Can't we just research them first and have the meeting then?We haven't finished researching Dampener seals so can cut a little bit of word count
Definitely needs to be cut from the "w/o sealing" version.

Hey, rather than spending our time on RRB, why not use substitution seals to swap out the seals and instead use our research time for eking out some extra performance from RB?
Substitution requires an unobstructed line of sight due to just being fast movement IIRC. I'm not sure we can substitute seals out of pockets or out of shoes.Hey, rather than spending our time on RRB, why not use substitution seals to swap out the seals and instead use our research time for eking out some extra performance from RB?
Those are the rules for the technique, yes. Not so sure about the seal.Substitution requires an unobstructed line of sight due to just being fast movement IIRC. I'm not sure we can substitute seals out of pockets or out of shoes.
Ooh so you think UBER PUNCH RBs instead of RRB? Maybe something like variable strength of expulsion plus longer Impulse = multi taggable or multiple attacks (idea being turning being much much easier with variable acceleration)Hey, rather than spending our time on RRB, why not use substitution seals to swap out the seals and instead use our research time for eking out some extra performance from RB?
E: Oh, as an aside, once we get CATEARS, we can probably eke out a few spare TN from rocket boots by making them activated normally, which might get us an extra point of boost from them.
Done.Maybe add something like the following to the Approach section:
- Genuinely invite and consider Yuno's arguments.
Also done.I don't understand what this line is supposed to mean, nor what Velorien is supposed to do with it. Reconsidering in what way? Is he going to explain MARS to them since they don't know what it is? Would personally just cut this (I am not a voter of yours though, just my two cents)
D'oh!
That's brilliant and should have been obvious!
CATEARS-activated RBs don't need to be reusable. We can just stack a bunch on our feet and use CATEARS to activate them in descending order!
This implies that our out RRB unstagnation project should focus first on getting the biggest bonus, and have extra uses be an afterthought.
"Where do you think your blood comes from, Cannai?""What is there to expect from a bone?" Cannai asked. "It does little but provide marrow."
I still personally don't agree that we lied or mislead Yuno and don't like that framing (though not all of what came up in the plan made it in the chapter I suppose.) The rest of it is fine but I would personally frame it more as "to further clarify my position" etc etc. That's just my preferenceAlso done.
Any particular reason you're not interested in my plan?
What I mean to say is that we were not maximally honest/open/forthright, and, as she's family, we should have been straight with her the first time.

This is ignoring the fact that nonreusuable rocket boots require more labor on behalf of Hazo. It's a worthy investment to get reusuable rocket boots.
While it's true that CATEARS based RB usage would require us to scribe more seals, it would also provide us with bigger combat bonuses.
Given how rarely we end up in combat, and how easily we can make more seals, this is a great deal for us.
I was for the plan when it was voted in, but did not like how it was implemented dishonestly. That was due to a difference in opinion between the QMs and Players in how Hazō views Jashin which has since been resolved though, so I'm cautiously, optimistic that things could go better this time.
Why are we doing this? We aren't dedicating the kills to Jashin. Why not stay home? With Noburi, take a couple bandit clearing missions direct from Asuma.
This is not true: Shadow Clone credibly counts. It's a simpler narrative but they're definitely going to ask about the weird training stuff we do.
Do they not have access to the best available Rocket Boots? Are any of the aggrieved sealmasters who could use the dampeners?Distribute improved Rocket Boots, and Dampener seals (as applicable)
It's much easier to negotiate when your group contains a dozen Clan Bosses who consider failure to be an existential risk....We're going to have to negotiate passage through Cat for the Conclave, aren't we. Ugh.
So yeah I didn't view this as dishonest or deceptive. I don't think we deliberately withheld anything. Plan did call for saying Hazou doesn't really see Jashin as something worth reverence, moreso an ally of convenience but I don't recall if it was mentioned or notWhat I mean to say is that we were not maximally honest/open/forthright, and, as she's family, we should have been straight with her the first time.
I disagree! And I'll stay disagreeing. I guess it comes down to discrepancy in Hazou's perceived connection to Jashin, but a core component from the previous updates, when convincing Hidan about the life aspect stuff was that Hazou couldn't lie about it! Or Hidan would see through it. In that moment, Hazou legitimately expected that Jashin approved of his behavior. Now you can say Hazou doesn't actually CARE that Jashin approves but the yuno plan didn't say Hazou gives a shit about revering Jashin, quite the opposite.
In fairness it doesn't seem like the players had/have their minds made up either. I don't think anyone endorses actual worship, but the level of "willing to work with what we've got" seems to vary.I was for the plan when it was voted in, but did not like how it was implemented dishonestly. Hidan explicitly told us, you better meet your kill quota when I return. And I won't tell you how many so you don't do the bare minimum. We can't lie to him about this. Why are we doing this? We aren't dedicating the kills to Jashin. Why not stay home?
No it definitely doesn't! Hazou is not in control of whether or not they can get access to shadow clone. At best he can try and argue on their behalf, but it's absolutely not his fault or responsibility and not something he withheld from them. This is not true: Shadow Clone credibly counts. Dunno about the latter but Hazou literally just finished learning RB and his are much better than Kagome'sDo they not have access to the best available Rocket Boots? Are any of the aggrieved sealmasters who could use the dampeners?
Clarification: FOOM is a clan secret training technique Hazo did not share with them. If we tell them that we only held back diagnostic seals they're going to ask about our mysterious training sessions and I would like to have an answer specified. No it definitely doesn't! "Shadow Clone is a national secret. Sorry I can't tell you more." Pretty easy IMO. And I'd expect that they already know this. Shadow clone is publicly known, a la Naruto, but everyone also knows the particulars are need-to-know, and Hazou is a known SC user.Clarification: FOOM is a clan secret training technique Hazo did not share with them. (I'm working on doing this.)
