The Chair
[x] The prison itself
It's done.
After having to listen to days and days of politicking between Gothans 'elite you now have confirmation that your body is to be the location of the city's newest prison.
You suspect it's partially because your body itself is actually quite a ways away from the city leaving more travel time for would be escapees… and you just as well suspect that the other part is that the existing buildings will save on the initial construction costs.
Having attended these meetings under a wide variety of different identities over the yearss as your old ones 'die of old age' you have gotten very familiar with both the upper classes desire to keep the lower ones from being a threat and their equal desire to contribute as little to the good of the city as they can possibly get away with.
Well with some exceptions the Waynes for instance have continuously bucked the trend… It honestly makes you wonder if they have some sort of mutation in their brain that makes them wired differently from other wealthy people.
Compared to some of the other strange instances of biology it would hardly be the weirdest thing you've seen… much as it may be ironic for a haunted building to call anything weird.
Whatever the case Bruce seemed oddly interested whenever the topic of reform was brought up, you feel tentative for the moment but having similar goals with one of the most powerful figures in Gotham would be a massive benefit.
Still now that you've been chosen to host this new prison.
You find yourself facing a new problem.
This chair.
An electric chair to be specific.
You hate it.
That chair ruined everything…. Is what you wish you could say…. Logically you know that it was 'only' the final nail in the coffin after a continually degrading trend.
When you'd first been built it'd been with the intents of an actual reformatory…. That didn't last long as more and more cruel punishments were mandated. More prisoners were being sent in and crammed into a smaller amount of space…. More laws were being rewritten to make it even harder for a criminal to finally leave the prison.
And then… that chair was installed.
It broke what remained of your first warden's hope.
And he blew his own brains out.
You hate that chair.
But you have to do something about it.
What do you do?
[ ] Leave it be, but cut the power to be sure: The Chairs present angers you greatly and makes the prison itself more aggressive in foiling escape attempts. All escape attempts to make a roll to see if an unforeseen complication foils it.
[ ] Donate it: A museum in Gotham wants to take it off your hands as an example of Gothams history, it'll be out of your sight at the very least. Gain a large sum of money and minor increase in political support.
[ ] Sell: One of Gothams richer detezines wants the chair for some reason and is willing to pull some strings for you in the future to get it. Gain a smaller amount of money but gain a major backer.
[ ] Destroy it!: The chair is destroyed and salvaged for some parts that can be repurposed to use in the future… super science has actually been around for quite some time as it turns out.
