I went with the choice for physical growth because developmentally speaking, puberty is the single best time to gain physical prowess, while mental acuity actually grows best before and after, and those mental disciplines which need better reasoning get easier as you approach 25.

I'm very sad to pass up on League of Assassin shenanigans but the lure of mentor Riddler is too strong.

I'm also hopeful for Kathy to become the brawn to Bruce's brain.

Edit: changed vote, League has too much good shit for me to want to leave it on the table. Ra's, Talia, potentially meet Lady Shiva by association.

Fair enough. And it occurs to me that if we want to be able to deal with the League of Shadows or Lady Shiva or the like later on, we'll need at least some martial arts training under our belt or we're going to have a serious problem.

Mercy definitely feels the best. Batman is at his best when he shows kindness to people. It's his humanity hidden beneath a gruff exterior that makes him so compelling. He'll reach a hand out to practically anyone.

It's really tempting to me because I love the idea of Bruce working closely with Harvey Dent to track down mob money and shady organizations. I feel like it'd be such a powerful combination to really build a close professional tie between them in Bruce's civilian side, rather than as Batman.

That said, magic is so tempting.

Yeah like, combat training, forensics and magic? All of them are tempting, and they present such interesting plot points. I honestly don't have a preference simply because they're all interesting. And I gotta agree, Batman's the most compelling, at least to me, when he's willing to offer a hand or have a quiet moment with a supposed foe.

And yeah, I did figure Polyamory options would, if at all, be restricted to later in the quest cause teenagers ain't mature enough for it, even if Bruce had such leanings.

Plus this also gives Bruce a reason to stand up for LGBT rights when that becomes more relevant after the war.

Super curious what a Batman who's willing to occasionally kill, or just let a sort of mob justice occur would play like. I find it an interesting angle to take the character.
Also Riddler tutor is soooo good. Genuinely a genius idea for the Bruce-Edward character dynamic. Also could imagine the emotions if they ever become rivals in the future.

Bat/Cat OTP, sorry folks. (Also, making Tommy a jilted "lover" and giving Kathy/Kate room to maybe also be bi is kinda fun.)
Batman should be the person with the firmest no-kill rule.
And I like all the options but Forensic Accounting is a fun path because it can let us spot fuckery with Wayne Enterprises as well.
 
Batman not being able to kill the Joker is the point. Being forced to reckon with the fact that simply killing some individual guys won't fix Gotham's problems is the entire point. A Batman that's okay with killing guys even in extreme circumstances is a Batman that fails to capture what makes Batman interesting, imo.

also a batman that's been tutored by the actual Riddler is hilarious and i can't pass up that opportunity lmao

Protest approval vote on love because I think Batman with a high school sweetheart that inevitably ends poorly is a missed opportunity.

I'm going with Tommy just because it feels like it will add some interesting things to the story going he had it comming because I fell it will give batman some moral flexibility which I feel will be necessary because if we're going love crafting with the magic ohh boy buckle up and magic because i feel like lovecraft horror and batman just mesh
