We can use our clones to research other seals. We should do that. Like force wall. it's literally a transparent barrier in it's own right and if we can modify it to be more manageable, it's everything Mari wants. Force Dome can stop people from leaving for example.

[X] Action Plan: Cannai! We Need to Cook

@acidshill I do have one more request, can we do a prep day to determine difficultly on CAPS and Med Robot Seals? (Links forthcoming)

Why does the Scroll Hunt have to include Hazou? I personally am not in favor of Hazou leaving Leaf to go hunting since he already has too little time on his hands.
We need to unstagnate eventually. Seems like a cool mission to do

can you clarify what exactly you want Hazō to try and what you expect to happen? (Re diamond thread)
Diamond thread created with ES should provide bristles that are much thinner than whatever they're using these days. Use the densifying ability of ES to make it more or less stiff to make a set of them, and hopefully it provides enough narrativium to become invokable for calligraphy rolls.

Force Walls are difficult jonin chunin seals, we likely need prep and SSA to do those safely.

I'll note that my plan, which even the wise @RandomOTP voted for despite leading the opposition, does not specify this and leaves the option open.

Is there anything I'd need to modify or add to get your vote? Same to @FaintlySorcerous, who I see is also voting for ROTP's similar plan.

This is going to be one long-ass plan... But yeah, I can do that if you suggest a wording that ensures the QMs will know what those words mean (because I don't).

I thought Hazō wasn't stagnant in combat. We need to get rid of the sealing stagnancy ASAP.

Take the request for cash out and we have a deal
Sure, my priority is the reputation protection anyway. It frees Hazou up to go do other stuff.

Give a minute, and then refresh your page?

Eh, I'm not completely married to Hazou, specifically. What about "A Goketsu-led Scroll Hunt?"

Can do to the wording, I'm on mobile at work, but will hunt down seals and suggest wording when I get home.

We'll be stagnant in combat as soon as we go over 13000 XP spent total. We're at like ~12850 rn.

Change the order so we ask for reputational assistance first.

This is fine.

Updated plan

[x] [Yamanaka]: Buying the Freedom to Act

Offer: Up to 3 days-worth of Goo Bombs. Less is fine, not more.

Request: Yamanaka will help squash the rumors about Hazou's Jashinism, and bolster the clan's reputation for a period of 4 months (defense against the Hag/rival clans, freeing Hazou to act elsewhere).
Request: Ino (or similarly powerful Yamanaka) comes on a Goketsu-led Scroll Hunt + forfeits their claim on anything found.

He's about two hundred experience from becoming combat stagnant, which is not nothing but it will fly by if we do any week long research plans. Even if he's not stagnant when we go do the mission, you can preemptively remove the stagnancy blocks which will give us more undisturbed time afterwards.

I will vote for literally any plan that has us finding out Sasha's preferred build and native Element, just ping me about it. If it is taken out later on to conserve wordcount, you will lose my vote.

Do you have an agenda you want to push? Here's your chance to earn at least once vote for it.
Boosting this.

I have several different build plans for Sasha, but I need to know her Element and build preferences to optimize them, accordingly.

Done.
[X] [Yamanaka] Good for the Yamanaka, Good for the Gōketsu
  • Gōketsu Offer
    • Up to a maximum of 300 full-strength Goo Bombs per month (3600 in total)
  • In exchange (sorted by Hazō's priority, top-to bottom) for the Yamanaka to:
    • Provide ongoing assistance improving Clan Gōketsu (and also Hazō specifically)'s reputation.
    • Have a senior Yamanaka (preferably Ino) accompany the Gōketsu on Scroll Hunting missions over the next year and give up all ownership claims on recovered scrolls.
    • Provide good ninjutsu to the Gōketsu Clan
      • We're not after their clan's prized secret techniques, but they surely have picked up some high-level techniques from deals or....observations that aren't exclusive to them but aren't so proliferated to be in the Private Library.
      • Ideally Nonelemental or Lightning Element, so that it's useable for most of the clan
    • Provide ongoing assistance on helping Clan Gōketsu maintain its OPSEC and dealing with leaks, if an issue ever arrises.

[X] Action Plan: Cannai! We Need to Cook
Word Count: <300
  • If Hazō thinks it necessary, wait for SSA consequences to wear off
    • Take steps to acquire chakra beast bones immediately
  • Cannai
    • We think we can do 3D sealing if we have infusable material
    • Ask for his help investigating the difference between chakra crystal and stone, and trying to make stone infusable
  • Work with a Crystal Release expert (Canain or someone else) to investigate the crystals they release and experiment with trying to make something infusable
  • Chakra beast bones
    • If they're readily available
      • See what it takes for Earthshaping to become able to manipulate them
      • Test them for infusibility
    • If not, experiment with them when we acquire them later
  • Noburi
    • Ask for his help trying to manipulate chakra to grow more chakra crystal
    • Attempt to earthshape rock while it it submerged in chakra water that Noburi is actively controlling
      • Correlate the feedback hazō gets from earthshaping with the feedback noburi gets from his jutsu
  • Attempt to make calligraphy brushes with earthshaped diamond thread
  • Find out what is Sasha's element and preferred build (offscreen?)
  • Set up a system which allows clan members to safely interrupt us during sealing research by using flags which we can check for when not in the middle of an infusion
  • Sealing
    • Protocol: Hazou-pilot's best judgement
    • Shadow Clone: Finish Minato Seal 7, then Minato Seal 8
    • Prime: Rocket Boots
    • Non-SSA SC researches Earth Pillar seal
    • Ask junior sealmasters to assess and identify Sarubetsu/Isan seals
@eaglejarl this plan, as-written, has a lot of individual scenes, with the intention that you can choose which parts to write and offscreen the rest—we mostly just want to know the results of these experiments. Is that acceptable to you?

Honestly, the main thing I want from the Yamanaka is the reputational defense against The Hagoromo rival Clans. Whether @_The_Bomb's trade plan wins, or mine does, I'm happy.
