Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Just noticed, on top of the +10 to defense fiefwide from the Veins themselves, we got 5 fiefwide from Zhengui 🤩
I'm concluding from this that most defensive bonuses from cultivators/ improvements are going to be settlement-specific, while spiritual defenses will be fiefwide.

I honestly don't like fief building for couple of reasons and biggest one is this fief is not our own and once we get our own we will have to do all these things all over again essentially making this part a very extended tutorial.

Plus I have some suspicion that CRX is going to be called to somewhere else and give this place to us but being coy like that just confuses the issue for me so I hope not.

In short it is not fun. Can I just vote for letting CRX handle these and fast foward to our own fief?

To be clear, Qi's legal fief will be a secondary settlement that will be in permanent contact with this one, and will probably share resources with Snowblossom's main holding because it's more efficient this way (well-integrated imperial baronies are specialist towns that solve a specific need for the viscounty's capital, trying to make a generalist settlement when you're not expected to go much bigger than a small town is not a bright idea), and yeah, at some point Qi will be the viscountess of Snowblossom because Renxiang will need to move to Xiangmeng's court to do Duchess stuff, and Guangli will probably follow her there because a soldier needs to be there to do his job, while Qi as a diplomat can make do with multi-presence.

So we got day job as a minister untill then? That makes much more sense. But repeating some of these gameplay is going to be boring I think unless something changes which it might so alright.

Honestly, I think GG may stay in the South too. He's now building himself as a guardian for the people, not Renxiang's bodyguard.

Also, I've always believed that we should do Admin last so

The poster who came up with
[X] Plan Don't Run with Scissors
put a lot of thought and time b behind it; as I'm not going to do that I'll support their vision. Plus it seems to make sense.

Honestly it's scary that the useless option is winning by 2-1. No matter what you think the priority should be, taking Admin Center first is the worst thing to do. Well, I suppose if your assumption is "in future, people will vote suboptimally" then there might be an argument for voting suboptimally this time, but ... come on.

This is going to take 7 months to get to Hamlet but we're not even going to get Quarry soon out of that delay. If we take Quarry next time it will take the place of Docks, both of which are more important. Pastures is also important but if we're to have any hope of optimal development we have to put it of until Admin Center is done.
  • If you want Hamlet in 6 months, pick two of Docks/Pastures/Granary now, and vote Admin Center next turn. Quarry cannot be taken.
    • all 3 of those have useful unlocks hidden, though we can only afford to actually take one if it provides a permanent population boost, or if it's a non-fief one. Granary maximizes safety, Pastures maximizes production, Docks maximizes unlocks.
  • If you want Quarry (this forces Hamlet to take 7 months), take it now with Docks or Granary; Docks is slightly more predictable since then we can take Granary + Boats next turn. In this case, Pasture should wait since we can't staff it. Admin Center should be taken in 2 months. With this approach we have one free project, likely best used on a pasture/granary unlock, though the quarry upgrade isn't catastrophic.
  • If you want to put off this decision until next turn, take Docks and Granary. That's not a decision I would've preferred to put off, but that's minor compared to the catastrophe of taking Admin Center now, and it's the only sane plan with a significant number of votes right now.

Ling Qi is going to yoink all of Snowblossom the second Renxiang begins making noises about focusing more on Xiangmen politics.

She had no idea how that would go, but she wasn't going to do it right now. If only because she was pretty sure Xia Lin would spontaneously develop multipresence in the third realm in order to come strangle her if she went and did such a 'spontaneous negotiation' with the Summit nearly underway.

Renxiang would probably help her too.
Lmao

Our Ling Qiness is truly mighty, to enable a third realm to develop powers reserved for the fourth through sheer frustration.

People need a guardian outside Snowblossom as well.
GG might decide to build a home in the south, but his career path, and way, kinda requires him to move around, and capital is pretty good place to learn where/when the shield is needed.

While you convinced me a while ago, I think your tone might be having the opposite effect of what you want, dude. I get that you're frustrated but maybe take a breather?
