Decided to put a version of my plan that drops Zugzwang for Back from the store to gauge the thread's opinion on which we consider more important between rescuing Professor Go or finding out IC about Schneizel, his plans and the FLEIJA.

I think this is the best plan put forward because with everything that has happened recently. We have done a lot with the Geass plot line and Schneizel is the kind of man who prefers slow and stead and plan action over charging in all guns blazing and with things as they are I don't thing the whole Laluch becoming Emperor and they getting himself killed is going to happen so we may be able to keep Schneizel from being a enemy.

Professor Go on the other hand is someone we should try to keep alive as he can help us blow the Voltes V plot up in a good way for us and Heinal is some who needs to know the truth to get out of the trap he's in.

I do have a question for everyone.

Noriko specifically called out to Amuro when she noticed our forces were helping her out so what would you guy say to drop the Relax action for having a talk with him so we could maybe act as a bridge for those two to interact because she could use some faces she can recognize with Kazumi in the state she's in?

Speaking of which, I recall, Tem Ray was an expy of Kentaro Go, as they're both fathers of the main characters (Amuro and Kenichi) and built the Super Robot and Gundam respectively. The exception is that Kentaro was in good terms with Kenichi and his brothers and also survived compared to Tem who was distant from Amuro and had brain damage.

..Hm, I wonder if we're in a timeline where he's alive. And maybe that "piece of junk" pulled a SRW 30 and is secretly a solid buff to even the Hi-Nu.

Or maybe this is the Hammer timeline, where he survived because he hyper-obsessed over the RX-78-2's Hammer.

Alas, Tem Ray was well past his prime before the One Year War ended, and the oxygen deprivation certainly didn't help. If he hadn't died by falling over and hitting his head after the war ended, he would have tried to jockey for a position on the Gundam Development Project, only for Nina Purpleton to absolutely smoke him from a technical standpoint.

So basically Tem Ray got screwed over by the Federation like Amuro did, the latter being under house arrest?

Like father, Like son I guess.

But what about having a position in the AEUG or Karaba for Tem Ray?

So the medicine and doctors from other dimensions won't be able to help Tem Ray? Not even the healing pods used by Celestial Being as well?

That sucks. :(

Outside of the Scad Hammer timeline, Tem Ray is legitimately crippled by the time of his possible death (it's not a confirmed death in most timelines, but he is never shown again, so it can be assumed.)

By the time Amuro discovered he's alive, he honestly shouldn't have been living alone. He should have been remanded to a permanent hospital stay or assisted care facility. I doubt there was much that could have been done, had the tech even existed at the time.

Scad Hammer timeline means he actually escapes with the Gundam and Amuro. Also, the Gundam Hammer is absolutely batshit insane. "Pushed a crashed and stuck Salamis-class down a hallway" strong.

Honestly that was just kind of the genre standard in the 70's. If the mech's designer wasn't the main character's dead or disappeared father, he was the female lead's father (Getter Robo, Combattler V). The only real complication to this formula actually comes from the original - Mazinger Z was designed by Kouji's grandfather but, of course, Kouji's absent father turned up alive for the sequel after having designed the upgrade (for his new, adopted son. Thanks Kenzo.)

True, Tomino worked on Voltes V as one of its anime producers in 1977 before making his Mobile Suit Gundam in 1979. There are some familiar themes between them such as The Slap, the ally sacrificing their lives to save or aid the hero by crashing their fighter ships into the enemy mecha and also Heinel preceding Char Clone trope before Char Aznable was even a thing and codified for example.

March UE 0084
Nyan-Nyan original location, Macross City

You take a sip of green tea while Noriko does the same. With Kazumi still recovering in an N.U.N.S. hospital on the Macross, Noriko has opted to stay in Macross City for the time being.

"So...how's Kazumi doing?" You ask.

"She's getting better. Still can't stay conscious for more than around five hours at a time, but she still recognizes me at least. The doctors say she should be up and about by the end of the month." Noriko replies.

"That's good." You say.

There's a small silence between the two of you as you both try to think of what to say without coming across as inconsiderate.

"Hey-"

"Uh-"

You both stop talking.

"You first." You say after a second.

"Sorry. I was just thinking about how...strange things are from my perspective." Noriko says.

"Whaddya mean by that?" You ask as you take a sip of tea.
"Well, there's the fact that I know the counterparts of a lot of people in this dimension. It's...weird, having someone that looks like someone I know not know me at all." Noriko says.

"Oof, I can imagine. Is Amuro much different from how you knew him?" You ask.

"Not...really? I guess he's a little less cynical than the one I knew. Probably because he got back with Beltorchika after Chan was killed here?" Noriko replies.

"Huh." You raise an eyebrow.

"Anyway, I'll get used to it. Considering that fact that the alternative to accepting Samsara's help was spending time in that black hole and coming out 12000 years later due to time dilation...well, there's no guarantee the Council wouldn't have still been a problem." Noriko says.

"Well, if you ever need help adjusting to here..." You offer.

"Thanks." Noriko smiles. "So, what were you going to say?"

"Oh..." You glance down, then back up at Noriko. "I was wondering...what was my...dimension of conception like? Did you know my parents?"

Noriko whistles as she tries to process your questions.

"Well, to answer your first question..." Noriko taps her chin. "I'd say it was sort of like this one. A lot more straight up monsters to deal with though. Heterodynes, Mimetic Beasts, Zonder, STMC, the Radam...anyway, the list goes on. Our calendar was called the Universal Century, and the Earth Federation was...basically the same? At least, before Laplace's Box was opened." Noriko pauses to take a sip of her tea.

"As for your second question, I did have the opportunity to talk to your parents a few times." Noriko says.

Your breath hitches.

"What were they like? I only know of them through a video Samsara showed me." You say.

"Well...your father was...I guess you could say he was the life of the party whenever he wasn't working. He knew how to make people laugh with him, not at him, and he loved chatting people up. As for your mother, she was kind and gentle. Some would say she was a pure soul. Everyone was surprised when she started designing weapons after the Council invaded though. Guess even she had her limits." Noriko says.

You stare down at the table for a bit before Noriko reaches forward and clasps your hand in hers.

The two of you stay like that until your food arrives.

In orbit around the moon

The Freedom, Justice, Aile Strike, and IWSP Strike Rouge Gundams hide in a debris field that has a good view of the moon. They've been dispatched to try and get some reconnaissance of the area.

What they're seeing isn't encouraging.

Himika's mobile space fortress, the Yamato-no-Orochi, blasts anything gets close to it while Giganos Metal Armors and A-LAWS mobile suits battle with Haniwa Phantoms and mask-like drones.

"Doesn't it seem like Himika's...looking for something? That thing's been traveling in concentric circles above this region of the moon ever since it got here." Mu says.

Suddenly, Dearka's voice comes on over the radio.

"Guys, something else approaching the battlefield at high speed!" He says.

Everyone else turns and sees a series of mobile weapons that resemble what Dancouga Nova clashed with when rescuing R-Daigun.

The new arrivals proceed to attack everything else indiscriminately. At the same time, a magical portal opens up above the Yamato-no-Orochi, and numerous Haniwa Phantoms and mask drones enter. For a brief moment, Kira and Mu recognize the land of Cephiro through the other end of the portal.

"That's not good. I hope the Magic Knights will be able to handle things in Cephiro." Kira says.

"This party's getting a bit too spicy. Let's head back to the ships." Mu says.

As the gathered Gundams turn to go back, Kira takes one last glance at the ongoing battle.

What does he focus on?

[ ] The trajectory of the Yamato-no-Orochi

[ ] The combined Giganos/A-LAWS force

[ ] The unknown mobile weapons

A/N: Starting with simpler events to get them out of the way first. Please vote, discuss, and critique!

[X] The unknown mobile weapons

The other two are known factors, to some degree at least. Picking up information about an unknown is the best option

...Fffffffffuuuuuu-

Of course. This is a crossover, no fucking wonder some invaders would come from our end.

Sorry, Magic Knights! You gotta deal with some of our shit!

I think it's either the "unknowns" (ooc we know exactly what they are) or the Haniwa. We need more info on either of them, although Giganos might offer us knowledge of how shit's going on their political end and with the A-LAWS.

Also, that's a lot of factions. I'd hate to live on the Moon in this timeline. Would be as bad as living on the one in Majora's Mask.

...By the way, apparently our old universe was an alien gangbang. The Radam makes me want Tekkamen Blade to help us out. I recognize most of those, but Heterodyne only makes me think of Girl Genius.

Really, he seemed pretty young to me and before the brain damage that led to his death was the driving force behind the Federation Mobilesuit efforts and had the Ear of General Revil. He created the best all around suit of the Conflict and would have keep right on going in my mind. If the man had survived the war with his brain intact he would have been a major force in Federation technical circles although his son would probably have been a political liability with the distrust of Newtypes many had.

Still my least favorite love interest for him but at least he has someone to talk to and relay on.

[X] The trajectory of the Yamato-no-Orochi

Sense we are not going to be helping our Magic Knights out for this fight and the Jeegs are out of commission for the moment we really need to keep a eye on Himika's movements.
