I know we'll get a minus, but I think it's worth it to try.

SEASON 1 - EPISODE 1 - 5
RESULTS: (At a Threshold of 1.5 points)

  • [X] - Try to talk it out with the 'Citadel Authority'. ( Out-Of-Character ) [6 points]
  • [X] - "Power the FTL. We're getting out of here." ( + In-Character ) [6 points]
  • [X] - "Power all munitions, I want two nuke silos ready pronto." ( ++ In-Character ) [3 points]

"Power the FTL..." Saul nodded, but only slowly moved aside to give the order, sensing Bill's hesitation. Gritting his teeth, the old war wolf growled out before picking up the radio-comm receiver.
"And wait." He said, away from it, but with a tense look gazing into the Colonel's eyes. His friend simply nodded and walked off to give the order through another receiver, whilst Adama put his own to his mouth.
"Citadel Authority. I suppose you understanding something we say, now. We have no idea who you are or what your business is, but we are not shutting down our weapons while you're the one erecting an attack pattern. State your objective." He growled out at the end, peering up at the Dradis. As he did, he heard the radio chatter from the Vipers in the air. Having no response yet, Adama peered back to the Colonel, barking out. "I want all munitions powered up and two uke silos primed and ready. Show them we're not stepping down just yet."

The Colonel soon relayed the order as the loud echoing of alarms announcing Nuke readiness was heard. As the silos were announced to be opened, Dualla perked up. "A lot of chatter caught on our frequency. I don't know what they're saying but they seem to be yelling. Distressed."

"Seems the aliens fear one thing, and that's nuclear hellfire." Saul commented, walking back up to the command table. Lee could be heard over the inter-comm. "Alright, Yellow Wing, be careful, you're drifting too close. Starbuck, take Blue Wing a bit further on our 88.
"Roger, wilco." She answered, breaking off with her wing to flank further to the left. A good decision, to compensate for the mass of Unknown fighters. Silence was soon broken again by the alien voice.

"Commander Adama. Stand down. Citadel Authority. You break laws."
"What law that I did not know of have I broken, Citadel Authority? And what is the Citadel Authority and what the Hell are you doing flanking my fleet?" Adama bit back, still glaring up the Dradis. The white noise from the comms echoed. Gaeta spoke up. "FTLs will be fire dup in 4 minutes, sir."

"Good, hold them."
"Errr, Galactica-Actual, this is Apollo."
"Report, Apollo," Adama said, switching to his frequency. His son soon replied. "These fighters are beyond weird, Actual. Taking battle pictures and sending the data by the wireless. I can't believe that these things can even fly, let alone be aerodynamic."

"They're aliens, what did he expect?" Saul muttered, making William scoff. "Good, just stay in formation for now. Galactica-Actual, out." He then switched back to the alien frequency, sighing, before he pressed the send button. "Citadel Authority. You there?"

"... Desolas Arterius."
"That your name?"
"Yes."
"I am Commander William Adama. What is your objective with my fleet?"
There was a deep silence. Before, finally, 'Desolas' spoke again.
"Authority." There was a click, and an even louder white noise before Dualla silenced it. "Hail finished, sir! They just changed frequency throughout their fleet.
"Huge heat signature spike at the front of their ships! Radioactive!" Gaeta yelled out.
"Nukes!?" Saul asked, roaring over the chatter and alarms. "No! It's- oh my Gods! BRACE FOR IMPACT!" The Lieutenant was the first to dive under his desk, as William instinctively clutched the table and leaned over it. People groaned out, dropping down to the floor, before, just a second later, a deep -shake- could be felt throughout the bridge, the ship creaking audibly. An officer by the ship diagnostics wall screamed out. "Holy shit! Decks 23 to 25 just got caved in, sir! Venting oxygen fast!"

"Close off decks 22 and 26!" Saul immediately yelled, clutching his head, which bled from a bump against the table. William himself groaned, standing upright and blinking at the Dradis. After a whirl, the frequencies adjusted, and so did the mainframe from its glitch, showing all-out dogfights between the fighters. Apollo and Starbuck both giving orders to confused pilots.
"Sir! Raptor-N67 with Doctor Baltar and his team have landed in the portside bay!" Dualla said, groaning as she got back up to her mainframe. Gaeta stepped in, however.

"More heat signatures, same as before! Some kind of kinetic, radioactive blast! Faster than anything the Cylons have ever made!" Both trembling fear and amazement could be heard within Gaeta's voice. "We've lost two birds and only taken out four of theirs, Galactica-Actual!" Starbuck could be heard roaring over the comms. "What are your orders!?"

Threshold: 2 points.

Well, we tried. Unfortunately, we ended up talking to this total jerk.

[X] - "Evasive maneuvers, go into a controlled spin!"

I'm actually surprised they were able to punch through an armor belt capable of withstanding a nuclear blast in one shot.

Galactica's an old beast. Nukes are one thing, but the kinetic blast of a mass-effect based frontal cannon is something else. Considering that it took 4-5 to rupture a Reper's frontal flank, one can guess that it's strong enough to wound Galactica. But not kill her.

We seem to be achieving favorable trades with our fighters even if they do have more quantity than us. Best to focus on what just nearly wiped our main ship. Peace would be nice but it's time to hit back if we don't want humanity to be anything more than a client state. If that.

[X] - "Evasive maneuvers, go into a controlled spin!"

Jesus fucking christ.

The expected outcome. But at least we fucked over Desolas by getting it on record that we don't know about the Citadel or its inapplicable laws and he pulled this shit knowing that.

[X] - "Begin jump to the Civilian Fleet!"

[X] - "Apollo, this is Galactica-Actual, create an opening for two of my nukes to fire at the central ship."

We need to leave, should of already but that's besides the point, we need not to escalate any further

[X] - "Apollo, this is Galactica-Actual, clear the perimeter and return home, we're firing into you!"
[X] - "Begin jump to the Civilian Fleet!"

whatever gets them to return to the ship and lets us depart ASAP.

Gonna extend the deadline another day, so I expect final votes to be up by the 25th 5:30 GMT

Hello! Deadline soon, as above.

Just wanted to plug a new quest I'm doing on the side. This will remain to be my main one, but I hope you all check out my other work!
