Wait, is the raid that Stigmar is talking about the one where Steinarr killed Lord Highwater and enslaved Gabriel?

If so, that really puts things into perspective. I thought Steinarr soloed the Knight that was Gabriel's master, but it actually took a 34v1 to take him on? With a guy like Steinarr among them? And assuming that the other guys were comparable to Steinarr in steength, on account of them being veteran vikingar, too...

Damn.

Unless they were taking turns fighting the Knight in single combat.

Almost certainly. That's the only raid Steinarr's been on recently.

I get the impression Steinarr was way above average even for that raiding group. I also got the impression he fought the knight alone at the end from what he and Gabriel both said. But yes, the guy was obviously very scary indeed.

The others were probably one tier below Steinarr. So, like Age 30+ vikings, while Steinarr was closer to Age 40. So yeah, if you're unlucky with raiding rolls you can meet cultivators multiple ranks above you and get wiped.
This is likely the last raid we'll do for some time tho, since after this we have to raise the kids.

Wait, our orthstirr didn't refill itself? Only our stokables did?

No, it did. We have 68 invested in our Attributes and Skills (and 45 of that is combat pool and Tactics stuff, so very relevant)...that very rarely replenishes pre-fight (and if it does it resets all our stats to 1, so we'd need to spend that 45 again...more if we want Composure, Scouting, or Overland, which we probably do). We still have the other 59 and our stokables.

If we can kill the Squire quickly we can rush over to the knight and help out there. We have stabilizing hand, so we can prevent fatalities as long as the knight is handled.

The rest of the felag are dead, aren't they?

Well shit.
Likely they are maybe around 7th decade or 1 over the priest we solo'd and they have the jarl who should be stronger than us they might even be able to take a 8th decade without massive amounts of death if the knight gets cocky, which is unlikely since its not a 1v1.

EDIT: hope i didnt jinx it

I'm betting the Knight is more on par with the Priest we already fought (though more combat oriented) than he is with the one that Steinarr fought and killed. Which isn't, y'know, good but is a lot more manageable, especially for like 8 people working together.

Like 'knight' starts in the 4th decade, so it's not a death sentence or anything just because he's a Knight. I expect that, given his squire, he may be a tad more badass than that, but 5th Decade is still probably beatable. 6th might start being problematic, but we'll just have to see.

7th or 8th Decade is pretty much guaranteed death. Steinarr could easily wipe the Felag, especially with 1/3 of it on the other side.
