    "—You know, life can be rather funny at times.

    So, stop me if you have read or watched something like this before: the Hero, the Protagonist – with Capital H and P – starts the story bored and unsatisfied with their lives; they want to be something more, they want to escape from the crushing expectations of society, they want to feel some adrenaline pumping in their veins... You know, that kind of thing.

    And, out of nowhere, they suddenly find themselves falling headfirst into whatever supernatural madness happens to find their way into their lives: either surviving some sort of assassination attempt by some psycho, saving someone who had long since resigned to their fate, finding some sort of connection between the supernatural and their family...

    That's how many stories begin, you know, a prologue!

    I have always felt... Interested in those protagonists: I have never once felt such compulsion to be more, to be different, to feel important.

    For me, I have always felt comfortable in my mundane, mediocre, ordinary life, and so, I could never really understand what kind of thought process might lead someone to get involved with things that are beyond common sense.

    ...I suppose that's how people are, you know? Most people are happy to live mundane lives, never having to deal with stuff like that, so I guess it's only logical that I would have a hard time understanding the 'why' of those characters, but...

    Ugh! Anyways, I suppose I shouldn't drag this on more than necessary, right? Right!

    You see, my prologue was... Well, I'm not narcissistic enough to think that it was unique, but I would like to think that it had some different flavour than most.

    Alright, so, let's begin with some context first.

    I would call myself a very normal person, but due to... Reasons (and yes I'll get down to it in a moment), I was forced to live on my own during the entirety of highschool, completely pure and unaware of what sort of insanity would be breaking down my door soon.

    Up until that happened, it was actually a rather neat experience, all things considered, but, well, yes—

    [] [Ordinary] —I mean, I guess you could say that a 1st year transfer student would be something of a set up for what was to come, and I wouldn't deny that I felt... overwhelmed about moving into a new place, but I like to think that it wasn't that bad. If I had to say something positive about it... Well, it was a chance to reinvent myself, I guess?

    [] [Ordinary] —I mean, I managed to do rather well in my first year, but, well, new year, new responsibilities to deal with, both in school and outside of it, but in general, I like to think that things were going my way for once... Plus, being the 'senpai' of some clueless underclassmen is a truly enjoyable experience.

    [] [Ordinary] —I mean, yes, I guess I could say that things were... Tense, yes, but I suppose that it's normal for third years; almost eighteen, college or work, there's things that people are expecting of me, you know? I was... A bit lost, being honest, but I suppose that that's how it goes for everyone.

    —And, on top of that there's... Well, let me just say: I am a completely innocent victim in all of this, let's just get     that out of the way first of all.

    I had no previous experiences with any supernatural witchcraft that happened here, I had no interest in any supernatural bullshit that many of my age seem to have for some godforsaken reason, I was dragged into this mess kicking and screaming all the way through! My hand was forced in all of these events!

    I'm the victim here!

    ...W-What's with that face!? Do you doubt me? Like hell I was interested in this crap before! Like,—

    [] [Extraordinary] —It started with some weird dreams, reports of people disappearing in the middle of the night, and then it kept going until I had some crazy chase scene with something that was right out of a horror movie and now I have to deal with some weirdo knight and some crazy wizard! Like, you can't tell me magic isn't bullshit!

    [] [Extraordinary] —It started with a very much unwanted freeloader literally dropping from the sky, then there's some crazy terminator-y guy running and gunning around, then there's this damn AI and this other alien who just appeared one day for no reason! Like, come on, give me a break here!

    Alright, alright, I lost my temper for a moment, sorry, sorry...

    That said... There's something I've been wanting to ask you...

    ...Who are you? Where are we? Because I'm rather sure that I'm not where I was a few minutes ago.

    ...Huh? 'I'll understand soon'? Really...? That excuse...? Tch... As if life wasn't hard enough already... At least get a proper excuse when you are kidnapping poor little souls like mine, you know? Someone like me should be treated as if they were made out of glass, you know!?

    Hah... Oh well... Rolling with the punches, as they say...

    Well, if I'm going to be here for a while, then I suppose a bit of story time isn't going to kill me now, would it?

    ...Hm? My name? Ah, well, my name's—

    —And I suppose this is my story... Please be kind to my poor self, this is going to take a while..."


    Every single day of my life I wonder.

    Why? Why do I have these thoughts in my head? Why do I have these erratic thoughts in my head, asking me to put them on paper a document in my computer? Why do I keep having them at such late and inopportune hours?

    Why, God, WHY!?

    ...Alright, slightly more serious...

    I have like a thousand ideas in my head, and every single time I attempt to write them down, they scramble and merge with others, and I'm not happy with that!

    So, here's a thing that I made from some vague ideas that eventually managed to become something coherent.

    In short: I wanted to create a story, brain said no and gave me this other one instead. Brain is in open rebellion against me.

    Anyways, here I go again!
