Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

exchange for Winter's resources (if our realm lacks any), and alliances.
Lack can be a fuzzy word. Our Realm has been self sustaining for thousands/millions of years so clearly they don't lack anything they can't do without. However it is amazing what you can discover you desperately need when you learn that it exists.

The Columbian exchange is maybe one of the biggest examples of that. Coffee is a less extensive, but potent example.

Seconded!

We could save the franchise from the 5th and 6th editions. Some money to hire consistent writers and we could have a real gem. Once everything is on the right track, we could even introduce a version of the FCF as a Metaplane or, if we tie in Earthdawn as well, a Netherworld.
Technically speaking this counts as writing an SI on Molly's part, not that I expect many people to call a living planet on it. Really a sapient celestial body* with attendant civilization showing up to see if anyone wants to do business sounds like a Shadowrun thing anyway.

* Incidentally, I'm hoping we have a few misunderstandings about what exalts are before we get it right. "So they're solars because they turn into stars right?" Would be a pretty hilarious line to throw to someone with lore from the age of legends.

Is this the part where someone tries to talk us into invading all of reality for its own good? :V

That would make for an interesting casus belli for invading everything if nothing else "your same lifestyle, but death is optional now" is a hard position to argue against.
Only takes a 4 dots charm and 10 human sacrifices. After that taking over the earth is just a matter of time.

It is certainly one way to bring about the 6th age.

Missing n.

We could, in principle, use it as a nucleus for our media empire. Take shadowrun, "real it up" bit by bit with lore and mechanics kd magic, add in some movies/ cartoons made using our studio... Yeah, it could work.
Daniel is not a circle mate and won't be.
Just keep in mind that a few enhancements and a martial art won't make him capable of surviving between a Naagloshii, an ancient Rampire and a dozen less ancient ones.

I have a design for a warform that would make Daniel competitive. And Olivia could work, especially if we boost her draksha ancestry.

I should note that they don't even need to fight on that level as long as they are competent in their own niche and can deal with more rank and file threats. Molly is already running into a problem where she doesn't have enough time to do everything. Having people she trusts is probably more important than to have people that can wreck face.

EDIT: Also, there are very few people that couldn't be taken out by combination of stealth and explosives.

Gutting the mechanics of an established franchise is probably not the best way to keep the community engaged with it.

It's make more sense to launch it as its own thing, then release crossover modules in what would look like a corporate attention grab for a new property.

We'd just have to be good enough to get ahead of that rep.

He's probably going to be operating alongside our ghouls most likely... which isn't a particularly damning indictment. We may be the one beating on inconvenient gods like we were their alcoholic stepfather but actually running things, handling things on a day-to-day level, is going to be the responsibility of people like our brother. He's going to be a damn important person who has multitudes of lives and livelihoods as a part of his responsibilities when he grows up, I'm sure.

I'm just hoping he doesn't forego noncombat skills. You need to know how to fight is a world where things go bump in the night but it won't be the majority of what you do. Still, if the choice was putting a little polish on combat or else falling deeper into ennui and listless melancholy its still pretty clear cut.

Edit:

So how do we want to meet the delegation anyway?

I'm highly tempted by a full Shintai weather control display follow by a dinner where each city gets to show off a course*. That seems like the kind of thing that might spiral though, given how the local religion works.

Did any traditional diplomatic practices get added in to the original build?

* It'd also be funny if we could hold an Ancient Greek style opening game, where each city had an event to honor them we can force Harry invite the council to participate in.

Sweaty naked dudes wrestling under the sun, olive oil provided. I can see why that is Molly's first instinct.
… I didn't think about that aspect, more that it'd be funny to see Dresden pull vault. That said, Molly is a teenager.
Sun not included. Why does everyone keep forgeting that our kingdom doesn't have a sun?
The shiny lighting circle that may or may not be a single colony organism is close enough.

Bring-your-own-sun. That is probably within the capabilities of some of the potential participants.

Though Dresden is goddamn huge and pole vaulting is traditionally for people a wee bit lighter than him. Most people are looking Harry square in the chest hair, his being a 6'9" ingot of a man. When he comes down you would be able to detect it on seismographs.

Hey I know it's been linked a bunch but can someone please provide me with Holden's crafting rules I've been trying to find it with Google for a while and had no luck.
