-[X] Interrogation: Welp, now's a decent time as any to give the genin a crash course in interrogation. And for Sasuke to learn the nitty gritty of how to care for a prisoner. Include the Yakumo's genjutsu expertise for this.

You took a breath. "Kids, we are moving the man here to a safer location." You said as you looked at the Chunin that was currently bleeding on the ground, struggling to stay alive. "We have little time to extract information from him."

Sasuke did a small examination of the man who you picked up, and slug over your shoulder. "Sensei, he's not going to last that long. His main arteries have been punctured, and the only reason he hasn't bled out is because he has wood preventing the bleeding from getting any worse. Moving him will-"

"Sasuke. I know." You stated coldly. That made the kids all freeze in fear. "I'm sorry but we need to get someplace to have an interrogation."

"We don't have any safe place to interrogate him, we're in enemy territory." Naruto stated as he looked over a blood-stained map that he pulled from a body.

Karin then raised her voice. "I know a safe place, it's a cave a mile away. Off of all the beaten paths. No one from the village knows where it is."

You raised an eyebrow. "And how do you know?"

"It's where I go when I want to be alone, no one follows me there," Karin replied, trying to look away from the body that was now unconscious in your arms. "You don't have much time. Let me heal him while we move."

Sasuke protested. "I can heal him-"

"Not with what little knowledge you have. I've been practicing medical ninjutsu for years." She said. "Now please Yamato, let me help you."

You nodded. "Karin, help me prepare the interrogation at that cave. Kids" You looked to Sasuke and Yakumo. "Destroy the bodies. Naruto." You turned to Naruto, who was deep in thought, looking at the map. "Naruto!"

"Yeah?" He asked.

"Make clones of the team, Move in all directions. Throw off the scent. Follow me after."

Naruto nodded, but he was looking at the corpses that Yakumo and Sasuke were gathering. "Are you-"

"Now." You said as you began to move, following Karin as she began to channel chakra, and the superficial cuts began to heal.

It was less than an hour later when you looked at the Chunin, and he was looking slightly better. He was bandaged up, the main damage to his arteries was healed… and well was barely alive and stabilized. How long he would remain that way, would remain to be seen.

You still wondered how Karin biting someone would heal them, but you were not going to judge strange techniques from a foreign power. They could be useful.

"You did good work, Karin." You said. "He might survive the night."

"Thanks. No one else thinks that." She said with a sigh. "Everyone always says that Scary Karin needs to calm down, to stay away from them or she'll blow them up!" She sighed as she looked at the entrance to the cave. "I haven't lost anyone yet."

"Something tells me that you aren't very popular at your home?" You asked.

"Mom is in charge of making explosives for the village. Everyone thinks that's all we're good for. Blowing shit up, and not caring. With a smile on our face." She sat down.

"And you don't think that?"

"I've only known Grass, but all they think about is that we aren't Grass nin. We're just people who fled and nearly died and were kidnapped looking for a new home. That's what mom said. This isn't our home… not a true one. We're just prisoners in a gilded cage."

"And yet you still fight for it?" You asked.

"What choice do I have? I didn't join the ninja for fun, they were going to sell me off to some clan and use me as breeding stock. Like my grandma was. She didn't even have any kids… but those births killed her." She took a breath. "That's why mom makes explosives and I'm out here. The Alternative isn't that great."

Considering she was an Uzumaki… that was… well smart. "Do you have anyone you care about in the village?"

"Not many… and those are just the friends I made… the ones who are dead." She replied.

A moment later, the rest of Team 3 appeared, and he looked at you and Karin. "You're weird."

"How so?" You asked.

"You're hostile nin from a foreign country, but you listen to people. Even when they are supposed to be enemies?"

You smiled, a sad one from a lifetime of not being able to. "I've learned that, in the end, we are all not so different. Just that circumstances make us different. I've learned that, if I am not going to make you my enemy, I will do my hardest to make you my friend. Besides, what's a little attempted murder between friends?"

"Are we missing something?" Hanzo said as Yakumo sat down.

"Later." You said. "Sasuke, I need you to keep our friend stabilized with Karin. Yakumo, you and Hanzo need to place our friend into a bubble genjutsu with me in it. We need time."

"How much time? I don't know any Time distortion jutsu?" She asked.

"Just enough so that he won't die from shock." You said.

"How do I know to do that?" She asked.

"Hanzo can possibly help you." You asked. "Wait, Hanzo, is that possible?"

"Maybe. I've never done anything like that before. I know it's possible, Ayako has done it before, but that was decades ago." Hanzo stated

"Try it." You said as you sat down. "Will you be able to have everyone see it Hanzo?"

"Maybe? Again, I don't know if it's possible without that that genjutu's knowladge."

"What about sending all of us in there at the same time, while you and Yakumo keep us safe?" You asked.

There was a pause, before Yakumo nodded. "We can do that."

"Good. Kids get ready." You ordered."

It was a white void, devoid of anything, save for you and your team, and Karin, sans Yakumo and Hanzo.

Your prisoner was finally coming too, but bound in such a way he could only scream. "WHAT THE HELL!"

He began to hyperventilate but Sasuke and Karin held him down, to prevent him from doing anything to hurt himself. "Yeah, I'm goign to be honest, I didn't know a Kurama could do that?"

Karin was shaking. "Yeah, like this place is so weird."

Naruto, however, only looked out in the distance. "Is that the fox?"

And indeed in the distance, behind a humungous cage… was the Nine Tails. "Hm… this is unexpected?" The Fox boomed. "Well now… Still sealed away, but all can see me?"

You took a moment to gather yourself. "Let's ignore that elephant in the room… or rather Fox and the void… and get down to brass taxes."

You looked at the prisoner. "Well now, we are going to ask a few questions. Hopefully, you can answer them."

The Prisoner was just looking back and trying to look at the fox. "You have a Juncuuriki with you." He muttered.

"How much do you know?" You asked.

"About what?" The prisoner seemed terrified.

"About the package my team is carrying?" You asked.

"What package? I was just told we were hunting down decoy runners trying to get to the Land of Iron from Konoha. All they said to me is that stopping that package would stop a war?"

He was telling the truth and you pinched the bridge of your nose. Dammit. "Kids, sometimes, our enemy has no answers for us, and triyng to ask that question is pointless. So ask another."

You turned to face your prisoner. "Who are the current big names in your nation's bingo book? For Konoha at least."

"Sarutobi Asuma, Kakashi Hatake, uh… Might Gai, and some Anbu agent we have no identity for."

"Be a bit more specific darling, the mask." You asked.

"I don't know, an otter or something… or wolf or fox?"

That was you. You smiled. "Excellent. Sometimes kids a partial answer is better than none at all."

"Who is your leader?" You asked.

"Ōnoki." He said.

You frowned. "Seriously? Not even a member of your jounin council?"

"Hey, you've got me tied up. And he is my leader." He stated.

"What about your team leader?"

"He's dead, he doesn't matter."

Good point. "I'm trying to teach my kids to get a good interrogation, could you at least help me with that?"

"Why, you're going to kill me anyway." He said.

"Well that depends on the answers we get, and right now, it's not looking good."

"Was there a greater goal here than to kill some foreign ninja for your side?" you asked.

"Oh that… Well if you must know, we're trying to prevent an alliance with Lighting, Sand, and Konoha that would isolate us diplomatically in a way that we've never been able to have before."

That earned a smile. "Ah, so that's why there are people trying to kill us. We're carrying a message that could single-handedly disrupt the balance of power in the world." You then turned to the kids. "See this is the type of information that can save lives, more importantly, our lives." You face the prisoner again. "Why are you so forthcoming with this little tidbit?"

"Because Lighting wants to stop this alliance because A apparently wasn't involved in that decision-making, it was all B and his advisors."

That earned an eyebrow raise. "How do you know this?"

"Stone has had a man on the inside of almost every nation since the last war, giving information to us so that we can be diplomatically ready for all inevitabilities."

You frowned. That was bad. Very very bad. "Flippant with that information when your enemies are getting this intel."

The Prisoner smiled. "You're not going to make to iron my friend, it won't matter what I say, you'll all be dead."

You then had an idea… a devious one that would fill you with great joy if true.

"Does the name Danzo mean anything to you?"

Paleness was all you could see. "Oh fuck, don't tell me you work for that asshole?!"

"I have." You smiled, as you looked at him with a grin. "Don't tell me you work for him too."

"Avoid at all costs Root and all members of it, no one survives, and no one ever knows what is going on. It's a total black hole. Nothing survives that, no one knows anything, no one sees anything. Even our man can't even touch Root…"

Sasuke then asked. "What is ROOT?"

"A story for another time kids. Now we have the information we need."

"Are we going to kill him?" Naruto asked.

"Yakumo, let him live, we're done here." You ordered. "Today is your lucky day. I hope Ōnoki is merciful to failure." You smiled.

As the Genjutsu closed, the Fox grinned. "Finally some entertainment. I haven't had this much fun since-"

"Mom I'm home." Karin said, kicking off her sandals.

Getting into Grass wasn't supposed to be this easy. For Gods sake, the guards looked at you once, than looked at Karin, and assumed you were POW's or defectors

Which honestly, given Grasses' casualty rates, might have been appropriate. But this was absurd! They just said, welcome to Grass!

"I heard more footsteps, did you take prisoners?" Her mother asked from the kitchen.

This nation was run by goddamn idiots!

"Worse, mom, foreign house guests, and someone who claims to be our relative." Karin replied.

"Do I need the sword to cut a bitch?" She asked.

"No, we're fine, they're just staying the night for dinner and laundry." She said. "Though I have to ask, does a Kushina Uzumaki ring a bell in the family tree?"
