You turned to fetch the guard. "The luggage car is locked," you informed him. "I suspect our thief might be hiding out in there."
The guard frowned. "That doesn't seem likely, it would be very uncomfortable, and we already have evidence he bought a cabin."
"He might not have expected us to catch onto him so soon and had to go there," you tried.
The guard sighed. "Let me finish checking the dining car." It took him a good half hour to finish up and confirm that the suspect wasn't there before he turned and headed back down to the luggage car. He dug through his jacket and frowned. Reaching down he patted his pants pockets, and then his jacket again. He checked his belt. "That's odd, I seem to have forgotten my keys. One moment." He headed up to the front of the train where the staff had small rooms of their own and began to dig through it searching for his keys. He went through it again and again, before turning back to you. "We'll have to wait to arrive at the station to open the luggage car."
