[X] Talk to them first, let's see if they can understand Norse.
-[X] Tell them we're just here to kill Troll-Men, thank them for doing some of that for us, offer them food and company if they want. Or to work together if they're also here to kill Troll-Men?

I wonder if becoming a Jarl will be needed at some point in the cultivation process?

So far it seems that Cultivation in general is based on internalizing the external world. Converting external power into internal. Our Orthsirr is ours but not really, but Odr is genuinely and truly ours.

Probably not. Like, it'd be helpful, but not necessary. I don't think Blackhand was a Jarl, for instance.

Are we already in danger of outright losing Hamingja, or is it simply our Hamingja outcomes steadily getting worse while we're underground?

Note: This is not representative of power ranking. It is simply a result of the fact that the troll-men literally cannot get through Gabriel's armor so he can just swing like a madman while everyone else has to pay at least token attention to their own safety.
Ah, finally! Some demonstration of the advantages of platemail!
Now, Halla has reason to try it!
If one wishes to have a healthy garden, they must keep it clear of pests and disease.
Do we need pestici- Oh, walls.
Yeah okay that makes sense.....
Gods it looks obvious in hindsight, you do need to mark your territory from the wilderness, after all.
"Yes," his helmet dips in a nod, "through meditation and contemplation of the Lord's Creation, one can bring a myriad of things to pass."

"Huh," you're about to ask him more but Stigr coughs into his fist and puts a stop to that.
Ah, this little trip is full of gains already!
And more will come *rubs hands*
'We are surface dwellers, creatures of the sunlight. To go against that is to invite terrible things into your life. The longer you spend outside the sun's light, the more bad luck you will accrue. End this as quick as you can, else your hamingja will begin to suffer.'
Hey ca- I see Shard already asked it. Nice.
Does locking someone in the dark (underground) counts as a cruel and unusual punishment?
'Svartalfar, the ancestors of modern day dwarves. You don't typically see this many of them this close to the surface, however... The Enemy is fond of using them in its schemes.'
....if they dwell deep, why are they here, I wonder? Should ask our dwarf friends, if there is something funny going on deep down, aside from the lurkaling war.
One of the potential effects of drinking dragon's heartblood.
.... Is dragon heart blood the panacea/snake oil thats good for everything and cures all ills? :V

So, they have a lot of meat, but we can probably cut a deal with surface food....
The companionship is a bit risky though, if they take that offer for a long term one....

This isn't a plate armor thing, it's a Knight Armor thing. You need actual magic to get through it. Specifically, in our fight vs. the Squire attacks involving less than 7 Orthstirr auto-failed...that number probably varies based on power level and I dunno what Gabriel's number is specifically, but if it's more than zero (and it is), Troll-Men can't do it.

Any plate armor we made would be good, even very good, but it wouldn't do that without a bunch of magic we don't have the first clue how to do added on top.

It could just be like Damage Reduction: 2, something we could duplicate by having 2x Thickened Skin.
