Alright, here's the 'some money + cultivation hints' plan, which seems good to me:

[X] Charge him 2000 oz. of silver for 950 units of Healing Clay and 50 of Restful Clay, along with whatever cultivation advice he thinks is fair to balance out the rest of any debt.
[X] Make sure to tell him the context in which we discovered the Drysalt/Dorri connection (our father's murder).
[X] Head to the Shapecrafter's den

I think if we ask for info, asking him for what he thinks is fair will get us more than specificity.

My only other thought is some sort of assistance against Drysalt or during the Vestfold arc, but not sure what.

The thrall bows and leaves the room as Jarl Erikaer watches with clear interest. You kneel and scrawl your desires on the floor, air, and spirits as a ward of privacy falls around you. Spells upon spells slip through your soul as you wield your will like a blade and cleave a space of absolute secrecy from the cloth of reality.
This is one of the coolest ways ive seen magic described. Wow

Charge him normal silver costs and ask for info, I say. We're already going to make bank on it, right?

I think I just had a REVELATION as to what the third tentpole of Saga Expansion is, but I'll wait until I get some confirmation before I announce it to the thread.

That being said, I think this is a good time to get a hint as to the Blood Cultivation. That seems less sensitive than direct Odr Cultivation information, but it's still valuable to us, especially if we can get him to hint to us how to do it properly

I think we're most of the way there on that one, and will get more by just asking him to give us what he thinks is fair. It might be that, it might be Odr stuff. It might be both.

Well part of telling a Saga is sharing the story and talking about your accomplishments. It might have something to do with that and could also explain how Corpsemaker was able to do the following. Its not a far jump from sharing stories and talking to stealing words and secrets from people.

"I'll let you live, but this secret stays here with me." His hand presses against Lidrun's face as he pulls the stolen words from her soul. White, silky strands of wispy energy trails from his fingers as Lidrun's convulsions fall flat as her breathing evens out. With a flexing of the hand, he crushes the secret between his fingers

along with whatever cultivation advice he thinks is fair to balance out the rest of any debt.
You'll have to be more specific than that
EDIT: Also @Imperial Fister, could we buy whetsone here?
Yep
So, @Imperial Fister , which of our precautions made it impossible for Lidrun to Skald Sneak her way into the conversation without getting caught? Or was this more "Corpsemaker was so thrilled about the outcome that he did us a solid and ensured information security?"
Lidrun had a bunch of twists going that allowed her to, essentially, 'peak in on' your Eyetalking. Corpsemaker, of course, knew all about her presence—for she was in his hall—and was going to do that to her regardless of what you gave to him as information, simply as a matter of principle.

Well, IF got squirrely about the topic, but broadly speaking, I realized it while I was trying to figure out the wording for a question on the third tentpole.

The answer's already there for us, isn't it?

Our Farmsoul, as a Superior Foundation--was much better than most who enter Odr Cultivation. So we entered Saga Expansion at an advantage.

We had a large variety of Vaettir--but they're all blank slates at the start.

We had two distinct biomes--the one we cultivated in Saga Establishment, and the Valley, which is new--but rich in flora and attracting a lot of Vaettir

And most importantly, the thing we all noticed at the start. There's clear dividing lines between each biome. The Valley is ringed in mountains, the Farm is at the top of a mountain peak.

Cultivate the Land, Fill it with Life, and Defend it from invaders.

As Above, So Below. It's not even really that different from what we did in Saga Establishment except in scope. We're painting in lands (Building the House), we're filling it with life (Farms and other plantlife), and we're making sure that they maintain integrity even against outside stress (The Fence)

It fits, very neatly.

We could ask for the next step of Saga Establishment.

Even if Alectai is right, details and confirmation are valuable.

I think knowing his advice on how to proceed is valuable even if Alectai is completely right about the general shape of things, yeah.

[X] Charge him 2000 oz. of silver for 950 units of Healing Clay and 50 of Restful Clay, along with his advice on the next step of our Odr Cultivation journey
[X] Make sure to tell him the context in which we discovered the Drysalt/Dorri connection (our father's murder).
[X] Head to the Shapecrafter's den

@Imperial Fister is this specific enough?

EDIT:
[X] Charge him 2000 oz. of silver for 950 units of Healing Clay and 50 of Restful Clay, Along with laying out our thoughts on the Blood Infusion thing and if he can give us some insights as to how we can properly make use of it ourselves.

And this, because Alectai makes a good point and I'm torn which is better to ask.

I feel like I've gotten a good enough idea on Saga Expansion after my recent REVELATION that we can probably tug at the remaining threads, but this is something that we only think we know how to do--and remember, it'd be better to find the Odr Cultivation version of it if we can--it'd save us considerable research time and danger if we can get some advice on the topic.

You make a point. I'm torn between the two possibilities for what to ask and adding an approval vote for this option.

He chuckles as he snatches up a cup from the table and replaces the empty canteen with it, "You did better than most, to your credit. Certainly better than that Lidrun of the Red Scarf." He nods over your shoulder and, as you follow his gaze, you find yourself staring into the yellow eyes of a convulsing Lidrun as she writhes on the floor.

Probably time to invest in more...stringent/extreme security measures. Also, we need to understand the other routes of Norse Cultivation better.
