eat anything other than meat. It would be cruel to force them to eat something that their bodies are incapable of digesting.

Also, I think there is a specific kind of meat that some Buddhist monks are not allowed to eat?
You smile. Then lift your cup. "This one is yours, Kyouko."

The youkai looks remarkably perplexed. "... No? Sir, that is the tea you asked for."

"Indeed, but I did not state it was for myself. You were out there shoveling snow in the cold on your lonesome without any of the other residents of the temple assisting you. You had been out there since before dawn. You shall now rest and partake in tea, then we shall await the arrival of Byakuren."
Sounds like Kyouko earned this tea break!
"I am her brother, of course."

You blink, staring down at… "Oh fuck."

"Language."

[X] [Byakuren, I missed you.]

My plan was to give Byakuren a hug first. Then we scold her while giving said hug so that she cannot escape!

EDIT:
Because this is just so mundane and minor it comes off as hilarious.
It might not be as mundane as it sounds. Kyouko shoveling snow by herself, despite the presence of other worshippers in the building, could imply discrimination or outright bullying that she herself does not recognize.

It could also imply disproportionate punishment for disrupting prayer or some such.
