keep in mind that one of the reasons Gaku was created is so that the QMs could skip over things that we find dull. This involves have Hazō have a conversation with Gaku summing things up to Gaku. Additionally, Gaku has been Hazō's secretary for a long time now and has proven himself to be highly reliable and extremely discreet. Hazō has never caught the man leaking information inappropriately, ever. As Hazō's personal secretary, Gaku already has access to the clan documents and Hazō's office. If he were in fact a spy then the Gōketsu have already had basically every secret laid bare.
Hmmm.

Do y'all ever think that maybe Jiraiya killed Minami?

Friendly reminder that Hazō currently has a .7x XP multiplier due to stagnancy, and we're less than a week away from dropping down to .6x.

The only way to get rid of this right now is to begin working on an on-level sealing project. That is to say, to research a Jirayia tier seal. It doesn't have to be the tracking one I proposed, it could be anything of sufficient difficulty. Please include something along those lines, especially if your plan includes a time skip.
Weren't we given a seal by the Hokage? We should probably work on that at least a little.

4FSP is jounin level reduced to chunin level by research notes and the like, it's almost certainly not going to undo stagnancy. Paper has said on Discord that some formulations of Reusable Rocket Boots will undo stagnancy. In addition, they're the single most powerful upgrade we can get for our clan right now. So I'm strongly in favor of pursuing RRBs as stagnancy unlocks.

If we finish Rocket Boots first RRBs should have reduced enough complexity that they won't take very long (fingers crossed). 4FSP is probably going to have full complexity (~60) since we don't know any other barrier seals.

I'm certainly ready to work on 4FSP afterwards. It does need doing. But for now I think we should keep pushing towards necromancy on one SSA branch and RRBs on the other.

Some notes about @Shrooms 's plan
Apologize for lashing out about Jashinism.
  • Hazou's still getting used to the idea of working with Jashin. It's easier picturing him as an ally than something to venerate.
  • Yuno/Hazou publicly supporting Jashin is politically inconvenient to Hazou's goals (therefore inconvenient for Jashin's plans for him.) Leaf isn't ready for Jashinism yet. Hazou's still trying to persuade them to Uplift, which will likely take a few more years.
I don't think this will work: Yuno's mission is to increase Hazou's devotion. She will not like Hazou backing down on Jashinism because of politics. I agree with the not-bolded parts though. Leaf is not ready, we will be shooting ourselves in the foot by outing ourselves so soon. We will be heretics, and all religions will oppose us. If we want Jashin to win, we must play the long game: we should be creating the conditions for a swift conversion of the population. For example, fomenting frustration with other faiths and weakening them eg: how about offing the Hagoromo at some point.
I think the description of Jashin being an ally to us is fair, but could we word that sentence differently; for example:
"Hazou is still getting used to the idea of implementing Jashin's plans rather than simply his own. "

Ask for Yuno's help representing Hazou's aspect.
  • Hazou's branch will kill those who threaten innocent lives.
  • They will promote improved quality of life for as many people as possible.
  • They will encourage voluntary births - willing parents are better at raising successful children.
Not sure if the children's success holds any value for jashinists. I think it might be more effective to say "We will be promoting births, meaning more lives for Jashin to claim"

I think asuma was just trying hard to mimic the welcoming third hokage. And oro unconscious affection for the third felt more cooperative
That's what I believed before rereading the passage, but it doesn't feel like that: Any conscious Oro would see the manipulation and probably be very angry; in truth, it feels like he forgot he even made a preliminary report a second ago. How could that be natural, or caused by unconscious affection?

Edit:
[X] Training Plan (Kei): Deceit to 20

I don't suppose you could add the beginning of seal prep for something that breaks stagnancy?
Hazou is still recovering from SSA during the duration of this plan. Which is only a day or so.

As to unstagnating we don't really have any good immediate candidates. We need to be working on MS7&8 for necromancy so that's one SSA busy. 4FSP is probably about as hard as RB and that won't do it.

My preference is to keep pushing DE and RB, which should take about 2 weeks, (1 SSA cycle + ~4 SSA cycles). Then unstagnate with RRBs, which should be doable.

Plus, we get a really good seal out of it. I can't stress how much we need RRBs right now. Akane probably wouldn't have died if she had them. They're just an amazing seal.

I don't model Oro as someone who typically uses strong social perception.

it feels like he forgot he even made a preliminary report a second ago
Are you referring to this part?
his focused expression was replaced with a more familiar faint scowl
I guess it's a bit weird for Oro to be so focused just when giving a report. But I don't think he forgot about the report. And maybe Oro is someone who gives his all into everything he does.

He does not care for social interaction, but that does not equal bad social perception. He's still an S rank.

Yes, that part and what he says next: that he'll give his usual report later as he is currently tired. It's a stretch, but this sounded to me like he was answering Asuma's initial command, that *no* he would give the report later not right now, therefore that he has no recollection of his previous explanation. *Not* that he just gave his initial report and he'd give the full report later. But I concede that it's a stretch.

Danzō voice.
"Anbu, please report."
Group meeting not the place to debut mind control.
I mean nobody picked up on a it. If you've got subtil means then you don't have to care about the place. Also, honestly who cares if you used it on Oro to make him more cooperative? We'd all sympathise if anything! Snuncle is a problem snake, so you answer with sneaky means.

What do you see as the stakes here? The Hidan scene, yes, that one has stakes because any conversation with a psychotic mass murderer is dangerous. I would have enjoyed writing that one, but unfortunately it was pointed out to me by the NON-cheese-brained QMs that Hidan should be gone already. Everything else in the plan was meetings about meetings, which is the literal definition of what I've said I don't enjoy.
The Thinkers updating negatively on Hazō due to his interest in Jashinism. Mari managing to get info she wasn't supposed to. Shikamaru feeding us lies on purpose.

That's just short term thinking. Successful children are more likely to have plenty of children of their own, ad infinitum. Of course in the real world there is a threshold where this changes and people decide to have fewer children, but not only is this threshold far off, no one in the Elemental Nations even knows about it.

If I get this straight: peasants (majority of the world pop) have a few less children, with the remaining ones being better fed, stronger and therefore working more, hopefully both outperforming the counterfactual of having more children while using less resources.
Tbh, I'd rather we continued/prioritized improving living conditions so any additional child - wanted or not - can live to have children of their own. The demographic transition will take care of itself. We could optimize it, but honestly by the time we get to do anything about it I expect the quest to be done.

Aren't we saying the same thing? Improving living conditions improves population numbers over the long run more than maximizing births/surviving children in one generation does. The question here is how to explain it to the now two Jashinists we know.

Missed that! Thank you!

Also means we shouldn't use lootboxes when under the effects of stagnancy, and maybe not shadow clones either if that chakra can be put to better use/to have the clones do non-training activities that are more time intensive, depending on how severe the stagnancy is.
Paper has stated that the lootboxes might be exempt from stagnancy, the whole idea for Aburame Manjirō, our spec jounin examiner was a sealmaster who had stagnated somewhere in the chunin range, but was able to jump to spec jounin with Jiraiya's notes.

But that's not settled yet, for the moment, yes, no lootboxes until we unstagnate.

*sigh* It's hard to keep track of all the QM statements when they're decentralized.

Do you know what was the total amount of Sealing XP available in all of Jiraiya's publicly available notes?

[x] Unstagnate.
  • Make a foomfort, ahem, doomfort.
    • Swamp of Death or northeast Wind.
    • 3 doomforts in a triangle?
      • Cover outside in symbols of the Five?
  • Blare banshees.
    • Deep bass.
    • Slow, intimidating countdown to zero.
      • 5 months?
  • Let the unlocks come to us.
