There's a reason he was my first 10/10/10.I would like to justify it with some proper reasoning, but truth is that I simply like the literary character of Holmes and its Fate incarnation quite a bit.

I mean, there's also the incineration of all human history happening in the background. Also, there is more than just a normal Grail War going on here, if we didn't know that already. So many Casters.
Beautiful..."It won't be a problem." Henry spoke up. "Let Mordred sulk. She'll work through it."
"OI!"
But will Tonelico?

I like Holmes as well but I feel like Caster Sherlock Holmes would be the one person Tonelico would not want to run into. Iirc the Caster version of Sherlock was so good at deducing mysteries that the world itself shoved him into the Ruler class so that he couldn't lay bare every mystery. Caster Holmes would figure out Tonelico's whole deal more than what she's comfortable with.
At least that's my reasoning for this vote.
As I see it, three fronts to address. Also, there is more than just a normal Grail War going on here, if we didn't know that already. So many Casters.
On the other hand I would argue that one of Holmes' defining characteristic in Doyle's stories and in Fate is that he's a very empathetic man who thrives to do good by others, putting this as a priority even above 'solving mysteries'. It's doubtful he would try to unravel a mystery if the only prize is to cause suffering to someone else, and in turn pretty certain he would be able to understand and help Tonelico if she wishes it.
I think the thing people are actually worried about is the Traum reveal.Honestly, I don't see Caster Holmes' character being that much of a factor. It's his ability of deduction that makes me go "maybe they shouldn't meet". In his trial quest, Holmes says that says that by sticking him Ruler the world itself is telling him that not all mystery should be laid bare. Which implies to me at least that as Caster, he has no such obligation holding him back. From what I recall in FGO, if a case is interesting enough, he will go about solving it and Tonelico is a pretty interesting case. Especially since her class is Pretender. Even if he doesn't share what he deduces from her, him just figuring her out puts her in precarious spot.
That's what I think anyways. I'm not an expert on Holmes or Fate and I could be 100% wrong. Just felt like I should put my thoughts out there at least.
