Turn 9: The Gathering Darkness
In the TV continuity of Macross, Komilia's personally responsible for resolving a major mop-up operation against Zentradi militants by Max and Milia basically saying "look at this cute baby and tell me you want to keep fighting." They did not want to keep fighting.
If I remember correctly, didn't they use baby Komilia to freak out the Zentraedi militants and then bomb the shit out of them while they were distracted? That's what I remember from that episode.

Romefeller Foundation Office conference room, Luna II
Despite the branch office of the Romefeller Foundation being on the moon, it is every bit as opulent as its counterparts on Earth, concessions made for microgravity notwithstanding. Currently, you, Yurika, Bright, Kati, and Otto are sitting at a conference table while Murrue and Treize are video-calling from Earth. You're currently all debriefing each other on everything that's happened in the past few days.
"What do you mean Kira Yamato's dead?" Yurika asks in confusion and horror.
"It's exactly what it sounds like. On the last leg of our patrol route, we were ambushed by a ZAFT task force led by the stolen G Project Gundams. We managed to destroy the Blitz and capture the Buster and its pilot, but the pilot of the Aegis managed to destroy the Strike in a suicide attack..." Murrue trails off.
You sigh.
"A shame. I think Banagher would have gotten along well with him." You note. Murrue nods sadly.
"Where are you now?" Bright Noa asks.
"JOSH-A base, in Alaska." Murrue responds.
Otto spits out his tea in surprise, though thankfully he's able to clean up the stray droplets in his reach thanks to the reduced gravity.
"Are you crazy?! That's essentially the headquarters of Blue Cosmos!" He says once he recovers.
"I know, but we couldn't get to Orb due to the sheer number of ZAFT forces in the area, and JOSH-A was the closest facility capable of effecting the repairs the Archangel needs due to the damage we took." Murrue says helplessly.
"Do they know you're talking to us?" Bright asks with a raised eyebrow.
"No. We're using an encrypted backup comm relay for this call. If anyone on the base is monitoring us, all they'll hear is white noise." Murrue assures the group.
"It appears things are moving forward faster than we'd like. First the revelations about the true nature of the Jovian Lizards, and this recent loss. Speaking of which, how is the new module for the Nadesico treating the rest of the ship? I understand that the electrical systems are different." Treize asks Yurika.
"Well, there were a few teething problems at first, but a few...uh...whispers of advice from an anonymous source and a lot of elbow grease from Uribitake solved that problem." Yurika says.
"Good to know. Also, what's this I hear about Mineva Lao Zabi being a guest aboard the Nahel Argama?" Treize says as he shuffles through some notes. Otto sighs before pinching the bridge of his nose.
"I hate to ape Captain Ramius' choice of words, but it's exactly what it sounds like. Mineva had taken on the alias of Audrey Burne, and was apparently at Industrial 7 in an attempt to prevent the Vist Foundation from handing the Unicorn Gundam over to the Sleeves faction of the Neo Zeon remnants." Otto sighs.
"Do Haman and Chara know about this?" You ask.
"There was no way I could conceal this information from them, on either a practical or ethical level. They're both ecstatic and worried sick for Mineva's safety." Treize says.
"Enough for them both to get back in the pilot's seat?" Otto asks hopefully.
"Not just yet." Treize says cryptically.
"Any word from the forces we sent to the Frontier Colonization Fleet?" Yurika asks.
"They've had a few encounters with the Vajra, but have not sustained any casualties yet. There's not much else to say on that front." Treize responds.
You sigh.
"What a mess...why do I get the feeling that the world is moving toward a point of no return?"
No one in the conference wants to prod that question.
Aprilius 1, Clyne Residence
You are Kira Yamato, and you still aren't entirely certain if you've died and gone to heaven, are in purgatory, or are still alive. However, given how painful it is to move in certain manners, you're inclined toward the last option.
You look out across the artificial lake that the Clyne manor is on, and listen to the squawking of birds. You start to cry. Again.
"Kira?" Lacus Clyne's almost angelic voice gets your attention. What did you ever do to deserve being in her care?
"I am sad." You state.
Lacus smiles compassionately before putting her hand on the side of your head.
"First, you must rest and eat. I'll go reheat the food." She grabs you gently by the arm before guiding you back to the dining table inside, Mr. Pink-one of her Haros-bouncing up and down as it follows the two of you.
VOTE BY PLAN
Personal Actions (Pick THREE)
[ ] Bond with a copilot
-[ ] Nina
-[ ] Yukari
-[ ] Lucia
[ ] Socialize with another pilot/squad (you may pick this action twice)
-[ ] Patrick Colasaur
-[ ] Amuro Ray
-[ ] Kamille Bidan
-[ ] Judau Ashta
-[ ] Soma Peries
-[ ] Graham Aker
-[ ] The Aestivalis pilots
-[ ] Uruz Squad
[ ] Search for a woman of your dreams
-You keep having visions of a beautiful blonde woman in your sleep. It's most certainly not your mother, but you get the feeling it's related to the System your parents constructed before they were executed by the Council.
-You get the feeling that she's on Luna II, but you don't know why.
[ ] Relax
-You're rarely able to go to the moon. Enjoy the amenities of Luna II and try to forget about both the Jovian presence and Giganos for now.
-Stress Level: Moderate
Solar Vanguard Actions
Research Action (Pick ONE)
[ ] Mobile Dolls
-Engineer Tubarov is convinced that he is on the cusp of perfecting Mobile Doll technology. Treize has an intense dislike of it, but given how things in the Earth Sphere seem to be reaching a boiling point, it might be prudent to have a way to reduce casualties among your own forces...
-Will provide access to the Virgo Mobile Doll, as well as Mobile Doll versions of basically any generic, non-GN powered mobile suit or variable fighter up through the VF-171
-Will narratively provide you an on-demand, disposable, generic force in most combat scenarios
[ ] The Zero System
-Quatre has recovered schematics for the Wing Gundam Zero, the mobile suit from which all of the Colony Gundams were derived. He has the resources to build it, and Treize has shown interest in the Zero System that it uses for a Gundam he is designing...
-Will provide premature access to the Wing Zero and Gundam Epyon
Political/Intrigue Actions (Pick FOUR)
[ ] Seen and Unseen
-A defector from ZAFT has spilled details on Operation Spitbreak, an imminent offensive that ZAFT is planning to undertake. Unfortunately, the defector was only able to abscond with early drafts of the plan, and as a result, he's not sure if the target of Operation Spitbreak is Panama, where Blue Cosmos has a monopoly on the local mass driver, or the JOSH-A base in Alaska.
-Given that the Archangel is in JOSH-A, it has been deemed prudent to get the ship and its crew (and prisoner) out as soon as possible. They won't be able to without external help, however, and if JOSH-A is the target of Operation Spitbreak, they'll have to deal with ZAFT at the same time.
-You won't be able to overtly move against Blue Cosmos, but you do have deniable assets. Who is sent to retrieve the Archangel?
-[ ] The Ptolemios
--Onboard assets will consist of the Gundam Dynames and the Gundam Virtue
-[ ] The Black Knights Submarine
--Onboard assets will consist of the Guren (flight enabled), the Gawain, the Four Holy Swords' Gekkas, and 2 squads of Akatsukis
[ ] Dancouga Nova
[ ] At the Bottom of the Gravity Well
-The Unicorn Gundam's La+ program has designated the next set of coordinates it wants to be taken to: the sight of Zeon's first colony drop in Australia. Given that the Sleeves will most certainly make a move once they realize what's happening, the Nahel Argama will have to be on its toes, and Bright will take the Ra Cailum over as soon as he can after reporting to EFF high command as a formality.
[ ] What's the point of political parties? Legislation!
-Relena Peacecraft thinks that she has enough influence to start a new political bloc within the Earth Federation Senate.
-Aside from herself, prominent participants will include Marina Ismail, the ruling council of Orb, Kaguya Sumeragi of Japan, and local representatives of the New UN Spacey.
-Will give opportunities to politically influence other factions, and, if necessary, bog them down with red tape. Doing the latter will have diminishing returns, especially against more radical organizations like Blue Cosmos
-[ ] Write-in for the political bloc's name to give me choices for it
[ ] Nergal conspiracy
-Given Akatsuki Nagare's actions in attempting to assassinate Tsukumo Shiratori, it's been deemed prudent to investigate him, Erina Won, and Nergal Heavy Industries' stake in keeping the truth nature of the Jovian Lizards hidden.
[ ] Island of the Gods
-Cornelia and Marrybel have received orders to start preparing for an invasion of Japan from Charles zi Britannia. More specifically, they have orders to take Kamine Island. They have no idea why, but they're not exactly keen on doing this.
-Refusing to participate will almost certainly start a civil war in Neo-Britannia
-The Knight of Six is planned to be an active participant in the invasion, and a leak from the OSI suggests that Jeremiah Gottwald is alive and brainwashed.
[ ] NERVous breakdowns
-While the main forces of the Solar Vanguard were in space, NERV and its Evangelions confronted and killed the Angel Israfel after several missteps. Although Shinji and Asuka were forced to learn how to work together to succeed, you're worried that this might also inadvertently drive a wedge between them in the future. Not helping is Shinji's obvious attraction to Asuka.
-Send one of the girls to investigate, and, if necessary, intervene as she sees fit to make sure Shinji and Asuka don't hate each other
-[ ] Nina
-[ ] Yukari
-[ ] Lucia
[ ] Behemoth
-Recent intelligence suggests that the JLF is going to execute some kind of terror attack on Tokyo. What's most concerning is that they seem to be in possession of a Lambda Driver, though no one has any idea how it's being used, or where they got it from. Help the Tuatha de Dannan find and stop the terrorist plot.
