[X] Be fair with the Sun (-1 WS Favorability w/ chance to reduce. Sun grumbling but satisfied enough.)
Easiest and most sensible route, imo, is Ling Qi's domain weapon. It's currently some kind of flute-dagger thing(it's been morphing shape some), but it was crafted from a chunk of solid darkness we fished out of Huisheng's pool, which he's vaguely referred to as his 'blood'. He managed to involuntarily yank it out of Ling Qi's dantian too, once.

Point is, our domain weapon is linked to Huisheng/is reflective of our initial (inadvertent) introduction to him. And Huisheng has horns, while also being representative of a number of Ling Qi's meditations on the history of the Emerald Seas, while also being a teacher contributing to the tools and philosophies carrying Ling Qi forward into the future she wishes to build.

Having the domain weapon's form change to a pair of solid shadow Weilu horns on her head would be fun and cute. It's not like she really stabs anyone with it these days; it's for empowering mists, etc.. It'd also be something that isn't out/obvious most of the time, only being revealed intentionally or when she's in full-serious fight mode. That element of at least temporary secrecy makes it all the more fun to play around with in the narrative, imo.

Edit: we also have additional huisheng gunk in a head meridian already, and I could easily see him pulling a "prank" in terms of nudging our domain weapon's continued evolution, shape-wise. There's a lot of material to work with there, basically.
My freshly woken up mind pictured getting Horns(musical instrument) on her head.

Specifically french horns for some reason

Diplomacy favor effects aside, I think being *fair* to the people we're dealing with suits Ling Qi more. Maybe honesty doesn't necessarily correlate to fairness, but I have a hard time seeing Ling Qi being anything other than fair to the people she diplomances with. Ling Qi operates from a position of good faith, as long as the other party doesn't go out of their way to antagonize her too much. And even then, she gives the benefit of the doubt.

She wouldn't have salvaged her bond with Ji Rong if that wasn't the case. Heck, even the interactions with the Cao man, she may have been manipulative in that she picked carefully what angles to push, but she has not been underhanded nor resorted to foul play for advantage. I believe that's why these adversarial, yet not entirely antagonic forces have grown to respect her.

I think Ling Qi should be wary of any schemes the Sun may pull, but she should still be fair to them on principle.

It's mildly grumpifying to me that we have to give Liling any kind of personal win just because she showed up and didnt try to kill anybody.

Its less Liling and more her Great Grandpa that needs to given some consideration.

The fact that if she had come and purposely killed someone, even a foreigner, she would have severly embaressed the Empire as a whole. This might not have levied sanctions on her by the Throne or her Grandpa, but it would have given the Bai a pretext to embaress her family and made King Sun look like even more of a duplicitous...snake.

Still it would have been messy and Liling has little to gain and a lot to lose by acting so unreasonably. She does gain a lot by just being present as we've seen.

Edit: So I was looking at the Formation stage of Green requirements. And for some reason I think that we've already fufilled it. Can someone tell me if we have or not? How well developed is our Domain compared to our relative peers (we have 49/60 concept levels in Foundation/Completion)?

"Please, if you notice any irregularity at all with your Uncle, find a way to inform me," Ling Qi asked.

His ever present smile dimmed, and he considered her seriously. "That verges improper, Ling Qi. You understand what you are saying."

She was essentially asking him to inform on a member of his clan, in however small a way. "There is something… complicated afoot here, Meng Dan. Something that could still ruin this whole work."

He frowned, and remained silent for a long moment. She considered that she might have pushed too far. "...I see, Uncle is eccentric, but if he is showing troubles… I will inform you, Lady Ling."
Qi is suggesting that if Deming is involved, that it be blamed on the liminal hate spores huh.

Which would be hugely embarassing for the Meng but superior to the alternative for everyine else

I'd love to push back, but after being so greedy on land ourselves i don't really see it as a viable option.

We still have to "Master a Personal Successor Art" and we haven't reached that point yet with Final Frost's Serenade.

Also, I'm really starting to like Meng Dan. Ling Qi flirting with him adds a huge amount to their dynamic that has often been missing thus far with her potential romantic dynamics.
