It's a good chapter. Though, didn't the Buddha forbid Bodhisattva from revealing themselves? Or am I remembering it wrong?

Nothing has ever come up in my research, though I'm admittedly having to learn Buddhism from scratch.
This chapter does paint an amusing mental image of Cirno being carried like a literal child.
It's interesting that Hijiri notes the kappa are different than what he remembers. Changing from drowning you in the water to shooting you with steampunk water cannons.

Alright, I did some research, and apparently the Buddha unequivocally instructed the enlightened to never reveal their identities, saying that anyone who does so is on the side of the Mara, not the Buddhas.

This walking around with Cirno reminds me of an old, old touhou fic back on /thp/. Nice to see it happening again after so long. Ryuji is definately gonna get a boost in the rankings with this scoop! An interview with a genuine bodhisattva? How many tengu can claim to have done the same? I'm greatly enjoying the generaly cozy vibe of this story, no stress, no great drama, just an enlightened man bringing peace in word and deed. Very comfy! Now I would vote, but I would enjoy all the options presented and voting for all seems a bit redundant. So i'll just say I look forward to reading the first contact between Gensokyo buddhism and mainstream buddhism.
