I am very glad we brought along the former Titans. I mean Christ, even the kids. Its damn dirty work, but it needs to be done, and we had the people who could do it.

[X] Maternal Protection

For now our interests align. Let Marianne take her pound of flesh, the colony Gundams and Kallen can handle Rolo the fuckface.

There's not exactly a better chance for her to earn our trust. But damn if I still have a terrible feeling about this.

[X] Maternal Protection

I mean the other option is having her close to anything related to Charles project and I doubt her escorts could keep up with her an ACE of Brittania on a custom Made knightmare frame Made specifically for her.

[X] Maternal Protection

So long as Marianne isn't inside, even if we don't have the firepower to destroy the Thought Elevator, we could still try to cause a cave-in and prevent anyone from accessing it, which should serve as insurance in case Marianne isn't sincere about abandoning Charles and his plans.

Well, no matter what happens, the upcoming confrontation promises to be interesting, considering that it's between two people who hate one another, which should give some insight into said people. That said, we will likely have to invade the Britannian homeland in order to end the civil war, so Code Geass' plot isn't going to be done for now.

Oh no, Code Geass plot will be over once Charles is down.

Either by Lelouch shanking him or by putting him on the darkest and lowest prison cell we can probably find since I doubt he will abandon his instrumentality project that easily.

On the other hand now I see him trying to hijack SELEE and Gendo attemp at one if he manages to escape.

Since I doubt we are seeing anything of Lelouch plan to bring peace by killing itself.

Can't really discount Schneizel trying to pull something at this point, since it is a possibility that would require we invade (assuming we catch Charles outside of Britannian territory for some reason; the reason why I said we may need to invade Britannia is that Charles might just turtle up in there and continue to oppose our other efforts until we do something about him if we shut down his plans).

Geass Order HQ, Taklamakan Desert

You are Kallen Kozuki, and as you tear a bloody swathe through the interior of the Geass Order's subterranean HQ, Heero Yuy contacts you.

"Q-1, Rolo is closing on us, fast. Some of the Newtype pilots are coming over to assist us." Heero says.

"Got it. You and Trowa fall back to stay out of his Geass' range." You say.

As the Heavyarms Custom backflips onto one of the taller buildings and the Wing Zero ascends rapidly, you see a custom Vincent on sensors seemingly teleport over toward your group. At the same time, a trio of Jegans make their way over.

"Get ready, here he comes!" Duo yells as Rolo's Vincent closes in.

The Deathscythe Custom immediately dives into an alley before engaging every stealth system it has while Quatre and Wufei distract Rolo by trying to engage his Vincent in close combat with the Sandrock Custom and Altron.

For your part, you fire your slash harkens at Rolo's Vincent before ascending as rapidly as the Guren S.E.I.T.E.N. can, which turns out to be very, very fast. From what you understand, Rolo's Geass affects perception of time, but doesn't actually affect physical objects, especially things already in motion, so if you keep moving, he'll have less of an advantage.

Quatre and Wufei understand this too, as they're boosting into the air and flitting about as much as they can without crashing into the surrounding buildings or the ceiling, which puts Rolo at a disadvantage.

The Newtype-piloted Jegans arrive and immediately force Rolo on the defensive, and, judging by the way his Vincent and the Jegans keep seemingly teleporting, he's trying to retreat further into the complex. Thankfully, the Jegans aren't letting him.

That's when Duo, Trowa and Heero strike.

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLnG_mwD_ac

One second Rolo's Vincent is dodging attacks from the Jegans, the Sandrock Custom, and Altron. The next, the Deathscythe has appeared out of seemingly nowhere, beam scythe poised to bisect the Knightmare. A few seconds after that, a hail of bullets and missiles slams into Rolo's Vincent, knocking it into a building, before a massive beam erupts from the Wing Zero's Twin Buster Rifle.

Although Rolo is able to avoid immediate death at the hands of Heero, his Vincent's legs are still reduced to slag, and the resulting heat causes his ammunition to cook off anyway. Rolo ejects, his cockpit block sailing through the air and slamming into the ground.

You cautiously approach and see Rolo climb out of his cockpit block, bleeding profusely from his head. He leans back against the side of his cockpit block and coughs up blood.

"I...just wanted to be someone's brother..." Rolo sighs before closing his eyes and going limp.

Nunnaly's not going to be happy about this. You think to yourself.

"Confirmed, target down." Heero says as the Wing Zero lands next to you.

As an Asshimar tosses an incendiary grenade at a crowd of fleeing test subjects, you clench the Guren S.E.I.T.E.N.'s controls for a second before relaxing your hands. Thankfully, the roar of the flames is louder than whatever screams the unfortunate test subjects were capable of mustering.

Elsewhere in the facility

A customized Sutherland fires a bazooka at one of the Irregular's Vincents, only for it to dodge the round flawlessly. A different Vincent shoulders a massive rifle and fires an anti-ship round, clipping the Sutherland in the arm and tearing off half of the Knightmare's torso as a result. A third Vincent dashes past, and in a flash of metal, the Sutherland's remaining arm is cut off.

The Sutherland falls to the ground, it's cockpit opening up and disgorging its pilot, a young woman.

"Come with us, Mao. We can help you!" Sancia says.

"Yeah, we don't have to worry about our Geass killing us anymore!" Dalque says.

Mao gives a bitter laugh before coughing up blood.

"I'll pass. Even if I did want to defect to your merry little band, my body's too far gone at this point. Whatever was done to stop what was killing you would probably give me, what, a month or two?" Mao retorts.

"That's no reason to-" Alice is interrupted by Mao butting in.

"Save it. I'm the enemy, and there's no real reason to extend any kind of courtesy to me." Mao coughs up more blood before weakly performing a Britannian military salute.

"All...hail...Britannia..." Mao chokes out before going limp.

The members of the Irregular Warfare unit share a moment of silence before the sound of an explosion gets their attention.

"What is going on up there?" Lucretia ponders out loud.

Outside

You are Lelouch, and you and your allies are currently struggling to penetrate the Siegfried's electromagnetic shield.

"Damn you, V.V.! Fall!" You yell as you fire the Shinkiro's Hadron blasters at the Siegfried.

"You never did fit in among the rest of the Royal Family. I guess the progeny of a commoner will always be unfit for greatness!" V.V. taunts as he fires a slash harken at you.

You raise the Absolute Defense System, but it turns out to have been unnecessary, as the new Knightmare that had been approaching the battlefield appears before you in a flash of blue and cuts it in half with an MVS blade.

Now that it's practically next to you, you can see that this new Knightmare doesn't seem to match anything developed by Camelot or Rakshata. Rather than the sophistication of something like the Guren or the technological displays of the Lancelot series, this Knightmare is...simple. It's a stark blue, with gold trim and a float unit. The head is cyan with gold trim, and a series of blue filaments coming out of it give the impression of voluminous, feminine hair.

The pilot of this Knightmare opens up a channel with you, and voice you haven't heard since childhood fills your ears.

"How are you Lelouch, my dear son?" Your mother, Marianne vi Britannia, asks warmly.

You're momentarily at a loss for words before you respond.

"Things have been better." You say.

"A truer statement has never been said. Now, let mother dearest handle this. I have a score to settle with your uncle V.V." Your mother says as her Knightmare turns to face the Siegfried.

"Marianne! You commoner bitch, you actually betrayed us?! I knew you were poison the moment Charles laid his eyes on you!" V.V. snarls as he charges at your mother's Knightmare.

"Hello again V.V., you little shit. You have no idea how much I've been looking forward to this." Marianne says as her Knightmare lazily dodges the Siegfried's wild charge.

"Where did you get that Knightmare Frame? Our intelligence says that Camelot was focused on iterating on the Lancelot!" V.V. yells as he fires another slash harken at Marianne.

"Oh, this little thing? You honestly thought Britannia had a monopoly on Knightmare Frame R&D? The Vivian was developed by the N.U.N.S. shortly after you 'assassinated' me. Given how radioactive the design of the Ganymede had become, they were able to buy a copy of the blueprints from the Ashford family for an absolute steal. The asking price was, what, about a quarter of what went into Project Supernova?" Marianne says as she dodges and destroys the slash harken that V.V. fired at her.

"That doesn't explain why you're going against Charles!" V.V. screeches.

"Have you honestly never heard of a self-fulfilling prophecy? Besides, while I was residing in Lady Alstreim's body, I was able to...broaden my perspectives. Suppose we did manage to create the World Without Lies. That's all well and dandy, but humanity is not the only lifeform in the universe. How would we fight off the aliens? The Council? Just because we solve and preempt internal conflict doesn't mean that others won't try to take advantage of that." Marianne says.

V.V. screams in anger before charging at the Vivian. Marianne easily dodges before slashing at something on the Knight Giga Fortress.

"That should take care of the electromagnetic shield. Normally, I'd go for the kill immediately, but it's much more fun to watch him squirm." Marianne says as the Vivian bows and gestures at the Siegfried.

"All forces, open fire on the Siegfried!" You order.

Cornelia fires a pair of bazookas at the Siegfried while you charge the Shinkiro's Phase Transition Cannon and let loose at full power. The Vivian unlimbers what looks like a miniaturized Valkryie Gunpod and opens fire as well.

The effect of your combined barrage is immediate and catastrophic-the Siegfried shakes and begins to explode. At the same time, the Vivian rushes forward and slams its hand into the crumbling Knight Giga Fortress before withdrawing its arm, now holding V.V. The Vivian squeezes its fingers, and V.V. grimaces in pain.

"How does it feel to be on the receiving end for once?" Marianne asks rhetorically.

Marianne proceeds to knead and crush V.V. for a few more seconds, V.V. unable to respond due to a combination of sheer agony and his respiratory system being crushed before she tosses him back into the base below.

"V.V.! We're not done yet!" You yell as you take the Shinkiro down to follow him.

As you go down, the Vivian makes to follow, only for the Hyaku Shiki and GM III on Base Jabbers to point their beam rifles at it, stopping mother from following you in.

V.V. lands, hard, on the bottom floor of the base, down near the most important part of the facility.

His immortality reasserts itself as his youthful body painfully, slowly, mends itself while he drags himself toward a pair of doors marked with the sigil of Geass.

The doors open to reveal Emperor Charles himself, looking very displeased.

"I'm glad you came, Charles. I guess siblings are the only ones you can rely in the end, huh?" V.V. says, wincing in pain as every syllable places strain on his mending diaphragm.

"Big brother, were you the one who caused Lelouch to lose control of his Geass?" Charles asks.

"So I did." V.V. admits.

Charles sighs in disappointment.

"You lied to me again, brother. This shall be the last time this happens." Charles holds up his hand toward V.V.

V.V. gasps as he feels his immortality leave him, his injuries no longer healing on their own.

At that moment, the Shinkiro bursts into the chamber, followed by Cornelia's custom Gloucester and the Wing Zero.

A flash of light emits from behind the doors.

"Damn it! This is similar to what I experienced near Kamine Island!" Lelouch exclaims as everything goes white.

Lelouch, Cornelia, and Heero suddenly find themselves standing at the feet of their respective mobile weapons. They are on a trio of floating platforms in a space that looks like it's in perpetual sunset, clouds as far as the eye can see.

"When did I get out of the Shinkiro? And where am I? This doesn't seem to be hologram, and given the presence of Cornelia and Heero, I doubt this is a hallucination..." Lelouch says as he looks around.

"Correct!" Charles booms. "Knightmares and mobile suits are such inelegant things. Especially in the face of this system: the Sword of Akasha!"

"You..!" Lelouch exclaims while Cornelia starts in recognition.

"Lelouch, my son! The time has come at last, for redemption!" Charles yells.

A/N: No vote this time. Next part is likely to come at some point tomorrow, so look forward to that. Please vote, discuss, and critique!

So how was the other scenario (colony + Kallen vs V.V. and Marianne vs rolo) going to go down?

Mostly asking cause this really just smells like secret unit Lost.

On the other hand Nice battles fast paced and seems we are already fighting Charles right now too.

Also surprised that Marianne is seeing reason, especially with that Big flaw in instrumentality.

Like thing like that would be the perfect target for the invaders for example.

Now if Gendo and SELEE had working brains.

If you had gone the other way, Marianne would have stomped Rolo, and Lelouch and co would have dealt with V.V. by just spamming the Twin Buster Rifle on the Siegfried. No secret unit lost here.

I mean, this seems more to me like secret unit get, Marianne. Or at least, the start of the route to get her. I'm something of a sucker for a redemption arc here, and Marianne seems to have gotten a decent amount of character development out of the way already.

I'm excited to see what happens next, what effect Heero and Cornelia have on this Sword of Akasha confrontation.

Which is also happening earlier than I expected.

Interesting. So Marianne has rejected the World Without Lies based on the very legitimate question of 'what if some alien asshole shows up'. This opens quite a wealth of options. And oh boy, a confrontation in Cs world with Cornelia AND Heero as well? What fun.

Well, time to see how things go from here... Also, it looks like NUNS was trying to research KMFs for quite some time, given that they went through the effort to obtain the blueprint for the Ganymede. Were they trying to make transformation tech compatible with units other than the VFs? Did they consider that they needed to have access to some KMF models just in case they needed them? Perhaps we shall see in the future. And it seems like Marianne was honest about wanting to abandon Charles' plans, even if one of her reasons for doing so is more rooted in a pragmatical concern (aka what do we do regarding anyone avoids being part of an Instrumentality-esque event but is still able to interfere with the world post Ragnarok), rather than moral ones.

Looks like we'll have to ride herd on Schneizel as well it seems... (that's the reason why, on some more reflection, I've realized that Code Geass plot might not be resolved with the Siege of the Geass Order and that we might need to actually invade Britannia itself to end the Code Geass plot and get closer to ending the Civil War)

Turn 13: World of C
February UE 0084
?????????

You are Lelouch, and you find yourself in an incredibly surreal situation.

You, your half-sister Cornelia, and Heero Yuy seem to have been teleported into some kind of...extradimensional space.

Your father is currently gloating as you and your compatriots hide behind the legs of your mobile weapons.

Knowing the dangers of both your own Geass and that of your father's, you signal to Cornelia and Heero to close their eyes before pulling out a remote control stick and hitting the button.

A modified chaff capsule is shot out of the Shinkiro, and detonates into countless reflective panels which fall all around you. You grab and stare into the first panel to enter arm's reach.

"Lelouch vi Britannia commands you...die!" You yell.

At first you think your gambit failed, but then your father pulls out a pistol and points it at his own chest.

"Very well." Charles says before pulling the trigger.

You cautiously glance over before gingerly making your way over to Charles' body, Cornelia and Heero joining you.

"You killed father?" Cornelia asks.

"It seems so. It was far too easy, and unsatisfactory. There are many questions we needed to ask him, and so many people I wanted to make him apologize to." You say.

"Oh? To whom?" You father's voice suddenly booms. "You're an impudent child, Lelouch!"

All three of you glance down at Charles in alarm, who stirs and stands up.

"You're alive? Impossible! You shot your own heart!" You exclaim.

"Schemes, plots, surprise attacks...you really thought to defeat me with such parlor tricks? Come at me as a true king would! With the power of the king!" Charles taunts.

"Die!" You yell, your Geass lashing out Charles.

Your father laughs.

"You call that the path of royalty?!" He bellows.

"My Geass isn't working?!" You exclaim.

As Cornelia draws her saber, you dive for the pistol that Charles dropped when he shot himself. You and Heero fire on Charles at the same time, Cornelia moving in to stab him in the gut when the two of you stop shooting.

"Don't you understand, Lelouch? I am beyond the power of guns or swords now! Whatever you attempt to defeat me with will be useless!" Charles declares as he takes off his right glove and shows you his palm, the sigil of Geass on it.

"No...!" You recoil in horror.

Charles grabs you by the neck and throws you back toward the Shinkiro.

He's become immortal now? I can't win! There's no way I can win like this! You despair as you lie flat on your back.

"Father! Stop this madness!" Cornelia yells as she and Heero attack Charles again.

"What madness do you speak of, my daughter? The way I see it, the world has gone mad, and this is the only way to stop it!" Charles yells as he punches Cornelia in the abdomen.

Cornelia doubles over in pain, one arm clutching her abdomen, the other holding her saber so she can lean on it for support.

Heero leaps onto Charles' back, grabs him by the head, and twists in an attempt to break his neck.

Charles scoffs before yanking Heero off his back and hurling him into one of the nearby pillars.

Heero slams into the pillar and falls to the floor. He shakily stands up, leaning against the pillar for support.

"Now that the distractions are out of the way for the moment, allow me to show you the true nature of this world!" Charles says as a podium rises from the floor next to him. He presses a button, and you are suddenly engulfed by a multicolored light.

When the light fades, you are surrounded by numerous white and red masks.

Geass Order HQ interior

"What the hell happened?" Duo asks as he and the rest of the attack force survey the deepest level of the facility.

"I don't know. I saw Zero and Cornelia's Knightmare along with the Wing Zero go into that chamber. There was a flash of light, and when I went to investigate, they weren't there anymore!" A Black Knight pilot explains.

"Lemme see!" Tamaki cranes his neck as he enters the chamber and takes a look around.

"Anything?" Quatre asks.

"Looks like a shitty throne room. Pretty freaky door at the back though." Tamaki says.

At that moment, the Lancelot Frontier arrives.

"What's going on?" C.C. asks.

"Zero, Cornelia, and Heero are MIA. Last known location was this chamber." A Titans pilot explains.

C.C. glances into the chamber and sees the door at the back.

"Oh dear." She sighs.

At that moment, the door opens a crack, and multicolored light shines through.

"Get back!" C.C. yells as she pushes Tamaki's Akatsuki away.

Everyone is momentarily blinded by the light, and when it fades, the Lancelot Frontier is gone.

"Break that fucking door down!" Duo yells as he brandishes his Gundam's beam scythe and attempts to cut the door open.

It bounces off.

The Heavyarms Custom steps forward and unleashes a salvo of bullets and missiles. When the smoke clears, the door doesn't show any signs of damage.

"What the hell is this?!" Kallen says.

"Ah! So glad you could join us, C.C." Charles says.

"You didn't really give me much of a choice." C.C. retorts.

For the past few minutes, masked doppelgangers of you have been bombarding you with philosophical questions. Cornelia and Heero appear next to you, and judging by the looks on their faces, something similar happened to them.

"Now, shall I grant you your wish, C.C.?" Charles asks.

"WHAT?! You know C.C.'s wish?" You say in disbelief.

C.C. looks at you with an apologetic, mournful smile.

"I suppose there's no point in hiding it now. My wish...is to die." She says.

"But...why?" You say in confusion.

"When a Geass enters its final stage, the user attains the position of the one who granted them that power. In other words, you gain the power to kill me." C.C. explains.

"No one I ever made a contract with was able to reach that point. But now Charles has." C.C. continues.

"But...why did you make your contract with me just so you could die?" You ask.

"Would we be able to acknowledge life without death?" C.C. asks.

"Semantics." Heero speaks up.

"Even so, people still die." C.C. says.

"Yes, but...living just to die seems so...sad." Cornelia interjects.

"Can endless accumulation of life without death be called a life?" C.C. counters before turning back to you.

"If you have a reason to live, then kill me. You will become Charles' equal, and gain the will to fight."

You stare at C.C., your left eye blazing with the sigil of Geass, but do nothing.

C.C. smiles mournfully again.

"You're too kindhearted, Lelouch. I truly did treasure our time together." She says sadly.

A pedestal emerges from the ground and she presses a button.

You fall into a void, Cornelia and Heero diving in after you.

When the world around you becomes coherent again, you find that you're all standing.

"Are you alright, Lelouch?" Cornelia asks as she checks you for injuries.

"I'm fine. Where are we?" You ask.

Heero takes a look around.

"It doesn't seem like we're back in the real world, judging by the colors." He says.

You look around yourself, and see a rural countryside. At the sight of a cobblestone fence, you raise an eyebrow.

Your attention is caught by a young girl in ragged clothes stumbling along the dirt road you're all on. She starts to fall, and you make to catch her, but she goes right through you.

"What the-?"

"It's no use. These are my memories, so you can't interfere with them." C.C.'s voice rings out.

The three of you turn to see an apparition of C.C.

"Who are you?" She asks.

Before you can respond, you hear something else.

"Do have a reason to live?" A woman's voice asks.

The three of you turn to see that you're now in the interior of a medieval church, a nun kneeling in front of what you realize is a younger, badly injured C.C.

"I...I don't know. But I don't want to die!" The young C.C. says.

"Then let's make a contract with each other. I will grant you the power to survive, and in return, will you grant me my one wish someday?" The nun asks as she lifts up the hood of her habit, revealing the sigil of Geass on her forehead.

"Is this-?" You say rhetorically.

"Yes. I made a contract with her." The apparition of C.C. says.

There is a flash of white light, and after it clears, you see a series of oil paintings depicting scenes from the young C.C.'s life.

"The Geass I was granted gave me the ability to make people love me." C.C.'s apparition explains.

"Love?" Heero asks with a raised eyebrow.

"Deep in my heart, all I ever wanted was to be loved by someone. My wish was granted, and thanks to my Geass, I was loved by everyone." C.C.'s apparition says.

Cornelia winces as a series of paintings depicting C.C. being adored or otherwise the center of attention flash by.

"True, unconditional love can't be...induced." Cornelia says.

C.C.'s apparition nods in agreement.

"Indeed. I was loved too much, and as a result, I forgot what true love really was. The only person I believed in was the nun who took me in, because my Geass didn't affect her." She says.

A particular painting stops in front of your group. The scene comes to life and plays out as best as C.C. can remember it.

It's in the church again, and C.C. emerges from a bathtub, naked, her long hair the only thing preserving her modesty.

"Right, right, I gave back all the gifts, like you told me to." Young C.C. says as she sits down. "But it can't be helped, can it? It's the Geass's fault."

C.C. opens her eyes, and you wince when you see the sigil of Geass in both of her eyes.

"I'm grateful to you, Sister, but to be honest, this is a pain for me too. I'm tired of all the presents and proposals, and some people even want to start a religion centered around me!" Young C.C. gripes.

"Then shall we end this?" The nun asks.

Young C.C. makes a noise of confusion.

"I have to have someone take my place so that my eternity can finally end. Someone with a Geass beyond a certain level of power. Have you any idea how difficult it's been!? The hell of living on and on?!" The nun rants, her tone starting to become more unhinged.

"Um, what are you talking about?" Young C.C. asks in confusion.

"I'm sorry dear! I'm afraid I tricked you!" The nun says, a look of madness on her face.

There's a flash of red, and the next thing you see is a traumatized looking C.C., still naked but now covered in blood from attempts to kill herself. The nun from earlier is on her back, a pool of blood around her head and a serene look on her face.

"In the end, I was merely a tool to end her own life." C.C. laments.

She turns toward the three of you.

"I now realize that none of you are in here. You're not from my past. You're all real people, aren't you?"

"As far we know, yes." Heero deadpans.

C.C.'s apparition looks at you.

"I wonder if you're important to me." She wonders out loud.

"I doubt it." You scoff.

"Oh? The fact you were sent here means I was trying to save you from something." C.C. says.

As the three of you process the implication of that statement, there's another flash of white.

You find yourself back in the cockpit of the Shinkiro. You suddenly have an ephiphany.

"Now I understand! This space is a system for disrupting thought!" You explain to Cornelia and Heero.

Before any of you can do anything to capitalize on this revelation, all of your mobile weapons are boxed in by miniature white pyramids.

"Lelouch and his friends, sit where you are and watch!" Charles declares as he grabs C.C.

"Answer me C.C.!" You yell using the Shinkiro's external speakers. "Why didn't you try to die by making me take your place? You could have forced me to accept the hell of eternal life! Did you pity me, C.C.!?"

"There are many who would relish the opportunities that eternal life would grant them." Cornelia points out.

C.C.'s eyes glance over to the Shinkiro, and tears start to come out of her eyes.

"Don't die looking like that! When death comes, die smiling! I promise, I'll make you smile with whatever time we have, so please!" You beg.

C.C. seems to come to a decision as she pushes Charles away and runs over to a pedestal that emerges from the floor. She presses a button, and the Shinkiro, Cornelia's Gloucester, and Wing Zero are freed.

"What are you doing, C.C.?!" Charles bellows in rage.

"You think I'll let you steal anything else from me?!" You yell as you level the Shinkiro's Hadron blasters and fire.

Cornelia fires her Gloucester's bazookas, and Heero levels the Wing Zero's Buster Rifles at the surrounding platform.

"Does your foolishness know no bounds?!" Charles yells as the platform crumbles.

Cornelia's Glocester grabs onto Wing Zero's left arm while you dive after the falling C.C., opening up the Shinkiro's cockpit.

"I know now, C.C.! What your Geass was, and what your true wish is!" You yell.

"Come on, turn toward me!" You reach out and grab her by the arm, yanking her into the cockpit.

With the use of the Druid and ZERO Systems, you all manage to escape the crumbling extradimensional space.

"Holy shit, they're back!" Tamaki says as the Shinkiro, Wing Zero, and Cornelia's Gloucester emerge back into realspace.

Cornelia's Gloucester hops off of Wing Zero's arm back onto the ground before Cornelia herself emerges. Marrybell exits the Lancelot Trial and runs forward, engulfing Cornelia in a hug.

"What happened?" Marrybell asks.

"It's...complicated." Cornelia says hesitantly.

"Dude, are you okay?" Duo asks Heero.

"I'm fine. We should probably take a break after this though." Heero says.

"You're normally not one to find an excuse to slack off. Did what happened inside truly shake you to your core?" Wufei asks.

"...I'll let what I was able to record speak for itself." Heero responds curtly.

The Sandrock Custom elbows the Altron Gundam.

Lelouch emerges from the Shinkiro carrying an unconscious C.C.

"C.C., wake up! We're back!" He says, shaking her awake.

C.C. opens her eyes, only to react unexpectedly-her eyes quiver in fear and she crawls away backwards from Lelouch.

"Um, who are you, sir?" She asks.

Everyone in earshot turns and looks in shock.

"What are you talking about? Anyway, about the Emperor and that system-" Lelouch is interrupted by C.C. again.

"Are you my new master? I can prepare food for cooking, and clean. I can fetch water and tend cows and sheep, and sew. I can read a little and count to twenty. I...I can also handle corpses, if you wish..." C.C. continues to rattle off mundane skills in an attempt to 'appeal' to Lelouch, who can only look on in horror.

Kallen runs forward and embraces C.C., who yelps in surprise, but returns the hug in confusion.

Sanc Kingdom

Euphemia li Britannia looks over the proposal for a humanitarian aid package the International Reformation Committee is planning to send to aid the refugees who fled Orb and sighs.

So much death and destruction. Is there nothing more that we can do but staunch the bleeding of civilian lives caught in the crossfire? She silently laments.

A knock on the door gets her attention, and the ECOAS plainclothes agent who serves as her security takes a look through the peephole before opening it.

"Your highness." An ECOAS agent says respectfully, followed by an OZ officer.

"How can I help you gentlemen?" Euphemia asks.

"One Nina Einstein requested that she be brought before you. She claims to have escaped captivity from a Britannian research facility, and further says that she has vital intelligence she will only entrust to you." The ECOAS agent explains.

"Well, I see no reason not to deny her. Bring her in." Euphemia says.

The ECOAS agent gestures to someone in the hall, and a few seconds later, a pair of ECOAS agents escort Nina Einstein into the room.

"Th-Thank you taking the time to see me, Princess Euphemia!" Nina stutters.

"It's no trouble. You said that you wished to speak to me about something urgent?" Euphemia asks.

"I-It was horrible! I was kidnapped from Ashford Academy and brought to an old nuclear testing facility in the Britannian homeland. They...they forced me to work on a weapon of mass destruction!" Nina sobs.

"Deep breathes, dear." Euphemia says as she puts her hands on Nina's shoulders to calm her down. "What exactly is this new weapon?"

"I-It's called...F.L.E.I.J.A." Nina says with dread.

What is to be done about the entrance to the Thought Elevator? It cannot be destroyed with what is available on hand.

Please, knowing the Order and Chuckles they got 5 other contingency plans in the works. We need time to sift through all their crap so we can figure out a counter. And fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck, Schnitzel has FLEIJA. Well, on the bright side, we can probably point it at the Council. Wonder what would happen if we stuck one onto a Reaction warhead...

So, how should we slow any attempts at recapture?

Unless we can layer the inside with enough explosives to turn it into Ultimate Difficulty Minesweeper, collapsing the place seems like it would only lengthen the work necessary to get it running, without any real monitoring to keep us informed, while Guarding it runs the risk of a forceful recapture of it fully functional, but we could send reinforcements quicker.

Look, it's unprecedented tool to fuck around people who had no regard to other's mental autonomy.

And chu-chu can get out through other door of Thought Elevator

This thing is to dangerous to be left alone, and closing it off makes it harder for it to be used in the future.
